Joey Barton 🤣 When Bristol Rovers played at Cambridge a few weeks ago I had a couple of pints with an older Rovers fan before the match his opinion of Barton was he is a fücking moron , guy isn’t wrong. He got dogs abuse from fans in the main stand and couldn’t help himself reacting , as the guy said moron.

Charlie Nicolson

Joey Barton a "publicity stunt". Is that rhyming slang?

Tamus

Joey Barton shat his pantaloons from lego Broon

Mark

A guy who booted his wife while she was lying on the deck.

The only part that was right in the statement was there should be a true pyramid system, because this would allow our B team to rise up through the leagues. We would find our level that way, and they could impose strict criteria about which players could play in the side. That’s all that we’ve ever asked of Scottish football. I understand lower league clubs thinking it threatens their legitimacy, but the reality is that we have more clubs than the country can realistically sustain, when you compare us to other countries of a similar size. If the authorities wanted to prioritise the standard of the game, they would allow development sides to find their levels in a pyramid system. It was arguably the one thing that Wilson did in his time, gaining access to the Lowland League, but even that was an idea being pushed by Craig Mulholland before he arrived.

I think "filling in of the corners" wouldn't result in shutting down of any of the stadium. I think the cost would be within our reach. The cost of these things tends to be in the detail. If it is just steel, concrete and seats it could be done at a reasonable cost. The big money is if you start adding in hospitality and facilities. Both corners would likely add about 5 or 6k seats with great views.

The people moaning about NEH need to give it a rest, Murray spent a decade letting our club stagnate and only worried about the next transfer window. Now we have long term strategic projects and planning, yes that takes money from the first team in the short term but pays off in the long term.

Just a quick one David, do the MyGers members get points as well as the ST holder when using Seatsub or not? I use a friend's ST whenever he can't make it which is a few times a season. If that is the case I'll start doing it, more benefitting for everyone that way. If not, it needs sorted. Sorry for the question, you must get loads.

Stadium expansion. The issue is the “goalpost” steel frame holding up the roof. The gable ends of Copland and Broomloan have steel columns which means the corners would all be restricted view seats. The concrete slabs under the seats are 40 years old and are showing cracks and wear and tear. They will need surveyed soon. Especially after Leipzig game! Can’t lower the pitch anymore due to water table I believe. Could possibly do a club deck style above the main stand??? Dependent on existing foundations and room available to rear of Govan stand. Access for cranes etc??? Whatever they do won’t be cheap. I was involved with Southampton St Mary’s and it cost £19.5Mill for a 30,000 stadium. In 2000. Couldn’t buy a centre half’s leg in England for £20Mill now.

Great point about not being rusty before the SF.

Stadium expansion isn’t realistic is it? I heard recently Luton will spend £10m on getting their media area etc up to scratch to be in EPL nevermind anything else The ONLY cost effective spend for me is safe standing. Broomloan lower is the obvious starting point. I realise it is something the board want to stay away from and it would disrupt season ticket holder. It is the only cost effective way to increase capacity (somewhat) and in terms of atmosphere I think it would be superb and frankly the young team have earned the chance to have that sort of section. Visually it’d look incredible and has to help the noise

Would we want Man City/Chelsea having "B teams" in our top league? No. Why? Because it devalues the league. Lower league fans are quite right to object.

Joey Barton has NEVER EVER been classed as a Brilliant player. He was a Classless Thug who sauntered about in his own Wee world thinking he was Paul Gascoigne in his own mind. His attack on Warburton is just a cheap shot at a man who rightly smelt his Bullshit and seen him for he really was and that nowhere near Rangers Class. Barton was found out pretty much on day one and made to look more like an Accies player when he got shown up against them. Fact of the matter is, Barton is a Bitter Wee man who has been quickly forgotten by every fan from every team he ever Sadly featured for. I have a saying for guys like him and it goes like this: "I wouldn't pay him to make the Tea for the Guy who makes the Coffee"
