Hello loves <3 Now that Season 2 is underway, I thought it would be a good time to ask for some feedback on how the reading experience is coming along for you guys. If you missed the first feedback poll, you can view it here . Also, I'm opening this poll only to Fast Passers for now, so feel free to discuss Fast Pass episodes in here.

Important disclaimer - Because this always comes up whenever I ask for feedback, I want to assure you guys that I KNOW this is my story, and  I WILL tell it the way I want to.  Rest assured that this poll and the opinions of readers does not, and will not change anything about how I'm telling the MPL story. However, reader feedback is always helpful because it informs me on how much screen time I should allocate to what types of plot, or if I'm falling behind on any aspect of the storytelling process. Some of y'all might already know that I'm a hardcore romance buff so my personal  vote will always go to more Poppy/Tora romance 🥂🥂🥂

I honestly like the pace it’s going. I don’t feel like anything is lacking. I don’t feel like it’s too slow or too rushed. I like slowly finding out information versus having a lot thrown at me and being expected to catch all of the hints and red herrings then trying to make sense of things.

Honestly, I have loved every single episode this season so far in one way or another. I feel like season 1 was a very extended prologue and now we're really getting into things. I would like to see more romance but I feel like that's coming along and they're getting closer and closer. I am SO curious about Goliath and what his role is in the larger story, which I'm sure you will tantalizingly unspool for us. I personally love sweet, tender emotional moments over overtly sexusl stuff, as it feels more impactful to me. But I am totally on board with where you're taking things and have been enjoying the ride so far!

I think Poppy and Tora’s relationship is unfolding wonderfully. I think the build up is making me want them to fuck like rabbits. But I also love the organic real feel of how their relationship is unfolding. The tension is DELICIOUS. But I do also want more depth in the long game. More mafia background. More past events that lead to who they are today. I live for the childhood questions. The getting to know you interview thats lead to understanding why people are the way they are today. And the people in their lives are a major part of who they are. So seeing the Mafia/friend/adoptive family of Tora and the mysterious Past of Poppy’s family will make seeing who they are and why they are approaching this relationship the way they are all the more glorious.

Anyway back to the whole point… love the tension, love the romance. I’m a huge romance buff and I love the comic relief that they have in their love story. I’m excited to see how the story opens and I’m hoping poppy is able to stay safe from Toras mafia side.. like she’s never found and used against him. That would be horrible. However, I’m very excited to see where it all goes! Thanks for all the NSFW stuff too. Wooo a way to get a woman going! Hahaha.

I'm stuck on the sexy thing because horny brain says they need to fuck NOW but for the purposes of actual good story telling, the slow build up both makes it better/more intense and makes me like both characters more for actually building a relationship and having boundaries. The romance and sexual tension is definitely the meat of it for me... But I think it would lose some of its impact if it was constant. The secret gardens help a lot lol.

It's amazing as it is! The progress of their relationship and the story is fantastic. For sure I would love for them to go past kissing, but the way they're building up to it is awesome. I love how real it is. Thankfully we have the secret Gardens. Definitely can't wait for more mafia secrets, it's going to be exciting to see what we learn and how Poppy takes it all. I LOVE Tora’s internal monologues and his impressions of things unfolding. It made the steamy scenes so much more intense. It shows more how their relationship is evolving when we hear it from him. He is reflective in S1. The romantic pacing is going really well. I also can’t wait for some Lake Secret Garden.

God, I love ALL OF IT. Graphic novels I think by their nature unveil a story slower than bingeing through a regular novel. It's not possible to distill a whole chapter of 3000 to 5000 words into a few dozen frames... I think you are doing GREAT.

I love Poppy and Tora time together. I love their moments, them learning each other, and Poppy finding herself. So of course I'd love that sexy time too! I love the story and where it's going. My feedback would be sort of revolving around the moments without dialogue. In my personal opinion, I think this is where the confusion about pacing is coming in for people. I totally understand pauses add and are saying something without saying something! I think it would just help add clarity if I knew what I should be feeling during the silence moments. Sometimes I honestly can't tell if it's an awkward pause between Toppy, if it's Tora being moody, just meaningful silence, or the kind of quiet that happens before everything goes down. I get confused and I have to read it like 5 times. Maybe it's because Tora has been so stoic lately 😅 I hope I was being gentle enough! I try but it's hard with the internet. I love this last episode!

