Am I missing something with Liverpool? They seem to be spoken about as almost a guarantee to get in the top 4 however, I feel that they have a strong 11 but pretty weak outside that compared to the rivals. Also with the AFCON in the new year I think that will affect them badly as Salah appears to be holding it all together the now? And should they be looking to cash in on Van Djik and upgrading what they have?

With the large turnover of players/spend and lack of europe. What is the absolute minimum achievement for Chelsea this season? For me a cup is the minimum given the lighter schedule.

I think its more so the fact, they've been better than the other so called big 6 in Man Utd & Chelsea, also an assumption Newcastle will not be as good with having the extra games in Europe to deal with. Personally think its far from guaranteed especially if Spurs continue on current form and Man utd/Chelsea start to improve. Think Man city & Arsenal still a cut above the rest, so for me 3 spots from the other 5 clubs, given the likely extra spot with the CL revamp

Are you surprised with the increase in European group stage games from next season, combined with the (IMO justified) complaints from players and managers about the volume of games that there hasn't been more of a push for an 18 team league? The quality at the bottom of the table is absolute muck this season, and there's been a lot of seasons recently where the teams in 19th and 20th haven't been up to anything. IMO an 18 team league is just right - 20 teams like in Serie A and the EPL just feels like it's too big and you don't really get much in the way of quality at the bottom.
