Jim Lamb

I missed yesterdays pod, what happened?

Gary Gibson

Sorry you felt you had to. We’re all suffering and want the same thing. We may have differing views and that’s fine, but is shouldn’t end in abuse. You guys have helped me through a real dark period of my life and I’d hate for good guys to chuck it as a result. We’re lucky to have this community, and that should be remembered. Always.

Steve Stewart

H&H is my therapy but whoever asked for that to be reposted is for watching 😉 If we all had the same viewpoints life would be boring - you’re still wrong though Alex 😀

Martin Sutherland

Glad it’s back guy. Looking forward to listening

Robert Deavy

The correct decision!! I listened to the pod and the guys were not papering over the abject display. They gave honest opinions and their thoughts on what they were watching and what was happening in the stands.

Rona Bluebell

Thank you for posting. Haven’t listened yet so will do so today. Strange folks not understanding that opinions are just that and have zero influence on what happens on the pitch 🤨

David

Class. Well done lads.

Jacqueline Mathers

I listened to the car pod yesterday and thought it was fab- everyone sharing their views , the way it should be Keep up the great work and well done for kicking out those not worthy of being part of this community

Alan Weir

Rangers supporting fruitcakes: take your bile elsewhere or set up your own wee online echo chamber.

Stephen A

Have no idea what the nonsense is about but going to take a punt on strider coping it for talking drivel? 🤣 Only joking. Love the car pods. Sometimes you need a bit of balance to keep you thinking. Not sure yesterday was that time. 😕

Alan Weir

Some people had different opinions and we have some in our support that can’t handle that.

Jamie

Abuse is wrong. In saying that, I think in future I’ll give this pod a miss, which is a shame because I enjoy 99% of the contributors. I just find it extremely hard to listen to certain podders who it seems like are watching a different game to the vast majority of us (the ratio would have pointed that out). I think it borders on misleading the audience. In saying that - any abuse is wrong and I admire that David is willing to take a financial loss in order to maintain a more respectful community for Rangers fans.

Allan Osborne

Good! I very much disagree with Alex's viewpoint but he's entitled to it and should be allowed to voice it. If you disagree then by all means say so but there's no place for personal abuse. Leave that to FF. I'd miss the Car Pod if it was stopped.

William Mcdonald

Hope you've banned them all. Podders should never be the brunt of any frustration with the team. Abuse not tolerated

Craig Fryatt

I could disagree with anything the lads said. If people want to behave like that then there are many wonderful Facebook groups

Nikky Cairney

Nothing changes until the manager goes. We will win games and drop points. But my god we are terrible to watch and I don’t understand why we seem to accept it because “it’s all about the 3 points”. Beale has got lucky that after the international break he’s got a lot of home games that we will probably win and it won’t have a lot to do with him. But even yesterday we nearly dropped points. It’s coming soon. The stands were empty towards the end and the booing was just. Genuinely don’t enjoy watching us play at all. I do not believe all these players are as bad as they are showing. A new manager has to get better out of them.

Steve Clark

I come on here to get away from the madness on FF.as we can all disagree but do it respectfully.we all see things differently and the pod reflects that.

stuamaclean-rednblackscarf

It’s all about opinions. Haven’t read the comment etc but anyone having a go needs to have a look at themselves. The car pod is excellent as it’s a great view of how genuine fans are feeling right after the match, you don’t get that anywhere. I for one always find myself agreeing with certain aspects of each podders views and enjoy getting a different view from my own. From yesterdays pod Im in agreement with Alex. Is it good? No. But the managers hand were tied to a certain aspect , which were completely backed up in the presser afterwards. We need to try an galvanise us all together, it’s the only way to get success

Heart and Hand

A couple banned, a few warned. The bannings had been warned before. It's very very rare we have to but a couple had been targeting a podder rather than simply not listening to his shows.

Douglas Innes

We all need an " Alex " in a sense when we view the game something is mentioned by someone else that makes you think about your own opinion and how it may be skewed for whatever reason ........ abuse is no no just because someone disagrees, if you disagree debate the point

Spoon

Unacceptable treatment of the podders, the curtailing of conflicting views or opinions is a rocky road. Nobody with any sense wants an echo chamber, honest views and healthy debate is what makes the platform here.

Jeb

Thanks David. Disgusting behaviour from some who should know better. Rangers fans should be a family.

William Hughes

VAR (Very Angry Reaction) decision overturned. Imagine if we didn't win yesterday?

