After a disappointing start to the league campaign Rangers welcome the Swiss team Servette to Ibrox for the first leg of this Champions League qualifier.

The Swiss side defied the odds getting past Genk in the last round and will be hoping for another upset in Govan.

Alex, Kev and Stuart provide the preview.

John Smith

Keigo Tsunemoto being injured is a massive loss for Servette

Steff Clarke

You've spelled it serviette, is this the first time we've faced a moistened towelette in European competition?

Scotty

Serviette? Let’s hope we put them in the bin when we’re done 🤣

John Smith

I’d like to see Sterling, Danillo and Cifuentes all start

Bob MacCallum

Gus D'Amato was famous boxing trainer for Heavyweights. Can't remember but maybe for Joe Frazier or suchlike.

Mr J K Murray

Philippe Sylvain Senderos began his career at Genf' Servette, hic, kind of reminds me where we are, then 2016 & now 2023-24, there website is not in English, is ours world language friendly as we have to play as a euro team ect, with MB, more I think about the worse start you could actually get, being choked by a royal flush, why put yourself under such pressure,is he looking for a way out already, cannot coment on the CL priors as a teams' we have been absolutely mush, we look unfit, devoid of intel, its plain visual, big pressure here now la, will it change, the weather does

Gregg

He was Mike Tyson’s coach - he went off the rails when he died - he took him in when he was a young delinquent

Bob MacCallum

Ta, Gregg. I'm an old codger so I now remember him more for being Floyd Patterson's coach in the early 60s when Liston took his heavyweight crown.

Gary Staff

Brilliant as ever lads Kev he’s gone mate let him go 😀

Douglas Innes

Wasn't FBK Kaunus Vs Rangers live on BBC Scotland when we f**ked it up in the last couple of minutes ? Beale has to start with Danilo supported by Sima Lammers Cantwell with Raskin & Jack ......

Iain Campbell

What was Lundstram actually doing at the goal, the man gets the complete wrong side of him and makes a half arsed attempt at a challenge. I honestly will despair if he starts tomorrow night

Fraser Ritchie

Great point about the friendliest. Surely should have played a much weaker team, league 1 in England or something! Brand new team, woulda gave us some confidence and got some of the new boys a goal or 2

GM

All I can hear when BBC and Rangers European games are mentioned is Paul Mitchell’s nasally voice, generally after we’ve conceded an absolute screamer. Kaunas, Hapoel maybe, Panathinaikos…

Spoon

Bemused by the comments from Beale that these were top teams tbh, we didn’t take on Barca or Man City they were decent teams as but no more. I do agree on taking on even lower level opposition to work on shape, cohesion and confidence though that just makes sense.

Rod Murray

Is the game on RTV for those of us outside the UK?

David Innes

You guys are more optimistic than me about tonight - i’m certain we’ll concede at least one and just don’t see where our goals are going to come from. The more I think about it given that we knew we going to lose Kent and Morelos the decision to also let Arfield, Colak and Sakala leave feels like a reckless gamble.

Russ

Think so mate aye, it's what they've advertised on the official Twitter (X) account at least.

WILLIAM JACK

Just to add my tuppenceworth to the feedback. I forgot to write last week and don't know if that makes me part of a silent minority/majority or just a random data point but I really liked the established format for the Preview with the previous game review, then the preview followed by Stevie's 5 questions. I will keep listening but found the new format a little bit looser and less clear to follow. Whether that's getting used to a new format or the format being tweaked and inevitable growing pains I don't know. What I do know is that I'll keep listening because we don't get this kind of actual content and range of views from BBC Scotland and the MSM. Imagine having Todd Cantwell up for interview and asking stuff like 'whos' the worst dressed in the squad?' as did undersized-suit-botherer Steven 'Thommo' Thompson the other day, FFS.
