Content

Alan covers two of the greatest European victories for Gers in Ibrox stadium, absolutely brilliant performances within that famous "Ibrox under the lights" atmosphere.  Also a fantastic Old Firm win on the road to 9 in a row.

As ever, news, movies, birthdays and excellent music from each of the years too.

Only had time for a small bit this morning but the first chart was spot on , a few pennies in my pocket all the time in the World. That Juventus game was fantastic standing in the Broomloan rd end.

Steve Clark

Nine of the Italian 78 World Cup team played for juventus,so not only did we beat juventus we beat the Italian national team at the same time.I watched the highlights without knowing what the score was which added to the excitement

David Baillie

Up to the usual high standards Alan. The Juventus game was one of my great Ibrox nights against a truly world class team. How did you manage to calm Soup down after that?🤨😂

Kev Roberts

I only got 1996 Good listen

Andy Sladen

Great listen again Alan. 2 songs and 2 years for me. Fair play switching cockney rejects for sham 69 - a great substitute! I was pushing it a bit with them to be fair. Icicle works brought back memories of my student years in Sheffield mid 80’s. Wasn’t into heavy rock but paranoid is different gravy. Any chance of playing anything by echo and the bunnymen?

William Hughes

My Dad took me to a wet, muddy Ibrox in the Centenary Stand for the Juventus game. Remember the roar under the lights and the all Blue kit. Brilliant.

David Best

Another cracking show mate and Kiev was just magical. Still get shivers thinking about the atmosphere that night. Amazing to hear the team that won for us - with Mcgregor, Cohen and Kirkwood! Still only got one right so evidently not that inspired……

Always loved the blue kit in those European nights. Bayern Munich in particular, just magical.

I felt the news was a bit incomplete for 1978 Not up to your usual research standards What a time to be alive Alan , winter 1978 we are one of the favourites for the European cup (and legitimately so). Treble I think we were dreaming of quadruples

Definitely a great time to be Alive. Agree re our chance of Euro success that season. Also forgot to mention big Greig’s tactics v Juve and Sandy at sweeper with wee Calimero on the left. Apologies on drop in research quality. My pal over in Athens used to help me with that dimension, but he’s discarded me like an old oilly rag these days.

Who didn't have a blonde poster on their bedroom wall ? Good stuff once again .

Derek Murray

3 out of 3 - easy peasy! Blondie or Sheryl crow ? Hmmmm think I would controversially allow shezza to make me happy 😃 Excellent show Alan and thanks for the Adventurers blast from the past … Check out Jason and the scorchers and see what you think 💫
