We have a decisive poll winner... 'more Napoleon!' 

I'll be starting work soon on 'Napoleon's Marshals - Ranked!', followed by a similar treatment for his top 20 enemies, and then the Vitoria campaign. At the same time I'll be  working on the Castles, Salamis and Apollo projects, as mentioned in the  production update. 

Thank you to all those who participated. I hope you enjoyed the process. For those who voted for other options, I can promise you there'll be a chance to vote for them again in  future. I strongly suspect that they will ALL appear on the channel at some point!

A Napoleon series is not complete without his first Italian Campaign as there is a consensus by military historians that the campaign was one of his best. Making a video ranking the generals seems superfluous in comparison.

Basically yes. The battle animations are complex and take a huge amount of time (hopefully a quick look at Leipzig will show you why!) And it often means there are 5-6 weeks between videos, which is not ideal. So I need to do something that's less intensive on the animation front for a while. But we'll get back to the campaigns in future.

I'll say it again, I cannot wait for the episode on Napoleon's Marshals! I was obsessed with these guys during high school and read the books by RF Delderfield and AG Macdonell. They were all so interesting and add so much to the Napoleonic lore. Its amazing that even now there is not a whole lot of resources or Youtube videos devoted to this. Hell, I'm gonna change my handle to "Peter loves Epic History TV" once it comes out.

Lannes was my favourite by far. The ideal Marshal. The mental image I have of him and Murat walking on to that bridge like a couple of massive 19th c. badasses to bs the Austrians in to handing it over. Maybe not the most honourable move but damn what balls these guys had.
