Brian Rae

It certainly should be. I have no faith in that board to do the right thing though.

John Smith

He’s a great person Michael Beale, a genuinely good human. But I’m afraid he needs rescued from deep water now

Nathan

We all said we'd drop more points, as we did with Gio and here we are again.

Damien Stubbs

Ooooft “fan media don’t ask the tough questions” no f*cking about David haha

William Davidson

Pretty astounded by his reply to your question David. The words of a man who knows his time is up.

Tommy

He looked defeated in the dug out today. He looked devoid of ideas and lacked any passion by the look of his body language

David Bold

I'm not angry at all about this. I don't even have any hope going into games now. In a perverse way, I was happy when the 2nd goal went in as it meant I could leave the stadium early to get home. That's where I am just now.

Stephen

Who would look at Goldson, Tav , Barasic, lundstrum and think they could win us the league.

Craig Cation

He has to go now, but fear they'll drag it out. Its not working the coaching team are out of their depth.

james whyte

Manager, staff and players have been a disgrace since the 1st match of pre season. Beat nobody of note, Betis aside. Lge likely gone before October. Unforgivable, and I doubt very much this group of players can turn it around. Lge Cup doubtful too as I dont see them magically turning it on. Opposition know we are weak, mentally and in quality. Shambles. Scunnered.

Euan Dover

Just about the entire fan base knew this was around the corner.

stephen

Do we trust this board to appoint the next guy?

chris smith

How the actual fcuk did he get another press conference?

Graham Leatherbarrow

You don’t sign 7 when only Butland is good enough to get a shirt on merit, recruitment has been appalling. No determination, no battle fever just going through the motions. Who scouted this lot must also be gone, fans can tell after 2/3 games these players won’t work

David Bold

A new manager would get the opportunity to win a cup early. Reminds me of when Big Eck came in. Give the new manager the players returning from injury and the chance to win a cup early.

John Smith

I know Alan. I can only think it’s because they either don’t believe in what they’re being told or because he is such a nice person the players feel they can just do what they like

stephen

We genuinely seem to be absolutely screwed here. If they keep Beale they delay the inevitable yet again and if they get rid it's going to be up to them to find the replacement. Seriously what a fucking mess.....

Stephen Strong

Should have been bulleted after the home game against the filthy mob. But our Board again have hired a con man. Used car salesman promises. Team look lost with no plan at all

Kev Roberts

I got exited when I saw last press conference in the notification I wouldn't of let him do the presser

Euan Dover

That and the fact the next appointment sits with them are two major fears for me.

Paul

This is now on the board. It was a mistake not to sack him after the Old Firm game. It is unforgivable that we have written of another season, similar to the last, due to boardroom indecision. They should be held to account. The scary part is that these guys are now deciding who will be in charge next. That is frightening.

Jamie Gilchrist

what *should be his last press conference

Craig Kennedy

You say spent alot of money, I think you mean wasted alot of money.

Stephen Fraser

They’ll keep him until the break. They’d be as well having a guy fighting for his job than the assistant or B Team manager. And by the way, I want him to go now as well, I just think that’s how it’ll go

Maca82

We should sell season tickets in two months blocks clearly what the board value a season as. Damage done and too late. Tims call us Espanyol convince me otherwise despite the cash we waste as a support!

Austin Heath

Can’t stand Beale now, his incompetence has been shown and the fans have had enough and it’s time for him to go!

Damien Stubbs

Scary. I can’t remember what game it was when Stevie had to hold you back as you almost went for a manager, I can imagine without a bite you’d of had to hold me back in that position today. Thanks as always for putting up the goods regardless of the p*sh that’s being served up mate.

Mr J K Murray

no comment sirs, except the board must know, act accordingly

Jeb

I've been a big defender of Beale, but there is no argument anymore. You summed it up in a single sentence Davie - he's doing a bad job. Even if Wilson handed him these players (Beale sought out and paid for these players), he's still doing a bad job. Coaching is supposed to be his strength, and there is zero style, philosophy or cohesion.

