I don’t harbour any ill will towards Scott Wright. He did a job for us, yes he had limited ability, but never tried to pretend to be anything he wasn’t. He gave 100% every time he played, it was just never good enough sadly. I wish him well in his future

We kept the appointment of Malky Mackay quiet … Iroegbunam makes sense both as a Villa academy player and one who Beale had at QPR. That said, surely a loan as he is under contract til 2027 Dowell would be an upgrade on Scott Wright but no point pretending the injury record is a concern

Davie, are you ten years married and you still don't understand what happened at the Yankee Candle shop? Basically Sally wandered in on her way between other shops; she didn't need to go in, but she can't really go past Yankee Candles without a wee browse. Alas when she did go in there was a new scent that she really loved, but she had plenty candles in and couldn't justify it to herself. Then as she was reluctantly placing it back on the shelf, she suddenly remembered that her husband was having a bad day. It wouldn't occur to him to be cheered up by a nice new candle, but Sally knew better.
