Joyce Summers, Buffy's mom, is a newly-divorced woman, who had to uproot her life to move away and start a new, art gallery business to support herself and her teenage daughter that got kicked out of school for suddenly getting into fights that eventually led to her burning down her school gym, and still somewhat getting into trouble. She already got in trouble in the 2nd episode because she'd already started skipping school on her second day. Joyce just got a lot of her plate lol... I've always theorized that the reason people keep living in Sunnydale is because despite it being in California, it's a lot cheaper to live there due to the super high murder rate keeping thd rent/property value down lol...

this was such a goofy episode LMAOOO you know when they show a puppet episode.. i think back to obviously Chucky, but also goosebumps, Halloween episode of Family Matters. also eme, that teacher did give off a death flag by being nice LMAOOO