Roderick Boyle

Beale has to go now , we have been dire since the start of the season, we’ve been screaming out for a decent midfield player who can drive forward , take control of the centre of the park and dictate the pace of the game ala Barry Ferguson in his prime . I don’t think for one moment the players know what they are supposed to do , we have no shape , no idea , truly awful .

maccalsa

Ok, I'm stuck, I was one of the people who thought that binning beale was a terrible idea, and I still do, sort off, but only because I can't bare the thought of us getting rid of another manager in a year, the performances have been god awful, but barring the opening day disaster, we have only lost to teams who have better players than us..... but..... it's done now. If we lose the first goal against anyone, I feel the games done. Seasons over, we have no manager, have spunked all our funds on players who are used to being in relegation battles. The one new outfield player who wasn't of that ilk has cracked his skull, now roofe is out, who actually can score a goal? The old adage that players get better in fans' minds when they don't play... come back, Kent and Alfie all is forgiven I mean FFS the season is all tied up with only 31 games to go.

David Campbell

It's just a matter of time now I think he will get the European game then st. Mirren next Sunday and that'll be him done. Between now and then tho I hope they are getting a list put together for replacements.

Angus MacDonald

Saw Beale leaving the stadium tonight, head down all the way to his car, getting dogs abuse from a minority, he looked absolutely broken. Very sad but absolutely time to go like most of us said after Celtic, this result was coming. Vast majority of our squad is absolutely rotten. League is long gone, we are suffering another “injury crisis”. Broken well beyond repair

Angus Mackay

We played well today until the failure to take chances drained belief. For Beale to succeed he needed at least one of his forward purchases to hit the ground running, none of them really have and Dessers confidence has clearly tanked. In hindsight the decision to sell Colak, whatever his limitations, has proved to be a huge, and it now looks fatal, miscalculation by Beale. He could have Brought in either Dessers or Danilo and kept Colak, that way he would have known that he had at least one player that was almost sure to get him goals in the short term until others settled. He didn't do that and it has likely sealed his doom. Back down the ladder we go to try and catch up the other lot from either further behind (in financial terms at least).

David Innes

Selling Colak was a bad decision - selling Colak and Sakala was downright reckless

Ryan Stewart

Beale absolutely has to go. But the problems at this club run much deeper than just who the manager is. Who will be responsible for choosing the new manager? And what football experience and skill do these people have to be making that decision? Wilson left and we decided to just let Beale have full control over everything. Rather than employing a new DOF and having an actual football strategy we’ve allowed a completely unproven manager to rebuild the squad using his phone book or guys he seen at youth tournaments 10 years ago as a recruitment strategy. Does anyone actually have any faith in those in positions of power at the club to get the next appointment right? Until we as club decide to enter the 21st century we are going to continue to be left behind

Billy Forrester

I am sad it’s not worked for MB. I was excited when he was appointed and hung on his every word, I truly believed he was the messiah. It’s not nice to see this but it’s for the best as I don’t want to see him suffer and be hated either, he seems a good man who loves the club, it just hasn’t worked and he has been a total disaster 🥲 I wish him nothing but the best for him and his family

Ross MacKay

Didn’t feel at all players were told to go round. Manager straight down the tunnel, reaction from Lundstram looked genuine to me, he knows what’s happened out there.

maccalsa

And it says a lot about how much crap we have up front when people want Sakala back.

Steven L

This might not sound the way I want it to but bear with me. I think we can all agree that the 55 season is the outlier, maybe rangers being mediocre is what we are now, in all honesty after 2012 do we actually deserve to be contenders in the league, what give us the right to expect to be challenging because we’ve won loads of trophies, let’s think about our last dominant period was the 90s 30 years ago. Now some might say we got to a Europa league final yes correct but so have Fulham, Middlesbrough. Take West Ham they won a European trophy would we say they deserve to win the epl, no they are a top 10 if lucky team. I’m rabbling but I think some will get my point, others will call me a crash barrier. All fair I suppose I’m just feeling a bit dejected at the moment that my rangers might just not be the same 1 I grew up watching which is utterly awful.

