Do we have any H&H listeners that follow the MLB?

Paul Lucas

I’ve lived in California for 25 years and still can’t watch basketball…..WTF is this doing on heart and hand?

Paul Lucas

Go Dodgers. Baseball is a magnificent game. Might not be a spectacle but it’s strategic as fuck and a great night out. Better viewing on TV though, especially if you’ve shite eye sight.

Ian Milne

You get that many balls hitting the basket all game that you don’t really celebrate each one. NFL has the celebrations when you a touchdown, NHL you can celebrate when you score goal and MLB going mental when your team scores a home run. The NBA has a great history though and has created some great legends.

Ross Adair

For sure Ian, used to go see the A’s and Giants in my Bay Area days. Now get to a few Rockies games a year. They’re dugmeat rn though 😅 Bit of a grind, so just keep an loose eye on the regular season. Love when the playoffs come around, it’s like a whole ‘nother sport. We usually do a World Series show

Ross Adair

It’s just a niche pod Paul, been doing it for years 😅 There’s a few baseball shows in the archives

Ross Adair

Yeah the NBA is awesome! As I said on the pod, always been more of an NFL and MLB guy but got more and more into 🏀 the last few years. Like most sports, you enjoy it more when you start to understand the rules, tactics and that

Ian Milne

When it’s comes to October November I’d love to talk about the World Series. Last season playoffs were class.

Ian Milne

If you’re thinking about doing an MLB show soon I’d definitely be up for taking part. Could tell you everything about the Yanks this season and would be able to speak about MLB in general. Could even come up with fantasy our AL v NL All Star Games teams on the show.

Pete

Great to see this pod back! Love a bit of US sports

Andrew Lees

Great show guys. Been listening to Bill Simmons on The Ringer going through the play offs and while you do pick it up, the show caters for a US audience so the jargon isn't always easy to follow. Your take on things was brilliant and accessible plus its always good to a Celtic(s) side get humped in any sport

Ross Adair

Thanks mate! Nice to hear that. And most of all agree on your last point 😅

Graeme Price

Yeah well am a fan of ALL Boston teams being a native, and one of them I have to be a bit more quiet about but the jersey my father wore and all that. I knew the Cs were done at three games down and historic comeback it may be, still another season falling short and the wrong headlines dominating half the season. At least the Lakers got swept! Go Redsox.

Graeme Price

Saw the Nuggets here against the Warriors for my son's first NBA game at the posh AF Chase arena during preseason. They dominated from the start, clearly taking it seriously and the Warriors woke up too late to the fact they were in a game. I enjoyed it and thought the Nuggets were a team to be taken seriously. I called them getting to the Finals over a month ago. Plus the two NBA games ever been to both involved the Nuggets, I used to live there and of course Beat the Heat!

Ross Adair

Well at least we can agree on about half of that GP 😅 Hope you’re well mate

Ross Adair

No, not going this year buddy. Spent the budget on a family trip to Glasgow for 3 weeks in July. Will def be in New York in ‘24 though 💫
