Great discussion there about change. Something my dad said to me in the 80s was that a key difference between Rangers and Celtic fans is demand. Demand to be the best at all times. During their lean spells they just got on with turning up every week whereas Rangers fans would stop going eventually until the team was successful again. Could say glory hunters, but equally could say that’s a drive for success as the club cannot thrive without them. I think here we have a recognition that the club cannot continue as second best, it’s anticipating that drop in interest from fans and getting ahead of the game by taking that risk of tearing it up (to a degree given Beale has been here previously) and setting in motion some higher ambition. Actions as well as words. I know we have a magnificent fanbase, loyal beyond belief and perhaps times have changed since the early 80s in that respect, but I do think there’s something in that demand. The pitchforks are out at drawing games these days, but that’s probably what sustains success with an ambitious board at the helm. Roll on next season, we will see if the proof is in the pudding!

Haven’t felt that good coming out of Ibrox since this time last year. Given how poor the season has been I think we all needed that. Gives us some cautious optimism heading into next season. Thought Cantwell was an absolute joy to watch - just an injection of quality into that team married with an endeavor to cover every blade of grass.

Good to hear Andy after a win , he’s earned it with all his positivity

Sandy

‘Tiger’ Cantwell…. I like that Andy!

I think everyone forgets Sakala mainly plays on the left for Zambia and in Belgium too. I feel he’s more comfortable on that side. But until now Kent got the nod.

The thing about the win and beale is that had we not won on Saturday the narrative before the next old firm would " will it be 6 after this game " and it will probably come right in the middle of Champions lge qualification

Re Andy’s point about being happy with the board, and now we are seeing changes we are happy with them. For me we had bad everything for so long that when we got “good” it was so nice that it’s taken us too long to question if good was good enough. Now we are being more ruthless it’s going to get us back to challenging quality on and off the park properly again. Well done to all those who got us here, but thanks and goodbye

Davie, any sign of the Cropod making a reappearance?

Glad you addressed the meaningless game thing, as I have said there is no meaningless games vs them. We can’t say if it was tiddlywinks vs them we’d want to win then say it’s a nothing game. It’s a bloody nose for them, it prove they have no depth and rely on 2/3 players like we have and that’s a dangerous position to be in imo. Yes they will strengthen but so will we. I know first hand that they fear losing the the jap and ccv. Ultimately time will tell who will get it right in the summer, come the end of the first cycle of games we’ll know.

Thoughts on Hodgson or Warnock in as a DOF or supporting cast role? We need that sort of grit in the club. Heard Warnock has a house around Greenock bay.

I think Beale it the nail on the head, when he talked about margins in these games. We have been missing those winning margins, whereas they haven’t. That’s not an excuse, just a perfect summation of who Beale was working with since since December. The changes we have made are not pen pushers, they are the framework of the decision making. That has been changed, and will continue to be changed. What those changes have done is fill the club with a fresh energy again, which will only continue if it’s filled with better replacements and if they deliver better results. Beal we was part of those changes, and his decisions on players he wants will decide if he’s a success or not. And y is right that we’ve not had fate on our side regarding injuries, but w Evan;t hide the fact poor decisions were made at all levels that resulted in failure. Barring a miracle, they are going to pick up another treble.

Finally on Yilmaz and more specifically Souttar some positivity. Felt like I was the only guy who could spot that he is a player. If he remains fit, he will oust Goldson.

I’ve been as reactionary as the next fan through the season but looking at the league season with a bit of perspective bar a brain fart from Ryan Jack at New year we would have beaten them and would be honours even in the league. 4-0 was on Gio giving them all the space they wanted. On the whole I think Beale has shown he can outwit Ange tactically but trying to do that without a striker within a malfunctioning front three was always going to be tough. Cautious optimism for next season, playing a goalie who can come of his line will push us 20yards up the pitch as it did on Saturday, cantwell showing that sort of leadership on the pitch we have sorely lacked, raskin and cantwell relationship can only get better and then adding quality up front should make a massive difference. We know they will do more of the same next season but they are not untouchable in the way I believed Brendan Rogers side was.

Thanks for the pod David & Andy Sage of Saltcoats. Plenty of good discussion and points raised there lads.

I feel like a lot of the negativity sorrounding Yilmaz and Souttar in particular is fans just blindly buying into the anti-Wilson agenda of the last few months and lashing out in all directions. I wouldn't be surprised in 12 months time if the summer window last year is re-evaluated.

Did we not take the lead when Aaron Ramsey scored and and then we blew it?
