RANGERS can today confirm the departure of Antonio Colak to Parma for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance

Comments

Ross

All the best big man, best for all parties but does this move open the door to bring Danilo in?

Doug Young

Aw, shame. He was on fire until injury and manager change. All the best.

Rona Bluebell

Good piece of business. All coming along well so far.

Alek K

Huge call by Beale, hopefully it comes off for him. All the best to Antonio.

Scott Tolmie

Great bit of business, very likeable guy but just doesn’t have the legs, incredible finisher

Ewan Christie

Leaves the #9 jersey vacant for a certain Brazilian striker?

John Smith

Farewell Goalak 👋 I’ll never forget you 😢

Mr J K Murray

good blessings to now parma ham tony, thought he was a bit discovery' channel in tracking back in games but could have been the non winning players around him, actualy a good move for him all considered,

Spoon

Think it’s a mistake personally as natural strikers should be built around and to give one upkeep this seems madness. Big call from manager, needs to hope his business comes off and whoever he gets in hits the ground running. Wish Colak all the best as his record speaks for itself.

Hoggy

Good luck to the big man. Truth is he doesn’t fit the team and the style of play. Cracking 6 yard box striker but all round play is lacking. Lovely big guy and I wish him every single success.

Gregg

Would have been easy for Beale to keep him - hopefully we can get a few more out the door and re-cycle the cash

Douglas Innes

Not so ling ago we were paying players off to leave , good to see this kinda Rangers

Martin Davies

He was essentially brought in as 3rd choice behind Morelos and Roofe, and made a greater contribution than I'd have expected - unlike the other 2. He has his limitations as a player and best for both parties to move on. A good deal for us and a good move for Antonio. I wish him all the best.

Nicky Cuzin

Good luck Antonio and thank you! I don’t think any of the signings made so far will beat his scoring record. Not sure where we’re going in terms of attack, though. Hopefully Danilo to come and score loads

Brian Rae

A model pro and good guy, I can't help but feel that he's a player that was worth keeping. Though, in his comments today, the manager has aludded to the player maybe wanting to move on. He should go with all of our best wishes as he has earned the club a fortune with his goals.

All the best to the big fella

On the assumption that roofe will be out most of the season(just being realistic here) we have, am I right, sima and dessers as strikers? So we have 3 strikers but realistically 2. I think selling colak is such a bold move. Personally he is tried and tested we know he is a 6 yard box finisher but we know he can score goals if provided with the service . surely better to keep someone we know who can put the ball in the net? He may not have all round play but would 100% contribute . I'm hoping we bring in another striker as roofe is like wet paper tissue. I'm also hoping that this third striker can get as many goals as Tony . Time will tell

Douglas Hannah

Wish big man all the best, as has already been said, he was too one dimensional and dosent suit style the manager wants team to play, hopefully another few to follow him out the door, get the deal done for Danilo and Cifuentes.

Spoon

100% agree, the rhetoric around what he can’t do is baseless and any manager who can’t find a place for a proven goalscorer needs to have a cracking alternative plan. We never saw what he could do as he didn’t get the run yet some people are incredibly invested in under performers like Morelos or Roofe. Parma aren’t mugs and I’m sure he will do well there, wish the big man all the best. The manager absolutely gets to choose his the type of player and system he wants to as it’s his job on the line but can’t help reel the narrative around Colak is mental, a goal every two games in an injury hit seasons where the team underperformed…..only our right back scoring more yet he’s a bad fit, don’t see that logic.
