Audio absolutely fine David 👍

John Smith

Audio good for me also 👍 always best to clamp down on agitators looking to stir the pot

Heart and Hand

It’s just the way I think some people think it’s done due to Twitter or whatever. Our rule on here is speak to someone like you’d speak to them in person.

Jamie W

The toxicity from some of the support right now would make you want to stay away as much as possible from Rangers news. There’s a problem with some in our support and I’m not sure why.

Ross Whitehead

Audio is perfectly fine, sounds as good as usual.

Gregg

Did you boo the band off? 😂😂 Big Andy is my favourite plodder too 😘

Jamie Gilchrist

Its because they feel they can hide behind alias’ on twitter and as a result, are simply not capable of measured, open discussion, sadly.

John Smith

I agree. It’s people with nothing better to do that want to cause an argument to give them some excitement in their otherwise boring lives

Martin Boyd

In my opinion it’s instant gratification problem, folk who have grown up with social media get their ideas / comments out there quick and get a lift from strangers agreeing and “ liking “ their comments. It’s probably not unique to Rangers but that’s what we see because that’s what we are interested in. As for the football it was interesting the creativity disappeared as soon as Lammers went off , I felt he was the only one trying to link and had an ok game. But agin that’s just my opinion I have no doubt others would disagree.

Stuart Borland

Jeez with some so called fans of our own who needs enemies eh. Absolutely ridiculous

Graeme Heaney

Agree andy my fav podder Saltcoats loyal. We need a daily Andy show to take our minds off this shit we’re watching. Every game this season including pre season games has been awful.

Leslie White

After seven decades of following Rangers, yesterdays performance has taken me back to the past dark days, where there was nothing of hope showing at the end of the tunnel. A consistent team selection would be good to build up at

Leslie White

a team spirit. ( for above pressed a wrong button)

Colin Mathie

Injuries DO NOT happen after every bloody game, which seems to be the case just now, something is going on, what has this dr that we re-signed been doing, its up to him, his team and Beale to fix it.

Jamie W

Even after our win against Betis I avoided social media, we’re not in a good place but does my wailing from the rooftops change a thing in the grand scheme of things. We won, we move on, yes it’s shitty but whatever!

Stewart Thomson

Funnily enough on the game yesterday, I felt very subdued as well, unusual for me with the game still in the balance . That 90 minutes just sucked the enthusiasm right out of me, to be honest i was fully expecting Motherwell to nick a point near the end (and should have). Personally my mind was made up on the manager after the Old Firm defeat, that's probably contributing to my ambivalence at the overall situation we find ourselves in. It's only a matter of time.

Stuart McWilliams

I'm not sure the blame lies with the doctor here. Danielo, Cantwell and Matondo are freak injuries from knocks. Lawrence was out for a year and it's fairly common for people to pick up injuries when they come back, but other injuries forced us to overplay him. If we hadn't played Lawrence against Betis because we were worried about an injury there would have been outrage. The bigger issue for me is that a lot of our rotation players have poor injury histories, and that's poor squad planning rather than being due to the medical staff.

Douglas Innes

Might be just me but id guess players will respond better to positive encouragement rather than negativity and as David rightfully says most of our influential/form attacking players are injured so a drop-off is understandable

Graham Leggate

Big Andy - the only universally popular podder Frame it!

Neil 55

No problem with the sound David. 👍

Andy

Should change the name to Heart and Andy

Andy

For McGowan, not me in case that wasn’t clear!

Jamie W

Let’s be honest Douglas. Who in any walk of like has responded better to negative encouragement as opposed to positive ones. It doesn’t happen. The negativity comes from those wanting to fill their void!

Pedro

Love the stuff you provide and well done to the pod guys who go on record when thyre frustrated themselves, I know it's the point but they do a good job. Keep up the good work, it is a fantastic network 👏

Hendi

Agree on Andy McGowan, best on here 😄 Taking the piss out podders and disagreeing in sound but personal abuse because is out of order. As for Alex, i don't agree with his recent takes, but fair play for sticking to his guns, inspite of the criticism, when the easy option would just be to say what people want to hear. He won't be alone is his views, saw plenty of fans clapping the team off yesterday (no idea why) so their perspective deserves to be heard as well.

Simon

The imaginary Yerda Selzavon would do a better job than Beale.

