Basically give us more money and see you again next year.

I've only had a chance to read the Twitter updates as I'm at work.... Did anyone mention the potential legal cases with Elite and Sydney cup as I couldn't see them mentioned?

William Black

Same every year “we will get stuck into them this is our opportunity”. The reality is stupid selfish questions like “why can I no sit next to my pals”, “why is the wifi shite”, “why can I no park right outside my turnstile”. As opposed to: “Does Beale have a budget for players”? “What the hell was the Sydney friendly with them all about”? “Reports coming out we are being sued by Elite, is this true and if so should we be concerned”? “Are we finally rid of MA”?

David Harrison

The Sydney friendly was about the board doing what they can to make us good money. A few million quid for a couple of games. Should have gone ahead.

William Black

Totally get why they did it, they’ll do anything to make a few quid. I’d rather keep my morality, and the Clubs morality, intact than the play them in a friendly regardless of the money.

Some embarrassing and irrelevant questions being asked, I know they all have that right as shareholder but the covid denier who feels oppressed can GTF IMO. As for Mygers, clearly, it's here to stay and brings in over 1m per season. As a fanbase, it's time to get over it and come up with solutions to make it better instead of continuous personal accounts of how they can't get a ticket for every single game. Normally those types of questions don't bother me but I find it astounding and somewhat concerning that no "shareholder" asked about having to pay out 8m+ in damages and legal fees despite being told that it had first been sorted and then told there would be a limit on said payout. Add in further pending court action by Elite (hardly) and nothing was mentioned. No mention of the disconnect and contempt shown by the board toward the fanbase regarding Australia and general communication when again the club faces yet another court case due to their moronic decision-making. No mention of revamping the ticketing process or the poor website/App, you know, things that drive the business.

Hopefully they carry out the changes long overdue to the disabled supporter’s facilities. I took my late severely disabled Son to the Progres home game in 2017. I couldn’t get parked in the space allocated in the car park for my Son because, and this is a direct quote from the steward staffing the car park, ‘a Rangers director has taken that space’. This was never denied by any of the members of staff I complained to subsequently. That’s what at least one member of the Rangers board thought to a 9 year old disabled supporter. My friend was there that night in the Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle I transported him in and verified that I’d heard what the steward said correctly. The steward in question seemed to think I should have somehow been impressed. On another occasion shortly afterwards the Head Of Security at the time (don’t know if he still is) David Martin, refused to allow us entry to the stadium car park as we were ‘too late’…we had got stuck in a queue on the M74. He then hung the phone up on me when I tried to discuss these 2 incidents and the ignoring by Rangers stewards in the stadium of some disgusting gestures being made by Celtic fans in the Broomloan towards my Son, at least 1 of these 3 incidents he was directly responsible for. I complained by email and in person to Stewart Robertson and he did nothing. A man of no substance in my opinion from my very limited dealings with him. I won’t say too much about what I think of those 2 loathsome individuals, stealing a wage, and their personal character. Rangers are full of wage thief’s who have nothing but disdain for the supporters. All of the above is 100% true and verifiable. A lot of people at the time wanted me to contact the media to shame those individuals and the club generally but I refused to badmouth my club publicly on principle. As I say, here’s hoping they’ve been shamed into adopting a different attitude towards our disabled supporters nowadays. Too late for my Son to have been treated with a bit of respect and dignity though. I will never forget or forgive Robertson and Martin in particular. I fully intended in calling them out at the AGM that year but unfortunately my Son was ill in hospital at the time.
