Rangers had 2nd place in their own hands going into the last two matches of the season but, of course, blew it. That set up a clash with one of our bete noires of the season, Queen of the South.

Join Dave, David, Stuart and Rob as they discuss the brief tenure of Stuart McCall as Ibrox boss.

This will cheer me up after the weekend 😂

Something to take a little bit of heart from is that, normally, after ‘one of those seasons’ (when a team know they’re getting broke up at the end of the season), the following one is usually a pretty good & memorable season (I’m thinking 1998-1999, 2015-2016 and maybe also 2018-2019 to some extent) - we can hope right?! 😅

David Baillie

David’s points on the mindset of players coming to the end of a contract is spot on. As fans we think, even expect that players will have the same emotions and commitment as the supporters. Sadly this is not always the case. To a lot of players it’s only a job.

Admission here I did boo Lee McCulloch ( only player I have ever done that to ) but is it any different to screaming " FFS SAKALA " on Sunday ? Not for me , it's OK having a utility player but Walter tried him as a centre half Vs Aberdeen in his last season but either changed it after 20 mins or at HT then McCoist tried him at centre midfield in his 1st season in the 1st game Vs Hearts ( 1-1) and any McCoist midfield it was basically McCulloch Davis Edu and i hated playing with 3 centre mids so I was pretty done in with him especially given the contract he was on in the lower divisions, but its not all doom and gloom he was forced through Injuries to Kevin Kyle and Sandaza that Lee McCulloch was playing as a striker scoring goals and I'm thinking " finally regardless of the level he's contributing positively " but the last 2 seasons at centre-half finished me with that Falkirk game being the end and i wasnt alone .........

11th vs 2nd in a two legged playoff for me. A team finishing 4th in a 10 team league shouldn't be getting promoted, and the setup makes it almost impossible anyway. Third and fourth are just there to tire out the team in second.

This felt like a real 03-04 type season to me from as far back as September, I'd definitely settle for next year being an 04-05.

John Smith

Always felt Zeefuik was a baller. Thought we should of got him

Stephen

Would it be appropriate to invite Cameron James Bell for next week?

Rod

As much as the playoff structure shafts the championship clubs they know if they do go up that it offers them protection of going right back down so maybe not hated as much as we think.

Fook me, that was murder. Can't explaon how grim it was to hear and relive. As a bit of gallows humour, when you're watching the game at Easter Road again for the second leg, have a look at Cammy Bell's top in the first twenty minutes. He looks like he's done one of those slides through the mud at Glastonbury he was diving about so much. Ridiculous.

I’d started going back to Ibrox once the good guys took over, but the Falkirk game was the first one I took my son to. An absolutely grim match, but he was addicted, and just over seven years later I got to take him to see us play in a European final. Incredible turnaround looking back on it.