Heart and Hand

Getting to a European final is much more difficult for a Scottish team than an English one. But are we where we should be? No, nowhere near it.

Gary Shaw

I think we should still be winning and challenging better than we are….in terms of transfers there isn’t a million mile between ourselves and Celtic and we’re on a different planet financially to everyone else so I don’t think it’s outrageous that we expect a lot more than we’re getting…..we’re buying guys from Serie A,Bundesliga,Everdise and the EPL on massive wages, the sort that the Aberdeens,Motherwells of the world could only dream of so yes,we should be demanding more and getting more

SC81

I don't disagree with much, if anything, that the manager said. Ibrox isn't much fun to watch games just now so I doubt its much fun for the players to play at.

Doug Young

He has filled the team with journeymen and favourites and ignored youth and raw talent. It probably panned out wonderfully in his head. In reality.... as someone said somewhere on comments yesterday, core of the team is a little rotten and anything built around it will inevitably fail.

Simon Lewandowski

i totally agree with this ive been saying for months now we have our club back off the field but on the field we are just an average team who might win a cup every now and then it pains me to say that but im just being honest

maccalsa

Sadly, I have come to this conclusion a while ago too. When we had Stevie G, we had a chance, we had glamour, we had excitement, it took a while to get the title, but that was the point we needed to push on, and by push on we needed to move on players who had huge market value, and recruit sensibly, aim to buy the best youth we can afford in Scotland and England and marry it with a sprinkling of well scouted players who could add something special. We would always be behind Celtic tinacially as they would try and buy the league every year, but with this model in place, we would be competitive, and we would have purple patches where we would be winning silverware. Our league used to be the top 2. Now it's the top 1, and we are the perennial 2nd place team. Is so fucking depressing

Steven L

I agree David it is more difficult but it can also be a fluke that’s why I mentioned it with the likes a Fulham etc. How do we get this right?? The board won’t sack Beale is what I feel will happen, we’ll moan abit then expect it.

Neil Wilson

Still not published on Rangers YouTube channel.

Bryan Watson

His comments regarding it being "harsh to boo the team" to me really compound why he just isn't the man I do think he genuinely loves the club which is fair enough but we spend so much time, money and effort to support the team only to be served up with constant guff (that frequently contradicts the soundbites the manager has tried to sell us), to say that we need to do more is ridiculous. I don't think his backroom staff get it either. You could see how afronted Neil Banfield was midweek when someone asked him "when will this big Rangers performance come?" (think it was Joshua from RR who asked the question). They genuinely think that 10 mins at home to Servette, 20 min flashes against Ross County and the likes, flashes in a home draw to PSV and a half against Real Betis constitute a big performance that the support can believe in and get behind. That to them is the standard and we just need to put up and shut up. We do not have a style of play (like it doesnt exist, its not like we have a bad style of play like we did under GVB, its just non existent under Beale), I genuinely have no idea what we are trying to do, what our tactics are or what our philosophy is. Dessers spoke to RR after the Hoffenheim friendly about it "not being about formations/systems and its about expressing ourselves" which aye sounds dead cool but really equates to no clear coaching, no clear tactical identity and its coming to fruition on the park. We don't have players that are good enough to just "do something" its not sustainable. The only team in the world that has the quality to get away with that is Man City and funnily enough they are coached to within an inch of their lives. He cannot be allowed to continue, he isn't the man for the job. End of the day this isn't Liverpool U23s or Chelsea U14s etc this is Rangers Football Club and we need more. I think we have actually recruited decent players i.e. Lammers, Danilo, Cifu etc and a better manager with a clear system gets a lot more out of the team.