I have to really dig deep to answer your feedback because I’m so satisfied with how this is progressing. Especially between Tora and Poppy. I feel like there’s been a huge shift in Poppy since confronting Julri and I am so here for that. So I feel like we’re getting those cute and sexy moments between them enough to keep the pacing realistic with how long they’ve known each other and the progression of how they both feel. I’m confident in your story telling that we’ll see some stolen sexy time and fluffy and humour sprinkled through to keep a great balance. The humour especially you weave into it seamlessly and I always find something that makes me genuinely laugh aloud. As for the rest of it, the mafia/Quincey/Poppy mum/Goliath mystery, of course I’d love to see all of that. And I’m thoroughly enjoying the tidbits and clues to make us theorise. But again, I know we’ll get there because you’ve written it like this for a reason and I’m down for whatever happens. So yeah, no idea if that’s helpful feedback or not, but thank you Lily for giving us the options to leave feedback and creating a fantastic story in the first place for us thirst/theorise over. ❤️

Thanks for the poll. I voted for no changes, as I am loving how you're telling this story. Your artwork and hard work have made us fans, Lily. No other author has made me care enough about their fictional characters for me to want to picture them in reality. But when you revealed how tall Tora was, I got out my measuring tape, and marked it with blue painter's tape on my door frame to create a visual reference! Then added a piece of tape to mark Poppy's much shorter height. I left them up as a reminder. Kudos to you!

I love MPL from the bottom of my heart and I appreshiate all the time you spend on that story, giving us the chance to read it, Lily. So I just wanna give a minor feedback from my perspective and in no way I want to imply with that, that I don't know how much time each panel takes to make. Here we go: Sometimes I feel like the panels are missing one more panel inbetween for the transition. Like in the last chapter, last panel: Poppy suddenly has her arms around Tora, but a "second" ago they both were talking and the arms are not in sight. I feel like a panel where Poppy places her hand on Toras shoulder or something to imply what follows next, like just that they're stare into each others eyes without talking or so, was what I personally missed there.

The build/sexual tension is always the best part of a budding relationship (to me) and for Poppy and Tora both wanting to be cautious I feel the speed it is going is perfect for two unsure and kind of scared characters. Yes wanting some of the side story questions lingering out there answered would be cool, but every time the main focus isn't on Poppy and Tora I'm sad lol! I personally think the length of each week's is good as is also, it's best to get quality over quantity. Even though I'm always guilty of crying at the end bc its over til the next week lol, I know sometimes life has other plans for how much time you have to spend on working.

Honestly, I love it. A year ago or so, I would have never thought I would be so immersed in to a "webtoon" I had never heard of such a thing. I was just minding my own business and OMG the most beautiful golden eyes looked right back at me. He was wearing a suit and I would ignore it but then my Instagram kept bumping me to this scary guy who was handsome and I had to finally see what it was all about. I voted for the last option. However, here's my take on all of this start of the second season: I find (and this is my personal opinion and my feelings) that the story progresses more slowly. Like a kind of slow motion in the evolution of the story and the characters. So yes, I hope from the bottom of my heart that the relationship between Poppy and Tora advances in a positive way, but ... not at the expense of the story. What I like about this webtoon is the realism of the characters. They are believable and i can feel a lot of work on your part, Lily. That's what I like and I think I told you before. I like the plot around the mafia. I'm curious (very) about Poppy's mother. I'm making a whole bunch of theories about her. In fact. It's the whole story that I love. Not just the romance, not just the sexiness. It's a whole. As said above, I want the relationship between Tora and Poppy to move forward, but not at the expense of the common thread I don't want to read that. And I hope, I cross my fingers that they have a happy ending. Even if I suspect that they will have to overcome a lot of obstacles, that it will not be easy for them. But it's just a wish. Again, the important thing is that the story is believable and well brought up.

I like how it’s going right now! I think what hooked me to the series was how it was the perfect amount of everything and it’s so weird to say because usually people want the characters to kiss so soon and I’m like “hehe don’t kiss just yet, let it BUILD!!!!” lol!! I think it’s very organic but I’m a sucker for romance and a hint of jealousy from one of the two. I miss Quincey and would love to learn more about Tora but again, the pace is very nice so even then I can wait for however long it takes for back stories.

But for real, I'll take more of everything, but the pacing has been great so far this season. It is dragging just a little, but I feel like the satisfaction is right around the corner. I just discovered MPL about 4 or 5 days ago and obsessively read everything, so my perspective is probably a bit different than people who have been following the story from the start at a slower pace. That being said... I will never complain about more romantic moments! Especially as Tora and Poppy both allow themselves to be emotionally vulnerable with each other. I don't mind the slower pace, because it feels very realistic to me (Poppy trying and failing not to withdraw when Tora doesn't respond, because of the years of manipulation and emotional abuse Julri put her through, really resonated with me) but I always love the tender moments and would love more of those. But I'm also really invested in the mafia storyline and the mysteries surrounding it (like if/how it connects to Poppy's mom), so I ended up voting for both romance and the mysteries. All that being said, I love the way the story is progressing as is, but a little more romance and a little more development of some of the plot mysteries would not go unappreciated!

