Guard of honor for Celtic then ? They can win the league first game of the split can't they ?

Neil Wilson

I would agree that Jack is the only guy from the out of contract players to be kept. Would love Rangers to do a bi-monthly/quarterly update concerning projects and infrastructure news around the club. Would keep everyone up to date and help prevent vacuums being created and filled. Accountability is key for supporters. I suppose that might be why it's not been implemented already from within the club.

Rose Mcloughlin

Thanks David for another great pod....not sure if hearts are at home or away ha ha...you were just making us use our brains..🤣👍

Bill Browning

I’d like Arfield to get another year as an impact sub

Rod

Why does this guard of honour stuff always get spoken about, was never even a talking point for my entire Rangers supporting life until the last few years.

Rod

Feel David is letting heart rule the head on Jack. No hard feeling towards him but he's a waste of a wage, we can't have half fit players hobbling about the place half the season anymore. Homegrown or not, it's time to move on, his body isn't up to it anymore.

Gregg

Really depends what the wage is - if you can reduce his basic and increase it based on appearances such that if he plays the majority of games he’d significantly increase his salary, it’s a win win. Might also encourage him to bin Scotland.

Russ

Never mind not coming off his line, McGregor doesn't even dive if it's looking like a good strike. People slammed Lloris for that against Newcastle at the weekend, we see that every week.

Paul

Why is it 3 p.m. on a Sunday for Aberdeen? Also, given Jack's age, wouldn't he want a good financial deal for himself? Probably the last one. Personally, I would not renew it. We have to move on

Monkspath Miko

He’s 31. So unlikely to sign a deal for less wages at this point in his career. Isn’t worth the gamble to us or him because he knows he can’t seem to play multiple games a week. He’s great when fit but his body seems to be letting him down. Harsh but we need to be ruthless. Last year we let McGregor, Davis and Arfield come back. Don’t want similar decisions getting made this summer.

George Higgins

Agree. I was all for him getting another year but then along came the latest injury news. No longer viable to waste money on him.

Craig

Beale not bringing him on once against Celtic so far maybe tells it's own story...hope to be proved wrong at the weekend!

Saddest part about the 🐑 chants is nothing will be done about it

Samuel Campbell

The issue with Butland is the lack of games he has had recently. Had a bad injury then seemed to be on the early retirement bus looking like he was happy to be a 2nd or third choice in the premier league. He was a good keeper a while ago but hasn't really shown anything recently to say he is still a good keeper but at the end of the day this is the market we are in

Andrew Hind

I would keep Jack and get rid other out of contract players and free up some money for new players to come in freshen place up

John Smith

Bisgrove new CEO !!!!!

David Kiltie

I thought the Old Firm game would have been the 3rd fixture. A 3rd visit to Easter Road to even up the home and away fixtures- rather that than Pittodrie . Sunday is key to the mood music surrounding the post split fixtures - either fierce competition for cup final places or everyone just wising the season away.

Martin Davies

Hi Bill I'm not sure we can carry players in the squad purely to be impact subs. I'd be letting Arfield go and I would also let Jack go due to his appalling injury record. We've had too many players needing "managed" over the past 2 seasons due to injuries or age, and we need to move to a lean squad of players who are available to play 2 or 3 games a week.

Gregg

Would like us to have a viable no2 as well - think it’s a bit of a gamble given his form and injuries last few years. Hopefully it works out