Stegz

Good decision David. I’m sure the podders stand by what they said - let’s remember they are responding in the immediate aftermath and without having had a chance to watch back. I disagreed with Strider after the OF game and I didn’t agree with him completely after this one but so what? I don’t listen to hear my own opinions. I actually picture Kev on one shoulder and Strider on the other these days!

Charlie Nicolson

Having listened yesterday, I found myself agreeing with a lot of what was said in the early part.

Gary Shaw

Challenge the argument not the person…I don’t agree with a lot on here but we all want the same thing and everyone is frustrated…

Tom McDavid

Didn’t think the pod was unfair at all. Measured criticism of the manager & performance. Don’t see the issue. Rather have that than a rabble ranting and wanting to burn everything down.

Colin Gardner

We can disagree within the realms of a healthy debate. I've noticed recently not only on here but other forums the abuse is off the scale. Maybe people should take up another hobby if it triggers you that much.Glad I never saw the posts last night although I did disagree with Alex.

Derek Rennie

I disagreed with Alex, in fact I was a little baffled by his stance, but being a Rangers fan he should be allowed to voice his opinion without personal abuse. That's a real poor show and I'm glad that people abusing him have been banned.

Ian Irvine

I have views, wouldn’t argue with people on here about them though. I’ve not been in the bear pit since the game yesterday, bet you it’s mental in there!! 👀

Allan I Smith

Alex makes this pod for me, and it is one of my favorites on the network. The whole point of it is to bring the unfiltered emotion and opinion straight after the game. Keep up the great work!

Stegz

Agreed. Like I said above I don’t need to hear my own opinions shouted back at me. You can still conclude the manager is out of his depth but you still need to hear the defence before arriving at a judgement.

Gordon

i always enjoy the car pod after the matches, dont understand the need for abuse, always find the car pod insightful and enjoyable, even when theres not really much to say about a match i pick up good points made by the podders.

Mark Ronaldson

I agreed with Alex. Was a well thought out answer. Love the car pod, the guys do an amazing job. Love the different opinions on it, doesn't matter if I don't agree with someone's. Keep up the good work.

Jock Paterson

I don’t see how anyone can take exception to what AS said in the pod? He has a great ability to remove emotion from his thoughts and present a considered view. That said, there is clearly a problem and Beale needs to find an answer soon or vacate his desk. I personally think Beale is overthinking formations and roles and is passing confusion onto the players. He needs to calm down and get back to basics.

Derek Watt

Every opinion is valid as that’s all it is. Some people have a positive outlook on life I’m general and that permeates a lot of their overall thinking and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Thomas scroggie

People need to get a grip everyone has a different opinion doesn’t give other people the right to be nasty just opinions at the end of the day

Steve23

Listened on a long drive home last night. Good debate and it’s healthy when the podders hold differing opinions, didn’t stop both getting their point across though and that’s a good thing. I disagreed with Alex at the start but by the end of the pod he changed my mind. Great pod lads, keep up the good work.

Dougie

Doesn’t matter how annoyed I get, Striders calm way always helps come the end of a Car Pod! I sincerely hope this won’t put him or others off🤞🏻👍🏻👏 H&H is second to none for content! Long may that continue 🔴⚪️🔵

Brian Rae

Disagreements are fine but there's no need for any of the abuse. We all have opinions that others won't agree with, even if they are ultimately mental. For instance, I was for giving Pedro more time and prior to Warburton, wanted Tommy Wright as manager. In my defence, it was a dark time. 😩

Doug

Given the events are factual and the rest is opinion, I'm genuinely interested in specifically what you consider was "misleading" the audience?

Doug

A good pod, glad I was able to get to hear it. I think the point about injuries is a solid one. We're struggling to find form and cohesion and that isn't going to be helped by injuries forcing the team to constantly change even more. Games like these are all about perspective. If we go on to win the title, this will become ones of those 'champions always grind out a result even when playing badly' games. As it is, its simply a part of the current struggle of a team failing to find its feet. Small steps though. We need to just keep on pushing forward, getting the 3 points and hopefully by the turn of the year a trophy. The rest will come as long as we keep winning.

Ross F

I need strider to keep me from losing the head. His measured viewpoint brings you back down to earth. That’s not to say I always agree with him. I wasn’t on here yesterday but Davie’s previous post is disappointing.

John Smith

Really appreciate this. Don’t want this community to be infested with 🍩 s who want to attack podders for expressing a point of view

Heart and Hand

All that happens otherwise is people come on and say nothing, carefully and boringly, to avoid offending anyone. And that’d be pointless!