Stuart F

I would imagine they are clapping them off because they believe the issue is with the manager and his tactics. Regardless of how bad they played, the effort was there and it wasnt them who decided to finish a home game to motherwell with 5 defenders and 2 holding/defensive midfielders. Its also the manager who has installed this daft 'lap of honour' yet runs heads down the tunnel pretty quickly himself

Mr J K Murray

is it possible to get an image of all the sickies together in one shot shur, watching -air pilots sitting around awating the bell, or cowboys mulling cattles or shootin up a town -film,or something movie',hic,

HAM Slice

We've been top of the Ross Hall football league for a few seasons now

Brian Rae

Hi David, What's going on with John Bennett? He's not uttered a word since becoming chairman and is making his predecessor look like a master of communication. TBF, I slaughtered him last year for his patronising "best in class" comments, etc but still, We badly need leadership right now and there doesn't seem to be anyone standing up.

Jordan

The idea of Alex getting abuse is ludicrous. Big guy is a lovely chap who is inoffensive. People really need to separate a dislike of opinion to dislike of a person.

Spoon

I have been convinced for some time now that your optimism is not 100% natural David, I think you should come clean with the Patreons and just admit your cheery because of your use of PED’s (performance enhancing dugs).

Mr J K Murray

yis sir standing too, was attempted humour sir, is it believable that simon in hebrew means "listen" or "hearing",hic

Andy

Couldn't tell you what Beales plan is. No identity to this Rangers side whatsoever. Butland has saved Beale on more than one occasion already.

Ryan Stewart

Were we playing well before these injuries though? We’ve been garbage all season, even when we’ve had a full squad so I’m not sure that’s a valid excuse

Doug

"but other injuries forced us to overplay him." I don't think that's the case tbh. He could have played Lammers or Dessers as like for like replacements, or with some shuffling Wright or Jack. Plus Lawrence needed game time to get himself back up to speed. It's simply unlucky he's picked up a knock, but as you said yourself, not unusual for a player who has been out so long.

Tamus

I've been going regularly since 1980, this is the longest sustained run of turgid shite I've ever endured - it's worsened when you think of the money we shelled out on the likes of Cyril Dreadful and Sam Spanners, who must be up there with Fanny Jeffers and and Eagle Ostrichegg as clusterfuq signings. And cefuentes is almost as bad. I want Michael Caixhina out the door ASAP. If this rangers team was my dug it would be going to stay with the farmer tomorrow

Doug

"saw plenty of fans clapping the team off yesterday (no idea why)" 3pts. At the end of the day, regardless of how bad it gets that's what matters in the end and for some is the be all and end all. The thing about football is it can't be taken into full perspective until the season is over. This game could end up being 'part of the run that finished the manager' or it could be 'part of a run that proves champions find a way to pick up points even when playing poorly'. Such is the fickle nature of the football fan, we could play the rest of the season like this and fans will hate Beale up to the final minute... but if in that final minute it results in a league trophy, he'll be loved. Sure people will dissect the issues and hope for better next year, but there will be plenty of forgiveness to go round if he grabs silverware.

Gaz Pickering

Audio good.....but FFS.....don't come on here to abuse the people bringing us the content,I'm not happy hearing that.

David Gardner

Lennon Miller who played for Motherwell yesterday, is one of the best young players in the league just now. We need to be making a move for him in January in my opinion.

David Campbell

Anybody abusing people show they lack the skills to have a debate. I listen to these pods for therapy it doesn't matter the opinions of others. Keep up the good work.

@bluebeans

The named podder there is deffo a top podder with the preview amongst if not my very favourite pod. I don’t have the pleasure of knowing Alex but he comes across as being a top bloke, I don’t always agree with his takes on matters but I don’t tune in to hear the same views as my own and everyone agreeing. Chin up Alex, the very tiny minority (and that what they are) matter not a jot 🤝

adam houston

Aholes anyone that has a go at the podders should name in shame the keyboard warriors key up the good work podders

SJS

Alex one of my favs - preview show is great balance of views - no need for abuse especially of fellow bears - keep up the good work

Gary Shaw

Yesterday was a milestone for me,I’ve been off the drink for a really long time and I still didn’t get the urge to touch it after last night’s performance.

Graeme McLeod

It's not the doctor's fault though. The medical staff monitor and treat injuries - they're not responsible for training intensity or maintaining the players' fitness. Something that Gio seemed to have the blamed pinned on him for, and something that would apparently be different under Beale.

