Dear Patrons,

Thank you to everyone who voted in the latest poll! Italy 1796 was the runaway winner, and the series will go into production in a few months. (All the other options will be offered again in future, but there will be some non-Napoleonic stuff in between.)

There's also another vote coming up on a Napoleonic 'one-off' topic, so stay tuned for more info in the next few weeks.

And finally, some '1848: Year of Revolutions' sneak peeks for you. This is a one-off video - a whirlwind narrative overview of one of the most dramatic years in European history. Hoping to get this to you around 3 Aug.

Thank you all again for your votes and for your support! I'll be back with more updates soon.

Was hoping for Marengo, but Italy is just as good. Keep up the good content Toby!

Love Napoleon's shadow over Europe as if Europe is not free from the influence he had over the continent. Looking forward to the video

Where is the province Limburg at the map? The southeastern province of the Netherlands that goes more south than on this map. Just feedback :)

EpicHistoryTV

Duchy of Limburg is now on the map. And now I understand that weird chunk that's taken out of Belgium's NE corner!

Job Franschman

Nice! Maastricht was already part of the Dutch republic as an enclave. So that is the reason why the Netherlands got that back in 1839 treaty I think. And the German confederation lost some territory because Luxembourg was made smaller. So the created the duchy of Limburg for compensation.

I better see that Larrey video as a one off topic option!! :P Looking forward to your newest videos and once again thank you for all your hard work EHTV!

EpicHistoryTV

Thank you! We'll have an open discussion here about possible topics before I make the shortlist - so don't forget to make the case!

Astra Solace

Awesome as always Toby! I hope you found some new epic music tracks to sass up this pivotal period of Europe!

Hey Toby, I was just thinking that in light of former PM Shinzo Abe's assassination, you could also do a video on the February 26 incident in 1936, where rebellious Japanese Army officers plotted a coup that ended up killing multiple Japanese politicians. It feels like a continuity too with the Decembrists story :)

Line_of_Blood

I hope one of the one-off Napoleon voting topics is the Plot of the rue Saint-Nicaise, or the machine infernale plot. Similar continuity with the Decembrists story. Lord know how many times the British tried to get Napoleon assassinated.

Line_of_Blood

Operation Valkyrie in august 1944 would be a cool topic as well. I don’t know maybe covering attempted coups and assassinations could be a successful series

Line_of_Blood

Does he get merch for that typo haha?

EpicHistoryTV

It would be difficult to illustrate one specific plot in any detail, but the assassination plots in general could be very good. Don't forget to mention when the debate opens!