Joe Burns

Thanks for re-loading. The car pod is essential listening after a game. More power to Colin, Strider et al.

George Harrison

When you listen to Alex, you know what you’re going to get, so don’t listen to it if it upsets you that much. It’s one of my favourite pods, and Alex would be a big miss if he wasn’t on it.

Bill’s truth

Totally agree, H&H helped me through difficult times. We don’t turn on each other, that’s what the other lot do. Respect each others views folks.

Tamus

Question for Alex if Sima and Roofe aren't fit to come on, why are they not fit. The lack of general fitness in our team is disgraceful

Jimmy Price

If you don’t like a pod or podder, don’t listen. It’s that simple. You’re not obligated or obliged to do so. I pay 2 quid a month for fantastic Gers related content, an absolute bargain. I don’t always agree with points made, but there’s a way to disagree with folk. Abuse is never acceptable! If you’re incapable of acting in a decent manner then take it elsewhere. I look forward to listening and disagreeing in the future... respectfully. Keep up the fantastic work guys.

Steven Robertson

You know what Alex is going to say before you listen, it was obvious what his stance was going to be so are people listening just to make themselves angrier & blame him?? He's right with formation, that was about our only option but how we played was unacceptable. Everyone of our players would be a star player for motherwell, we should've totally controlled that game, especially with that formation. Beales hands were tied with who played but if that team was well coached they would've strolled through that match.

Colin Gardner

Utterly bonkers that place. Your mental health will be better for it out of that place.

Billy Forrester

Well done lads, a disappointing day for everyone yesterday and that’s after a win, however, people’s opinions should be respected and no one should ever suffer abuse for giving that opinion. We all have different views on matches and see things differently and that’s fine, I always loved the intelligence and the knowledge on this site from the podders who are all different but excellent in their own ways to the subscribers who are balanced and don’t moon howl, not much anyway. I rarely look at or comment on sites such as The official Club insta or FB as it is full of absolute idiots who most couldn’t tell u the way to Ibrox, this site is different and gives balanced views. Let’s keep the pod that way troops 💪💙

Alexander Bruce Crombie

Alex reminds me of my dad when I would argue this players crap, that 1 shouldn’t be playing and he would calmly say you don’t see what the manager has seen in training etc etc. It annoyed me 20 year ago and it annoys me now with Alex but fair play, it’s his opinion. At least it’s consistent.

Alan Kirker

I am as disgruntled as everyone else is but yesterday I could see where Alex was coming from and was thinking the same thing during the game when we switched to the 3-5-2. I do however think there is a lack of quality and that is the managers fault.

Colin Gardner

Jamie remember these guys are just out the match. Emotions all over the shop and then try and dissect the match while giving their opinion. From what I've listened too nothing was misleading. The only thing I disagreed with was a wins a win and its 3 points. Only so many times we can accept that but overall a fair reflection of the performance and the game.

Jamie

I was talking about the Old Firm pod specifically. I made a similar comment on the old thread but the post got deleted so it was more in regard to that. But excuses for the performance being so poor also come under misleading the audience you could say.

Martin Davies

I often disagree with the views on the pods but it's important to hear opposing arguments or else it becomes an echo chamber. Keep up the good work guys.

Mike Sim

Click bait shite - bloody repeat from yesterday 🤣

David Rorrison

See if we all agreed, life would be boring. But you can disagree without being abusive, especially to fellow bears. I honestly believe that supporting Rangers isn’t for everyone and the “never back down, double down” mentality that social media has created, has only affirmed that belief. I’d prefer podders having honest opinions than opinions being influenced by what some listeners want to hear.

Jim Milne

I'll reiterate what a few have already said. I listen to 99% of the pods posted. This entire pod and group of people helped me get through some dark periods in my life. I got mates that have the entire opposite opinion from me in every aspect of life but they are the salt of the earth. I was outside yesterday and due to an issue with my phone the pod repeated itself when it was almost done so I listened to it twice. They're were a couple opinions I didn't agree with but I still listened. They're are comments every podder makes I don't always agree with but such is life. I hope the guys from the carpod read the comments today and continue to record. This pod is one of my favourites. I know life is stressful for many right now with the cost of living, etc and many are on edge before football, but IMO there is to many people drunk after the game and should either unsubscribe or put the phone down until they are sober. Keep up the great work.

