Jack is putting himself first, which is his right, but it just doesn't sit right with me. Rangers have paid him for years while he's been injured more often than not. Not his fault but he gets a new contract, gets fit, gets in side then get injured pushing himself too far playing for Scotland. Think he owes his club some more respect than that. With how his body has broken down so much over the years continuing to play for Scotland at his age is pretty selfish.

Bob MacCallum

No new contract in the summer hopefully. PC won't be as sentimental or " loyal" as previous managers.

Martin Boyd

You sound better today David👍

Colin Mackenzie

Surely Robsons comments about VAR and Rangers penalties falls into the bringing the game into disrepute category? Arteta recently got a ban for less. Not that the SFA will bother to do anything about it.

James

Lammers had a couple of chances to really get the fans onside. The wild shot and header straight at the keeper. As David said, we knew he would miss. It is totally obvious why he has scored so few goals in his career. Miovski would probably have buried both chances.

David Baillie

I posted at the time Jack got the new contract that in my opinion his new 1 year deal should have been conditional on him not playing for Scotland. Just more bad management for me. You can’t blame him for carrying on with Scotland but not at the expense of our team. We could have done better letting Ryan go and keep hold of Scott Arfield.

Stephen

Shouldn’t be giving injury prone players contracts full stop. The only positive about Jack continuing to get in Scotland squads is he will have to be playing well for rangers to do so.

Allan

Robson is bringing the game into disrepute with his comments about Rangers and VAR.

Graham johnston

The penalty to Rangers thing gets my goat but what chance have we got when you have Celtics board and opposition managers making snide comments. To top that off we have people like Sutton and Stewart always having little digs continually and they get paid to do so by our broadcasters we pay for.

Andrew Hind

Sky obviously don't care about Scottish football or they wouldn't let idiots like Sutton or McFadden near a microphone

Gary Shaw

No need to let daft commentators get you all het up,it means nothing and it won’t prevent us getting penalties…should be more worried about overhyped players failing time and time again.

Gary Shaw

David,I haven’t even listened to it yet…my post was just in reference to what the other posters have said regarding Sutton,McFadden

Gareth bennie

Robson is either trying to create a public narrative, whilst privately lambasting his defenders, or he really thinks he is being hard done by. Given the ridiculous 95th minute penalty they gave away against PAOK, their late collapse against Celtic and our penalty yesterday, then surely it’s the former. Otherwise he is really, really fucking thick.

Heart and Hand

Ignore me, I’m a crabbit bastard today. I deal with colds about as well as we dealt with long balls yesterday 😂

Gregg

It’s classic deflection - talking about how Aberdeen have been so hard done to by var and should be higher etc. I wonder where he got the woe me mentality from

Gary Shaw

I’m on the same boat with the man flu,David…no hard feelings mate and get yourself better for a cold one on Thursday night 👍

Billy McCormack

Same shit different day, the players need to get this the sheep only try against us, its bollocks, in the first half we were going through the motions and it made the sheep look like they were trying, it's getting tiresome.

Doogz

Let Jack continue with the National team, just let it be with another club after this season. We need durable players capable of playing 3 games a week, not 3 or 4 then out for weeks. Guy body just won’t stand up to the rigours of club and international football. Thanks for efforts and move on.

Ross Whitehead

We definitely need a new left back, Borna has run his race with us. Yet to be convinced by Ridvan, his height being my main issue with him (him being targeted by the opposition - I have no problem with small people). I guess Fraser isn't ready and Sterling/Devine aren't suited? I'd go for Doig, but he's probably out of our price range now.

Gregg

Said it for years - if we are to listen to so called experts, who are no doubt getting paid a decent fee then the least they could do is a wee course on the rules once a year. You have Michael Stewart suggesting ex pros should be involved in var - as if him and his like somehow know the rules better than the referees. The arrogance and lack of self awareness is off the scale - but not surprising. Best thing we could do is let us hear what the refs are saying - we’re also being educated on the rules - and hopefully put a few of the loud mouth shock jocks on the dole.

Jim Milne

At this point I'd far rather have Adam Devine played ahead of Borna and Ridvan. He never put a foot wrong when played in the 1st team.

David Innes

Yep - he’s not making the Euros squad unless he has a very decent second half of the season. The days of Scotland caps being handed out like confetti are gone

David Innes

Expect the penalty to Rangers narrative to be further ramped up ahead of the league cup final by the usual suspects. They basically just don’t want VAR being used in our games unless it’s to give something to the opposition

David Innes

We had to keep him due to his homegrown status - Ross Wilson’s piss poor squad building / lack of succession planning is to blame

David Innes

How many times over the years have we seen a young player come into the first team for a few games, look decent then completely fall out of the picture before eventually leaving? Looks like Devine will be next to add to the list

Doogz

Commented earlier before listening to DU, thoughts are with Billy’s family and friends.💙

Jock Wallace

There is "mysterious respiratory infection" going about China at the moment. I'm not saying Davie has caught Covid-23 , but...

David Baillie

Aye David, the homegrown aspect could have been easily dealt with. Totally agree on the recruitment management. Unfortunately Wilson aided and abetted by GVB and Beale have left us in a mess.

Stephen

Scotland have got a strong midfield so we are doing well having a player good enough to be involved. There is only 1 more international window before his contract runs out so I don’t know what the big deal about it is. He only played about 10 minutes in the last break. It would be ridiculous to give him another contract anyway.

Jock Paterson

I constantly see complaints about the defence - they are not the problem. We are still not scoring goals. 20 odd shots again and convert none, probably the worst ratio in the league.

Jock Paterson

Just listening to the flagship and you’ve just mentioned it 😂 Not just the strikers, still not getting numbers from mids either. What are the likes of Motherwell and the sheep training on? Single figure chances and slotting them away. Very frustrating.

Michael Gray

Absolutely Jock- we’ve probably scored 20 a season less than Celtic the past two years. That’s the priority. As a fan, any goal we concede I’ll think “that could have been prevented”. Mistakes do happen, just need to be minimised…

Jock Paterson

Yip, never happy losing any either, Michael, but our defensive record stands up to any team in any league (apart from champions league 😬). I just hope we don’t end the season as nearly men again. Great opportunity to prove themselves as winners in the final in a few weeks.

Graham Jones

Every player who has played for us and Scotland has had a decision to make regarding their national career, and Ryan Jack is no different. Better players than him have had to learn to call it a day , so he has to be fair to himself and the all parries involved. He’s not getting a regular game for them anyway, and if Clarke can find a way to drop him, he would in an instant. We all know his feelings are warped towards us. If he wants to have any chance of extending his Rangers career he has to get him self fit and stay that way this season. He’s on a twelve month contract anyway, because everyone knows that’s all you can give him with his injury record. The club allow this narrative t build up every season, and we always get hit bad with decisions in the back end of the season. We can’t afford to let these players go, because we don’t have the money to replace them until we sell them. We have to work with them until they have some market value again. The only way I can see him getting some money in January is if Yilmaz gets sold back to Turkey. He’s not being used so we would be better to sell him on and use the finances to help the manager.

David Gardner

Hi David - I was wondering if the club have approached Aberdeen and police scotland regarding the photos and videos of Aberdeen fans mocking the 66 fans who died in the Ibrox disaster.