Gregg

In my experience - for my sins I’m in banking - it’s not the norm for a chairman or woman to communicate with shareholders (I kinda class all fans as shareholders in the weird world of football) outside of half year/ full year results/ AGM. It’s typically the CEO. Not sure if we were used to this under Murray and we still expect it.

Graeme McLeod

"Let’s be honest Douglas. Who in any walk of like has responded better to negative encouragement as opposed to positive ones." Me. When I was a child if I didn't want to try something I'd say "I cannae dae that," and my dad nicknamed me "Genghis Khanae Dae It." Had no idea what it meant, but I didn't like it and I'd do what was asked of me instead. (He still calls me Genghis.) In regards to the players though, the fans have a right to voice their discontent. The team have been turgid all season. I highly doubt the fans singing their praises would result in an upturn in performances.

Seumais Simpson

Definitely the case. That is one of the great things about this platform, everyone has an opinion and it's spoken about reasonably. I don't interact on Twitter anymore because it is a cesspit. Alex and his rational thinking winds folk up because he isn't screaming into the ether like the rest of us. That is why, in my opinion, he is an excellent member of the team. He makes me rethink my immediate frustrations and try to look at them from a different angle.

Graeme McLeod

"we could play the rest of the season like this and fans will hate Beale up to the final minute... but if in that final minute it results in a league trophy, he'll be loved." Yeah, but that'd involve this absolutely horrid football we're playing resulting in wins against Celtic and other big moments. So far in Beale's reign the opposite has been the case. And he's not setting the team out to be boring and stifle the opposition on the way to 1-0 or 2-0 wins. People could live with that if so. But there's no real style of play, no shape and we were hanging on against Motherwell at home. Won't criticise anyone who wants to applaud the team in general, but I think it's clear why many are no longer shrugging off poor performances with "a wins a win."

Graeme McLeod

Easier to leave Beale swinging in the wind rather than publicly back him and tie himself to Beale. Letting the manager take all the flack is right out the David Murray playbook. Not impressed.

Revan1872

If we are planning on spending money to update infrastructure the priority should be a quality sporting director to run the football department over stadium/training upgrades

John F

Sorry to hear about the abuse of big Alex. Please send him my support. I dont always agree with him but he speaks a lot of sense even when he gives a different take on things. A decent guy and seems very knowledgeable.

James Stewart

I love the car pod the way only time I turned if off was after the Celtic game but that was more because I was raging and nothing was helping 😂🤣😂

TBFI-Botswana

To hell with abusing podders - you guys rock 👍

Graeme Heaney

I’ve not listened car pod yet as I was steaming yesterday but big Alex is sound. I’ve listened enough car pods to know he gives a good account the game.

Steven Harvey

I don’t always agree with Alex (in fact quite often I disagree) but I wish I could be as positive as him in some instances. The Preview Show is one I really look forward to, especially to kick off the weekend on a Friday night and Alex alway provides a balance to the likes of Steven who I probably agree more with when it comes to the team. Hope this doesn’t put him off continuing on H and H. Ps. That’s absolutely class that everyone loves Big Andy - he’s a hero!!!! 😀🇬🇧

Elaine Campbell

What is wrong with people? We're ALL perplexed, and aye, even angry with the teams form right now. And over the past few years. The seeming lack of effort is as mystifying as it is frustrating. For all of us. However to take it out on some guys and girls, without whose content we would need to try and discuss and unravel these issues via the mainstream media. And we know how much a) they hate us and b) truth they tell. You did the right thing giving the guilty parties the boot David. This excellent service and its patrons should be be neither hate filled nor sycophantic. Right now, in my opinion, it's fulfilling that brief perfectly. Let's keep it that way.

Steven Robertson

I rarely agree with Alex but he always explains why he sees things his way. I don't know him but if you disagree with him that strongly, I'm almost certain he'd have a reasonable discussion with you. Online abuse is a cowards game, H&H is better off without people like that in their community. Unfortunately when he criticised the fans booing I suspected he'd get abuse. Personally I think fans who loyally spent a fortune to watch that shite are justified to voice their opinion but I can also understand fans who hate seeing their team booed. Telling other fans what they can & can't do (within reason) is a recipe for disaster

Douglas Innes

In my line of work( fisherman ) negativity can make people disengage especially younger males , if you not actively encouraging them you kill them