David P

I want to start by saying that I myself have suffered abuse online because of my opinion or how I feel about my club at a particular point in time. I have been called both a happy clapper and a negative moron with nothing good to say about the club. I get it, when people are angry and frustrated they lash out. No one should be attacked on a personal basis because of their opinion on football. I'm all for rational debate even if sometimes it can get a bit heated. As long as you stick to the point and don't resort to name calling. Which brings me to a word of advice for Strider. I've listened to the pod for years and there has been occasions where the big man has described fans that hold a differing opinion to him as "morons" "idiots" and "mental". Which I think is an Ill advised approach. It also lends itself to the idea of condescension and an overwhelming arrogance that his opinion is the correct opinion. It also annoys the hell out of me this idea that one opinion is "level headed". I see all the facts in front of me and have come to a different conclusion. It's lazy to dismiss someone's opinion as emotional. Even if there is emotion in it so what? Take emotion out of football and none of us would be here. I found it incredible to read that the site now has 50 contributors. I remember when it was just David and Scott talking about German porn and some Italian guy called Gigi 😊

Making Strides

I only just watched Beale's press conference and he mentions both had niggles. I just felt that if either was fit enough for an hour, we'd have used them that way.

David P

As for Beale I think I'm going to have to take a step back in engaging online until the situation is resolved. I can't be arsed dealing with the toxicity this debate online brings. There will always be supporters that back every manager long past the point where it's a viable course of action. Imo we all can see what we're watching and we all know how this ends. Yesterday was a gutless, uninspiring and downright cowardly performance that was masked only by the fact that we held on for a 1-0 win off a lucky deflection.

Jamie

The usual FF match thread fundamentals- so sick of it H&H family do an amazing job and pleased to be handing my cash over to real fans

Jamie

Completely agree with you mate- life isn’t rosy this year but the H&H content keeps me smiling

Alan

If you want a different perspective to yours I know a guy called Jonesy that’s quite upbeat and reasonable you could talk to

Jamie Gourlay

If every podder had the same opinion then it would be boring to listen to. You agree with some views and disagree with others. That's life. Personal abuse is very unnecessary.

Jamie Gourlay

You must have been getting some personal abuse with that name over the last few years 😄😀

Tamus

I dont think we can assume anything with this absolute crackpot delboy, we have at the helm, he'd be out of his depth in a puddle

stefan strzelecki

I agree with Alex. Fans don’t need to interpret the tactics. The players on the other hand need to. On Beale , my view is that he is our manager , trying his level best every day. With injuries , important season defining games to come , including the old firm game before transfer window, I don’t think we can obtain a better manager. When the people in the control of the club , inform that he is gone. I will look at alternatives. Until then Michael Beale is one of our own, we don’t marginalise the Rangers manager . Unconditional support could help the club , players, and management more than anything. I’m actually depressed at the willingness to banish the man from the club. We have no divine right to win , it’s a process for us to get a title winning team. That is the cold economic fact of Rangers today.

Tom Leitch

I had a feeling it’d be Alex who’d be getting it. I guess having the answers before somebody gets to ask them is too much for them. Easy for me to say because I agreed with every word.

Richard Donaldson

I actually disagree to an extent. Whilst the support don't need to know the detail, we should at least be able to see a style or identity when we are watching. Neither of these has been evident since the very first pre season game. A completely disjointed set up with the manager clutching at straws each and every game. We have too many player playing out of position. That's all on MB.

Mark

Je suis Strider!

Vanb bryceter

I also agreed with strider, however ive got to say that is up there with one of the most abject performances ive witnessed in over 50 years of being a supporter.

David Tod

Didn’t agree with Alex about the Celtic game but did agree with him about Motherwell so go figure. Support him 100% .

Vanb bryceter

See for everyone wanting Beale out a wee question. What would a new manager do right here right now with what is available . Im not excusing what has gone on since the start of the season. However it takes time to put together a new group and Beale has been hampered by a continuos break in continuity due to injuries.

Ben Laing

Ridiculous you had to take this down. I, for one, was pleased to listen to a more positive perspective from the other day - this community should always be a safe space for various viewpoints to be aired. Some people within our fanbase need to seriously look at themselves, sadly I fear this is a wider societal issue. Pleased to see you re-uploaded!

David A

The Alex Staff perspective is the best thing on Heart and Hand

LD

I very rarely listen when we have a poor performance because I'm either going to disagree and my mood gets worse or agree and my mood gets worse. Balanced out by when we have a good performance (they do happen) everything sounds brilliant 😁

8luenose1872

Zander u must have been the only rangers fan in the ground that thought Motherwell weren't gonna score tbh ha ha.

