Anytime I have seen Davies he has always stood out - unfortunately, as someone who has always looked out his depth!

My worry is the manager was describing these signings from witnessing them as a youth coach, years ago. Not current form. Seems like more "leap of faith" signings. If we can get them back to form..

Both good players but what a gamble, if they do come in and I was lowry I would be offski, I’d rather give lowry 10-12 games that cantwell, head scratcher

If Davies and Cantwell are brought in, and it looks nailed on we'll sign Tillman permanently, then Lowry can join the list of our own promising young players that are likely just going to either stagnate or move on elsewhere and kick on. Also suggests we're back to thinking guys that look like they can't hack it with relegation battlers down south will be great for us as it's only Scottish football.

Operating in markets the manager is personally familiar with gives me flashbacks to Warburton and Mark Allen failures, but it seems to have worked quite well for the goons across town so who knows.

I find myself hoping the Davies and Cantwell signings are confirmed, because I don't want anyone from Rangers naming players then the signing being hijacked

Davies I don't know much about but have seen him play for Everton a few times looks a decent size athletic enough would definitely be a good addition to midfield. Cantwell I like to however I would prefer lowry was given his fair chance in those attacking areas before we looked at signing a similar type of player. Am a huge fan of lowry and would hate to see him leave because of lack of games.

It’s Davies not Davis. “IES” Not “VIS” Sorry it’s just annoying me that nobody gets it right. Same with Tom Davies at Everton. It’s not said the same as Steven Davies. Same as Kevin Davies the old Bolton striker.
