I would love to sign Cammy Devlin. Proper wee warrior who can be developed so much further.

A lot of positives from weekends game from way mccrorie comands not only his box but also his back 4 , for me the games hes been in past 2 weeks it looks most confident the defence has been and thats allowed them to push 10 yards further up the park which helps squeeze the oposition. Defence for once when no pass was on and when they pressed went long which was a massive plus for me and seen the benefits of it with amount of second balls we won or were able to close them down quickly if they picked up second ball. Raskin , Jack and Lundstram when watching game back were like animals constantly nipping in at them and makeing them play passes they did not look comfortable playing as they had to go back or play rushed passes to players who mostly were not set for pass and we benefited in winning ball back just look at 3rd goal for what it looked liked when they were rushed. Sakala and Matondo a lot of work done off the ball in shutting off the passes and runs they like to get from there full backs and the amount of balls sakala won in air impressed me as hes not the type of player you would say would win most aerial challanges but that for me comes from them not being allowed to set as we bypassed press with ball played up park as i said previous. Also at times both were effective in possesion. Cantwell what cant that boy not do. All we have heard for 2 seasons now nearly is their captain dominates games etc, etc For me their captain will be having nightmares about cantwell as he got bossed and you could tell at the game he didnt like it gave him no time to try dictate ball and tempo for them which stops them from being able to dominate games. Off the ball some of the positions he took up and space he created with just a drop of a shoulder and taking a step to the left or right was a joy to watch. On the ball was best joy to watch he is just a different player to what we have had in our squad for years and dare i say it most all round display from any rangers player against them since barry ferguson?

Hi David. Apologies and true to my fickle form I was very doubtful that our new midfield players were creative enough or could contribute enough after the semi final, particularly Raskin. However, both Cantwell and Raskin were outstanding on Saturday as were all the players really. I do think the gaffer’s decision to play both slightly further forward was a great move! Let’s just say the office was a much better place to be today than 2 weeks ago! 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧

Good man! If we can get a few quality players around him and Todd we’ll have a chance. But as we all keep saying - forwards forwards forwards!

Bet all the podders are queuing up to do the flagship tonight looking forward to it🙌🏻🙌🏻

Hey David, is there a post match press room report for Saturday? I seem to be missing it.

Gregg

Dropping cantwell onto McGregor was a good move - thought it’s something we should have been doing with him and brown before him as we’ve given both time to drop and get on the ball too often in previous matches

Ah, one of my favourite match day pods, along with you video reactions! Shame. Thank you for all you and the plodders work and time, you all help me get through the week.

I agree we really need more options up front. Strange we never went for another Defoe type player. Proven older goalscorer at the end of their career who doesn't mind coming on for the last 20 minutes.

It would be interesting to know what Parma’s numbers are like. You can’t really get anything off those vT’s on YouTube, so maybe some of the guys who like their stats can run them up. Nesbitt is a good player, and the sort of signing we should certainly be looking at. Whether he’d want to sign for us is a big question, though, once you dig into his biography online. I know McCann did, but he was open minded enough to ignore all the nonsense. Most of that side on Saturday will probably be here next season. Those who are being replaced where either injured, on the bench or in the stands. A huge amount of wages are going to be freed up in the summer, so I’m sure Andy will be happy.