8luenose1872

I don't agree with Alex about roofe and sima though, I think he was prioritising the cup game but an emergency happened during the game so one of them should have come on, probably sima for a straight swap. The manager got lucky coz I think that formation change totally brought well onto us, we had alot more control first half without being great I know but 2nd half was dreadful, probably the worst half of football all season and that's saying alot. Just my opinion though.

Kev Roberts

Sorry to hear about the abuse Keep up the great work WATP No surrender 🇬🇧

Rona Bluebell

Listened to the pod now. Pretty straightforward discussion so clearly the small reaction is projection and zero substance. Not sure about watching LOTR trilogy back to back. Ooft.

Tommy

Thank god for some perspective, especially after watching that yesterday haha. For what it's worth fellas, I enjoy the show and often listen to it the next day and it's always refreshing to hear different opinions, keep it up and well played for being honest

Steven Robertson

Regardless of injuries we had a better player in every single position than motherwell did, unless there's any you would swap? However our team looked like a bunch of guys who had just met & decided to play an 11 a side against an actual team who play & train together. A new manager could make them look like they actually know what they're doing. He very clearly doesn't get the best out of what he's got.

Graeme McLeod

Managers and players have no "divine right" to "unconditional support." And if everyone just politely applauded then the board would take that as a sign that everyone is happy with the status quo. The mental gymnastics and excuses for Michael Beale genuinely baffles me. It's went from "no man is bigger than the club" to "let's show unconditional support - we have no right to expect success." Michael Beale is not "one of our own." He's not some beloved player from years gone by; could understand the blinkers some have if he was. He was the assistant of a management team that largely underachieved, was struggling at QPR and then publicly angled for the Rangers job when Gio was still in the dugout. The man hasn't earned this "unconditional support" that you think we owe him.

Gazza_Hendo

Abusing your own is beyond stupid and more typical of the unwashed. People are angry but don’t take it out on others just because they have a different opinion/take on things. Personally the H&H podcasts are a big part of my life and think we should appreciate the content the guys are providing . A bit of balance to the hysteria is a good thing imo. Hope it doesn’t put anyone off podding.

maccalsa

It's pretty simple if you disagree, attack the opinion, not the person

WILLIAM JACK

Staff Snr is one of the better podders and I really like his fact and evidence based approach to analysis. I hope those who were giving him grief have learned their lesson in getting banned. It is possible to disagree with an opinion without wanting to burn the internet down.

Stephen

I have never got angry with any podders opinion on anything. If someone on here thinks Beale should get sacked or shouldn’t get sacked it makes very little difference to what the actual outcome will be. It’s good to hear both sides of the argument then make up your own mind. People need to take a step back when they are angry though.

Russ

Aye, I've let it breathe for a couple of days. Couldn't face the online Rangers community after that game, I'm sure it's bad in other fanbases but the paranoia and seethe can get toxic in ours pretty quick. Love our sense of humour but the vitriol - nah not for me. Suppose it's 2 cheeks of the same arse, you get the gallows humour in amongst the doom and gloom.

stefan strzelecki

No problem Graeme., your opinion matters, just as mine does too. My unconditional support is to the actual title of Rangers manager. This job comes with a pressure like no other , whoever is privileged enough to manage my club. Will get my full support throughout the tenure of his time. That’s a 100% guarantee . The board are the ones who hire and fire , I don’t think it’s helpful for supporters to delude themselves that they have a full enough inspection of a managers mettle , to warrant an orchestrated vendetta against a Rangers manager. It is also downright unsavoury to my mind . In my opinion it besmirches , the lesson good men like struth, Wallace, and Walter Smith tell us about keeping things in house, with a conservative counsel. I trust Bennett to recognise when change is required. That is why he leads the club. It doesn’t mean people can’t be concerned , I just refuse to join the populist circus of self harm.

Andy Forgrieve

Hopefully Alex takes it all with a pinch of salt. I for one really appreciate his take on the game after the final whistle, at a time when emotions run high. All the car podders do a great job - varying opinions, which is exactly what we need in these days of echo chambers! Keep up the good work folks.

Ronnie Brown

Team Alex here, whether I agree with him or not.

Jonny Barrett

Glad it's been reposted. So everyone can hear what cheerleaders sound like. This is what glossing over the glaring obvious sounds like. The excuses of players mossing etc. Jeezo. The fans were offered steak by beale and served up aldi burgers. Wake up.
