Again great debate lads love listening in to the pod's very interesting might not agree with all but it's all about people's opinions and of course the rangers 👍

I see the SPFL have given the SPFL a clean bill of health. Very reassuring.

Steven McLean ref on Weds.

Latimer

He's one who doesn't try to make himself the centre of attention usually.

Graham McCallum

If Dessers had everything the modern day number 9 needs he wouldn’t be playing for us

Greg Blades

Title was crying out for a Daily Update style theme tune.

Dessers finishing is down to nerves more than anything, which I think is coming from not having a lot of confidence. I know where everyone is coming from based on what we’ve seen, but I don’t see us getting rid of him till at least the summer, and we should give him as much backing as possible to get the most from him until hen. He has improved since the start of the season, but there appears to be some nerves about what he’s doing. Maybe the judgement he had dished out to him early on hit him badly, but that was frustration about the direction the club has taken since we won the Scottish Cup Final. Our trajectory was almost downhill all the way, apart from the win we had in Eindhoven.

Greg

He will end this season with a very good goal return, he's the target at the moment, we always have to pick one.

Well said Graham & Greg. The problem with Dessers, and Lammers, is not poor ability but poor timing & execution. Dessers keeps at it and is getting better - imagine what he can do if he feels love from the stands? Lammers the same, so many chances squandered because he was literally trying to smash the air out the ball to score and get the fans onside. Anxiety in both lads, caused by people from the stands! The Morelos obsessed need to actually look back at what he actually did as a player - all the criticisms vented at Dessers (& Lammers); misses chances, doesn't strike the ball clean, holds onto it too long, tries to beat 1 man too many, falls over the ball, misplaced passes, poor decision making and "canny dae it v Sellic" are exactly what Morelos did week in, week out. Don't forget the extras; petulance, suspensions, regular poor physical fitness & lack of effort in Buff's bio! Took him time to settle too. Scored in streaks. Never a goal a game striker, ever! Being a Rangers supporter is VERY easy - support the players with a Rangers shirt on!

Thanks for the Flagship David, Alan & Andy B. Good show lads. Similarly a good show by the boys on Saturday night. Diabolical weather, really poor pitch, wee team getting on TV vs a big team - all the classic 'levellers' for a cup tie making that a very awkward fixture. Handled well.

Gary Brown

Agreed! But that's been the same, in every position, since at least 2003!

Gregg

Some truth in this - it has always been so though. Our fan base are ultra critical and quick to make their minds up about players - home games especially. It’s a chicken and egg thing though - the players have to produce - or even show something to cling on to if they are settling in. Sadly both players failed at this. Lammers looks like a five a side player - Dessers just isn’t reliable. I’d take a half fit Morelos over both tbh.

Refreshing to hear that everyone understands that ‘the trading model’ necessitates selling our best players whenever suitable bids are received. Just hope no suitable bids are received for Jack Butland in the next seven days.

I'll say it - I'm on the Dessers train. He can be frustrating but I think our support is far, far too critical of him. I've actually wondered if a good comparison might well be Hateley. I'm just too young to remember 1990/91, but he had his early troubles because he was recovering from serious injury, and was replacing a fan favourite to boot. The one thing Dessers really needs to kick start his Rangers career is a big winning goal. He is actually very good at scoring crucial goals rather than padding his record by scoring the final goal in a 4-0 win. I think the mood music would be a lot different if had scored at Hampden or Parkhead last month.
