Dear Patrons,

Welcome to the world premiere of Episode 3 of The American Revolution - the Battle of Bunker Hill! The war's getting serious - and the last moderate voices on both sides are being drowned out by the sound of gunfire...

Big thanks to PMF for spectacular work on this episode, also to all our voices, and to our historical advisors Prof Frank Cogliano and Ryan Schwartz.

Our next video is going to be the Spread of Islam, arriving in about a week's time...

We hope you enjoy the video, and thank you for supporting the channel!

Nice way to integrate work you did for the Nelson series to the US series

Anderson Rochford

I had a feeling that y'all would drop something today

Kevin Xu

In time for the 250 army anniversary, it’ll be a busy weekend in the US

MitchyCool

Battle of Breed’s Hill!! LET’S GO!!!!

DC*

Made my day. Thank you!

Last episode of Mike Duncan's Martian Revolution series and this on the same day!

Pyth0n

The quality of your videos have skyrocketed. I've been following since the start of the Napoleonic war's series. I hope you guys keep going.

TankerBricks

A excellent video! Why do I feel myself siding with the Americans?

zachary

LETS GOOOOOOOOOO

Jon Molden

Oh I was excited for this one. Great work as usual guys.

Stuart Carver

Whatever you’ve done for the Boston Map keep doing that! The angle, lighting, crispness and added depth with the cloud effect really works here!

Lord John 🇵🇱💚

This was absolutely awesome!!!!!!! On My next day off I’ll be watching all three episodes in unison time to pop the fawkin corn & kick back! & Toby & Charles thank You so much!!!!!!! 👊🏻🥹💚

Udel-jury

Nothing feels as good as the animation of the troop movements in your video

Udel-jury

If you ever need a native German speaker (for example, for your WWII series), you're welcome to hire me for free. I've been captivated by your YouTube videos for years, and I'm happy about any opportunity to give something back.

BP Gaming 175

Great video. The end point felt a bit odd though, it would of been better if it had ended when the siege did, so we could pick up fresh next time with the New York campaign

BP Gaming 175

I think the music could of been toned down a bit and the map more zoomed in on the battle itself, but other than that it was great

EpicHistoryTV

Very kind offer - we may take you up on that some day!

Stuart Carver

Each to their own I must admit I’m a sucker for the toned up dramatic music. Love it stylistically

Udel-jury

I can also recommend the German historian Dr. Roman Töppel as a source. He provides an unprecedented insight into the reality of this war with insights from eyewitnesses and preserved Wehrmacht records. The quality of his lectures and interviews reflects yours.

SImon Turner

Episode 3 and we haven't even got the Declaration of Independence yet. Not a criticism, I am more than happy to dig in and go at it for the long haul. If I did have a criticism, it would probably be that being a constitutional monarch, King George III was never going to throw his government under the bus on this, so I naturally think the American depiction of him is rather harsh. Nevertheless, understandable in the circumstances.

Kevin Xu

If anything the narrative of king versus colonials is to overinflated the uniqueness of the American Congress and to soften the fact that many of the British assaults on American freedoms actually came from elected Parliament officials doing their democratic duty, which would make Americans wonder if they’re doing the same for folks in Puerto Rico or DC…

Danny Higgins

so excited for this series! been with you guys since you started napoleon and the growth is clear! keep going!!

Alexander Ruspandy

Thanks for the amazing work. I can see this series stretching up to 10 episodes. As long as you cover the later battles like Camden and Cowpens, I'll be happy!

Kevin Kev

Brilliant and informative, thanks

John Fugedy

Nicely done. I see I should have paid more attention in high school!

Kevin Castillo

Loved the video! At 10:55 on the left side it looks like Pennsylvania is misspelled and should be capitalized

Stuart Carver

10.55? I don’t even see the word appear at all at that point?

Kevin Castillo

On the left and right of the page each colony is listed with its delegates listed underneath the colony name. The fourth line under New Jersey says "pennysylvania" with names such as John Dickinson and Benjamin Franklin underneath it.

Stuart Carver

Ah I was being drawn to the colony names in bold you’re right

Jacob Smith

Great work as always! Since presumably the next part will address the Declaration of Independence, will you release that on Independence Day? :)

Rob Payne

Did y’all get Matt Smith to read Dunmore? Dude sounds just like him

Covfefe Dotard

As always you guys created another great video I hope you cover the Haitian Revolution one day

Yargo

Splendid as always !!

Eli Khanam

I don't find this topic as interesting as other historical periods covered, but I still appreciate the level of work put into it.

Dean Swiatek (Boomstick)

Excellent! Great timing too as I'll be visiting Bunker Hill when I'm in Boston next week!

Medin Burnic

This video is undoubtedly another tour de force from Epic History. The quality of this series is simply unparalleled, and each video continues to raise the bar further! Outstanding work, as always!

Geraint Thatcher

Great video Tobey. There is a the early Siege of Charleston in 1776 but its a failure by Clinton and it does feature a young cornet who will be the most hated British soldier in America. A brilliant young Cavalry officer called Banastre Tarleton

Dean Swiatek (Boomstick)

I’m the opposite.. it’s heavily covered and I know that was some people’s complaint sure but I’m always excited to see Epic History do it. Maybe because I live out east and got to see some of the historic landmarks which makes it more real if you know what I mean

MrAH2010

I hope you guys take some time to show the overseas movements such as India and The Great Seige of Gibraltar. Great series so far!

zachary

We desperately need a battle of bunker hill music score

Mingyuan Chen

This has been the best episode of the American Revolution so far!
