Superb show. I was working at Rugby Park that day and had my dad and brother as guests in hospitality. I managed to stay calm until 3-0 when I jumped up and celebrated like a banshee. Quite how we didn’t get thrown out is beyond me!

Superb podcast Alan. A pressure valve releasing the tension regarding anxiety re the Gers. Confident going forward. Enjoy the recorded game commentary a lot, and your choice of tracks. Appreciated. Watched the 3 - 0 match again. Onwards. Bands - The Mars Volta. No way you can shoehorn them in.

Always love a Monday morning 😊 Could I request a song which reminds me of Manchester please. Always remember The Stone Roses being played at half time and me calling the wife and singing to her, poor lassie 🤣. The track is " I am the Resurrection" cheers Alan 👍

David Best

Great show mate. I actually have lots more memories of the day in Manchester than the game itself. Possibly due to the beer!!

Steve Clark

How spooky I was watching how the west was won yesterday afternoon.

Jim Bennett

Good show Alan with good selection of music. I like to bore the pants of folk by reminding them I saw Jimi Hendrix live in Green's Playhouse in 1967. I was also fortunate to watch that great 1963 team live on many occasions.

Steve Clark

Dublin airport looked like the last night at the proms the evening before (when we flew over) Manchester and the morning of the game was the same.

Alan Bradley

No one likes a show off Jim, seriously I’m jealous on both counts, Jimi and the 63 side.

Good stuff Alan I travelled up from London to Manchester and will never forget the sea off red white and blue as we came out picadilly station. I managed to catch up with a few of my city mates so the day wasn't all bad. Sporting integrity FC hit a new gutter level that year using Phil O'Donnell's death as an excuse to postpone the new years game ( when they had loads of injuries).

David Baillie

Great stuff Alan. I now have a vision of you cutting aboot Wishy in your white Imp Sport c/w twin choke Webbers, fluffy dice and a feather cut from Jim Taylor. 😂😂😂 Keep up the good work.

Usual great show. Manchester was a superb day with great weather and thousands of Bears. Pity about our display and the result. Worst part for us was being in a queue at the train station from 10.30 - 5.30am to get our train to Blackpool and then taxi to our digs in St Annes. 4 hours sleep then drive home to Erskine.

Alan Bradley

Agree re disappointment if the game and afterwards. Fortunately the excitement of that season’s European run out weighed the negatives. Another final next season would be nice.

Bob MacCallum

Dream on, Alan. Hope to be able to meet you in person soon at the H n H live show at NEH. My son and I will be there.

We also were staying in Warrington. Manchester avoided the criticism it should have got for lack of public transport after the game because of the other headlines. (We didn’t know about the bother until next day either). Was so disappointed that we didn’t go for it in that game. Similar to many I’m sure, have never watched recording of game.
