Whow I was at ibrox 2day too Must have just missed them. Taylor highly thought of

Iain Mitchell

Good news to have them unofficially in before January window kicks off. Hopefully start to plan to clear a few out from now til then

John Smith

These guys are both highly respected

KennyY

Not, before time. Despite whether we want to retain players services or not it’s neglect of duty the amount of players out of contract last summer and again this summer. Wish them both the very best.

Richard McLuckie

Will be good to get their remit, Director of Football Recruitment is a very specific role rather than DoF which would be a much wider role

ali t

Massive job.....a few in for Jan and huge number out in summer.....good luck guys

Ron

Badly needed!!

John Smith

Nils Koppen has put PSV clear ahead in Dutch football and Tom Taylor’s analysis transformed Brighton in to what they are today. This is a major coup

Scott McKenzie

Hopefully work can take place unofficially until their official start dates commence

Luke

Moving forward! Great now to get new players in that fit better for what we need. One or 2 in January please. And a couple out. For example selling bassey( great money) to be replaced by ridvan was a terrible decision. We have lost power on the left hand side that hasn't been replaced and have had to rely on borna to much in my opinion. A couple of examples I can think of is tavs 2nd goal against Dortmund at home and the sakala goal (og) in the semi final against Celtic. Hopefully future signings match what we need. Can't get them all right but I don't think we have got much right in recent years. Just my opinion.

No Director of getting shot of deadwood?

Colin Gardner

Hopefully has 2 or 3 players in mind for January and if he can shift Lammers and Dessers in January I'll have his babies!

Jason Allan

Squad needs trimmed of deadwood and those constantly injured by end of the season. Time to build a new back four and not have so many players of the same kind in forward positions. Be good to see more youth players coming in. Develop our own, play and win then move on.

Both incredibly important roles at our club and by fuck are they in for a very hard shift to right a multitude of wrongs

Eight or nine months later….. still, the main thing is he’s here, and he seems to be an upgrade on Wilson. Looking at PSV’s recruitment over ours he’s a big upgrade, but he has a mess to clear up. I’m not sure you can speed up a trading model in the way they seem to think. I have to say the mens football board is kinda light on football personnel. Are the chairman and CEO joined at the hip? Because there’s no need to have both there, and it could’ve provided them with the opportunity to invite a football person to be there to balance up the decision making.

They have one helluva mess to sort out. It's definitely not the easy option! Good luck guys and welcome to Rangers!

Ryan Stewart

Can’t claim to know anything about either of them tbh. Both coming from very well run clubs though so on paper it looks good. If your man can manage to ship out Lammers and Dessers I’d build him a statue personally

Fraser McMinigal

Best of luck to him. Getting rid of the duds is the first order of business. And let’s be honest that’s going to be difficult

Gary Shaw

Give it 2 months and Koppen will be getting blamed more than Tav.

Good luck to both. They both seemed to have done great jobs in the leagues they were in. It will be interesting to see how they handle the wheeling and dealing side of the game as neither have worked with such small budgets I hope that with contacts, they can offer lammer and such to teams that may be able to use their "talents" as we really need to free up some cash to reinvest in squad. Lambert reportedly cost us 3.5 and has a 4 year contract. That is quite a chunk of money i imagine