I just want to say yes to everything. I would read 1000 Seasons of this. I love everything about it and the only thing that drives me crazy is having to wait a week each time. But patience is a virtue and great art and a beautiful story is worth waiting for. So yes, keep up the tension, the world building, the action, the intrigue, the sexy fun times (uwu), and the deep emotional healing they all need. I think we need more information on the Goliath situation soon because it is sort of the inciting incident for everything and the danger they are all in but it is very much forgotten 98% of the time because everything and everyone else is so much more compelling. It is absolutely the danger lurking and I would love to have a few more meaty teasers to know why and how it is motivating your characters and how this knowledge will change how we feel or what we know about them all. I think somewhere down the line, eventually, I would want to better understand how Quincy fits in with all this. He is not just the sassy, eccentric best friend or Tora’s Boss. He is heir apparent to a powerful crime syndicate. Why is he not more F-ed up and entitled? Is it because of Tora’s influence? What inspired his mutual loyalty to Tora and if his father suddenly died or was killed, what/how/if/would that stress change their relationship? Is Quincy wanting/looking forward to be in charge or is he just along for the perks? And if it all suddenly landed in his lap, what new danger does that bring to him and Tora and Poppy? Is Tora trying to get out of that life and is Quincy part of the escape plan, or a possible roadblock? And who else might have an interest in one or both of them leaving/staying? And if Tora left without Quincy, would Quincy be motivated to leave too, or to try to draw Tora back in? Or if Quincy was able to escape, would he make moves to get Tora out too? Because no matter how much Quincy loves Tora and vice versa, their other ambitions may or may not be in alignment. And how well do Poppy and Quincy function when book and Tora aren’t the motivation? Is Poppy someone that Quincy can/will respect and is Quincy someone Poppy can/will understand?

I’m in love with everything about this story, the romance, the comedy, the mafia, all of it has made for one of the best stories I’ve ever read (and I’ve read a decent amount of stuff) I’m very satisfied with most of the pacing and plot development, cuz it feels very realistic, even in the “finding someone when you really should wait to heal from your next relationship, but when it’s the right person waiting is so hard, even when you SAY ‘we’re not dating’ but you do so much of everything together.” *looks at husband*… there are many parallels to my life (not mafia…but the tall dark and handsome troubled kid with a heart of gold) anywho. My point is, I find it hard to ask for anything to change because I trust you so much to do this right, because after all this time, it’s still beautiful and captivating and the story keeps throwing me surprises (most of them pleasant) I voted for almost everything…which I know isn’t helpful. But I do want more sexy, more romance (cuz I could just read a comic about all of Poppy and Tora just falling in love) But at the same time, it’s so intriguing to read because of the danger of the mafia, the almost forbidden love, the back story for why Tora (and Poppy) are the way they are. Finding out more about Tora in 75 was almost heartbreaking, and I loved it. I’m stuck in a horrible spot of I want to have all the story right now so I know how it ends, and I do not want to rush you, because this story needs to be done the justice it deserves, and also I never want it to end. All that to say, thank you Lily, I love MPL, it has helped me heal and recognize my own areas I need to improve, and has brought an extra bit of joy and light to my Friday’s, and most other days (especially SG days ;} )

That scene early on in season 1, Tora bursts in on a meeting where the only woman is hanging off Vincent like an accessory. Gotta say, it's really balanced. I know it feels like a true slow burn because we've been following this comic for more than a year, but honestly, it hasn't been that long for the characters. Not to mention the way you paint the mafia side is both glamourous and gritty. Honestly, I couldn’t choose. I’m here for it all. I find the story, in terms of each of these categories, balanced or (in the case of Poppy’s mom and other “secrets”) where we we haven’t gotten as many answers I’m trusting the storytelling process. With that said, there have been a few sections in Season 2 that I have found a little choppy and I had to go back and re-read (never really a hardship as I’m constantly re-reading MLP for shear enjoyment). The only reason I didn’t ultimately select any of the options is because each seemed kind of negative on the tail end ie: like if I’m here for and loving the comedy (which I am) that doesn’t necessarily mean the story has gotten too serious for me either… if that makes any sense? I love seeing Poppy and Tora together and I like how their story is unfolding- I’d love a couple episodes that don’t end with a cliffhanger or a million new questions 😛 but can’t fault that at all!

I’m late to this. Long time reader and first time comment here. I recently reread the entire story from start to current FP chapter. I chose the Mafia and sexy time (even if it’s just secret garden ) bc I feel like there are a lot of secrets and hints. ( poppy boss, Quincey’s story, grandma ) that are slowly surfacing without much stability? Like they intrigue the hell out of me and I never hear or see anything of them after that one chapter. I’m sure that’s intentional for built up, but after rereading it all I was really impressed again with how amazing the timeline is and I do love the pacing.
