Personally I would’ve kept him until the Europa games had been played. For all his faults (much like Geo - he seemed to be able to setup the team for Europe). Someone I know heard Dio and Raskin out at dinner the other night talking abut him and said the they weren’t saying anything negative - but could see he was losing focus. He got dealt a seriously shit hand at the start of the season; no home games, multiple injuries, being put in the firing line with no structure around him. However, he stumbled on a formula and when it was successful - decided to revert back to the setup that didn’t work previously. ‘Man is nothing but that which he makes himself’ Riddles, baffling subs and hallucinations of synergy and dare I say - coming across as aloof - will never ever be accepted by our supporters. Sometimes you need to hit rock bottom before you can start rising again. Let’s get behind the team, stick together and remember we are about to start a new journey that even that lot are jealous about. The period of inertia is over and a new sun is coming.

A lot of people quick to make excuses for Clement, truth is he's one of if not the worst managers to have ever took charge of our club. Good riddance.

This was a buck-passing exorcise by a failure of a board. The day King left the building the decline of our club began. When you misuse so much money then you end up in a deep hole, liek we are tonight. The man they sacked tonight is a good coach and a good manager, but he’s not a magician, which is what they will need to find now. People have already been linking Gerrard’s name to the job, but he left because of those same people, because they startled doing what they have been doing for three years now. The only hope is they conclude a takeover quickly, and there is. An appointment in less time than they normally take. This board move slow, so I’m not confident of them realising where they are tonight. I what should be clear tonight is that you can’t rebuild Rangers without proper spending, and if you go for long-term, then you need to make it plain hoe difficult it could get. They never conveyed any of those to the fans, and the manager has been thrown in front of the bus by this group of sell=outs who are running the club. We’re an embarrassment tonight.

I don’t buy the shit hand others seem to give him a pass on. The manager controls the team not the board room, they manage the players, set up and training not the catering or stadium. Was the start ideal no, but he was backed to an extent and had far in excess sufficient resources to be in this league and compete which he abjectly failed to do. No progress, so signs of development or learning none of which is down to anyone bar him. 442 2 up front Physicality Dig Basics.

Unfair tbh, Jefte and Igamane were bought, developed then played, they progressed to an extent they are now highly valued sellable assets even now and will be even more so in future

Two players who are have been a mixed bag due to being young, not their fault but hardly signs Clement did anything bar throw them in. Not unfair at all, an opinion like this those who seem to think he was running the club not managing a team with significant resources well above all bar one in the league. Of all our recent managers he has had the most support bar possibly Beale and was an abject failure.

I don't think Stewart has covered himself in glory here, in fact the complete opposite. Absolute bloody shit show again Rangers. I'm so angry I'm becoming apathetic towards the club and that's a real worry for me personally.

Gerard is not a very good manager FFS he is nowhere near the answer. The players are due a roasting for the rest of the season Clement was stuck in his ways but my god they have stained our jersey,I want the imposters gone. Start getting the youngsters in for some game time until we get the new guy

The news we've all been waiting on for Faaaaaaar too long. In my opinion the Hierarchy at Rangers needs to come out and apologise for the Years and Years of Shitshows we've been subjected to and give a Promise to us fans that Rangers will no longer be run in this way. Get the 49er deal done and Trim the fat from Top to Bottom accordingly. That lot across the road are about to over take us in League Titles won and because of aforementioned Shitshows, they've been allowed to lord it over us for the best part of this Millenium. I come from a Spoiled Generation so my expectations are Sky High like Millions of the current support. The Board and Players just need to match those expectations or quite frankly they can F Off and exit stage Left.

Totally disagree. Nothing he did seemed planned or considered, fundamentally disagree. Waited until they were ready ? While telling us Igamane or Proper couldn’t play he had Jefte in almost immediately, his management or the squad is precisely why he was sacked. Was Nsiala a pateient waiting game? Is continuing to use Lawerence strategic thinking ? Which of our youth has he developed ? You picked one guy I like in Jette who has more or less played from day one and Igamane who looks as streaky as Dessers. In the last half dozen games Igamane has been used out of position, played up solo blunting his game and other than the odd guy self generating a goal Clement stood clueless watching as we toiled. You’re entitled to your opinion, as am I, but he had a far better hand to play than everyone in the league bar one team. Zero sympathy for the guy who gaslighted us for about 12 months. The idea he was operating from behind the 8 ball, to me anyway, is utter nonsense. Never mind what you don’t have, what are you doing with what you have ? Abject failure and your poor Phil routine doesn’t wash for me, other teams in our league can’t always get consistency or the level of talent we have access to but they show week in week out they know the league, they can set up effectively in a shape and they routinely out work us. Clement is the latest foreign manager who tells us they understand Rangers when we have swapped pursuing excellence for making excuses. I’m bored of the club feeling whipped and sorry for itself, we have gone from No Surrender to, it’s No our fault.

I like the boy Blue but he was thrown in to an ever changing defence and we don’t seem to know if we want him to mind the shop or get forward. He is talented and will make us money I think but he is being badly used and like many others in that team hung out to dry by an incompetent manager. The players should have pride and their own fire in the belly but the reality is it must be soul destroying to listen to a guy who talks fluent nonsense. We have all had management or supervisors like that in life at work and the impact is insidious. Shame as he started well and seemed no nonsense, turned out he was all nonsense.

The Motherwell team we failed to beat last season was full of them and they played like it was a cup final. We as usual failed to compete and basically fkd the season.

IMO we’re actually now in a worse position without clement. This board have done this way too late and now done it at the wrong time. Clement has managed to dig results out in Europe (don’t know how) whilst domestically there’s absolutely nothing to play for So now we’re going with this Moroccan guy who we don’t know if he has the skill to compete in Europe tactically especially against mourinho or we’re going for an interim like I’ve seen people say Kevin Thomson, Barry Ferguson or Neil McCann We’d actually have been better with clement. That sums up this board. Even when they sack the guy who needs sacked, they’ve done it at the wrong time and left us in a weaker position.

Nonsense. Clement did do well and Europe but he also had a good record at Ibrox. His issue was away games. Everything has now gone to shit. The players have chucked it. Rightly or wrongly, that’s what happens in football nowadays. He had to go.

I agree he looks like he's a bit burnt out coz he's hardly been rested, his one on one defending was ok at the start of the season but lately folk are just breezing past him and everything looks half hearted. Hopefully get a reaction now Clement has gone.
