I was out all day yesterday and there wasn't much signal where I was. Got home quite late and had totally forgotten that lot had been playing. Pleasant surprise to see Hearts win. Get out of jail free card uses for sure!

The issue for me with Goldson and Souttar is that when they have an off day they are 3 out of 10. Playing together and both on a bad day, its like starting a goal down. 1 man can ragdoll both of them at times. Souttar needs to be much more aggressive in the air aswell.

Greg

I don't think motherwell deserved the win, a draw would have been fair. Motherwell got very lucky with the ref on Saturday, very lucky.

Yilmaz was correctly M of the M but YOU thought he was "poor"? As for Well deserving to win - absolute nonsense. We had 31 shots at goal with 11 on target - twice their numbers so on which planet did they deserve their win? I was there and was disappointed but watching the whole game later on Gers TV, I realised we weren't "poor" as you are claiming. Just one of those games. Well players must have left wondering, how the hell did we win that one?

Colin Mathie

We 100% dodged a bullet this weekend.

Simon H&H

We were off it all afternoon Bob. Deserved nothing from the match really.

Iain Campbell

Goals win games. Far to often we jusy resorted to shelling the ball into the box and to no effect

Martin Sutherland

I think the game on Thursday suits a 3-5-2. Bring in Davies. Jack needs to start for me.

Yea we started the game thinking it was gonna be a stroll and couldn't get back up to full tilt, they have did that a good few times in the past so it's really bloody unforgivable from the ones that should know better. Probably thought they could have an easy day and be OK for europa.

Gordon Robertson

We lost because of our poor play while Celtic lost because of refereeing. I'm back to the glass half empty after the euphoria of yesterday afternoon!! 9 bloody games to go!!

Goldson was embarrassing. Im sorry to say, but our defenders need to be far more cynical in their tackling on guys like Bair. First 10 mins, every opportunity to get a ‘reducer’ iin. It was horrible to see him rolling around on the ground hurt after every other tussle.

chris smith

On what basis did Motherwell ‘deserve’ to win? They had three big chances and scored twice, one pretty much a fluke. We were shoite but we should still have won comfortably based on chances created. It seems like people think if we play shoite we somehow deserve to lose … its nonsense. Motherwell won because they scored more goals than us ‘deserving’ doesnt come into it.

Greg

Goals scored by players who should no longer be on the pitch also win games.

chris smith

Yes indeed, nothing logically to do with deserving tho. Numerous football matches are won by teams who won despite the way the game unfolded.

Ronnie Gallacher

Not sure I agree Motherwell deserved to win, nor that the team wasn’t up for it! They did deserve to have a man sent off though. Despite playing poorly we had enough chances to win that game, yes, they took their chances however I still say they did not deserve to win, aren’t we being overly self deprecating here? I’m not sure we’ll collectively play that poorly again so let’s be positive guys, this is in our hands, let’s go!!

John Jamieson

For that 2nd goal tav is the only one defending there is 3 Motherwell players at the back post with tav where is the rest of the defence??

Doug Maclean

Sorry guys but the replay of the game is very different from your memories. Yilmaz was actually consistently good and Tav was left with 3 players to defend against on their second goal

Hendi

Agreed, lazy analysis to blame Tav. There were 3 men attacking front post, rest of the defence marking space, instead of men.

William Hughes

Could be wrong here btw but I thought before the 2nd goal that Motherwell were offside in a phase of play that got played on.

Brian Rae

Too many players underperformed but it's a stretch to say Motherwell deserved it. They should've been down to ten men and the hammer thrower who commited the tackle then wouldn't have scored their winner. If you look at the tag team assault that Roofe has posted on his Instagram, we should've had another penalty. No, this game was heavily influenced by a cheat of a referee and VAR operators who decided to ignore multiple moments that could've handed us an advantage.

Simon, Iain, good pod. Seldom experienced such an emotional rollercoaster over a weekend. On the way home from church on Sunday I deliberately didn’t look at my phone but got a very pleasant surprise just after 2pm👍 The weekend’s events if anything boost my confidence of winning the title. I knew our current side was bound to have a slip at some point so it’s down to whether Celtic could capitalise. That lot have dropped points in 3 out of their last six matches. You have to go back to Postecoglou’s early days for that sort of inconsistency. I don’t know if I can handle the next few weeks!

Angus Mackay

Well said on Davo, boys. In nearly fifty years of following Rangers he is one of my favourite players. Always a credit to himself, his family, his club and his country. A genuine legend.