Billy Forrester

I think the parting of the ways with our manager is inevitable and only a matter of time but here’s a question, who the hell do we get next? It’s not gonna be a premier manager as they are out of our price range, so is it an experienced manager in the championship, or a relatively unknown with potential which I don’t think we can do again. Personally I’d try for Knutsen at Bodo Glimt. He plays exciting attacking football at a club with a smaller budget and they continue to punch above their weight. Whoever does come in will need to get a tune out of this lot MB has brought in and that won’t be easy given what we have seen so far

JOHNNY

Opinions are like arseholes everyone has one but the fannys who gives the podders abuse fuck off we don’t want or need you here, if we all had the same points of view it would be tedious who’d listen, this isn’t Clyde 1 or that peter martin shite thank fuck, it’s best for all your rangers news and entertainment about nothing beats it.

Graham johnston

Keep the head up Alex and the rest of the podders. The service is great and you're much appreciated 👍

Gary Brown

Audio fine for me too. Thanks for the pod David and the gig has certainly raised your mood a bit from yesterday. Online abuse is simply not on. Abusing someone who is routinely rational, understanding and does actually consider all perspectives of the issues, and mentions them, not just his preferred point of view just demonstrates the irrational, ignorant and close minded nature of the abuser/s. Yesterday wasnt good. But it was yet another 'must win'. We won! Different story if we stroked the ball around like Brazil '70, hadnt scored and got done 0-1 by a self inflicted defensive error eh? It'd be 'Boo. Stop all this tippy tappy pish, players are $hite, manager must go....' etc, etc Butland was really good! Rangers GKs need to be really good. Our defending was last ditch and needed defensive mids to keep them out. Yep, but kept a clean sheet - but for 2 seasons its been 'Boo. Sloppy defending, self inflicted goals conceded, need to be better...' etc. The entire team threw themselves into defending that slender lead and points. When have you ever heard a Rangers manager come out and slate a performance as thoroughly as Beale did yesterday? He's not hiding from this, he's not cosseting his players. As Rangers fans we are spolit with a history of supreme success, long eras of utter dominance. Practically every other team's fans don't have that. But they support, actually support, their teams week in week out simply 'because'. Because supporters are meant to support. Have blind faith. Have hope. Follow Follow? No Surrender? Rangers Family? If they played on the street, we'd support them from the pavement? Don't do walking away? Actions speak louder than words! The team need our support MORE when they are struggling than when they are in great form.

Graham Jones

That was pretty shit for big Alex or be targeted. The big man is probably one of the fairest people on the site, and always looks to reason for answers. Emotion is something we all need to hold in check right now. This is a difficult period and we need to hold our nerve. We’ve seen periods like this. In fact, we’ve seen periods like this under managers who won many trophies for us as manager. However, it’s a results business and we all know what boards can be like. I prefer to think our board are more measured than others. What the manager needs to go is concentrate on winning each game at a time, and get to the international break with another four wins. If he does that then he buys himself some breathing space to regroup, get players back on the trining pitch and run through some things that they aren’t doing properly. I also think he needs to sit down with players both collectively and individually, listen to what they have to say about things and also tell them some truths. These plans for expansion were clearly in the works by things that happened in the summer. They spoke openly about it at Rey Q&A, and even quoted estimates for hat it would cost, and when we started to run the recruitment with a break even target instead of a £15m spend that was leaked out then it became clear they wanted to focus in expansion. I don’t disagree with it, because we simply need t grow our revenue and we leave a lot of money on the table every summer because of the capacity limit. We do have to remember that there is still the work on the disabled facilities to be undertaken, and I though they’d do all that together with stadium expansion, but there was no surprise here about what Bisgrove said today. I’m not sure the training centre is really needing much for the moment. I’d rather see money be spent on a player than spend £1m on the training centre for once. True money for the stadium will probably be ring-fenced by now, and wont be touched form anything else.

Douglas Innes

Yeah when I first started the sea the guy who kinda guided me always used to say " there's not such a word as can't there's such a word as won't "

David Docherty

Well if reports are true that Beale went through them on Sunday and he doesn't get a response then surely he's finished. He's tried putting the arm round and no change.......

Ecky G

Late to the party but people in general need to realise that they have a right to their opinion as do other people. They don’t need to respect that opinion but respect that someone has a different view without resorting to abuse. Social media is a shit put at times all for the want of a like or two.
