Hey all! Since the last 2 weeks haven't had any Wednesday postings I am catching us up to date today by posting the 2 missing posts (a WIP Wednesday and a One-Shot Wednesday) and the scheduled WIP Wednesday post for today :)

Hope you enjoy! This one is from my "wizard story" I was writing with my brother. This piece was written about 10 years ago haha Enjoy!“Now, tell me more about your plans to fight dragons!” [Briel] laughed, “Jem will tame the savage beasts near and far!” she teased.“You rhyme quite well!” he chuckled.“Yes perhaps I should become a minstrel for the banquet instead! Ah Jem will tame the savage dragon. One look from his eye will make the poor creature sigh and send him back to a far-off cave to lie. And if a savage beast should appear the people should have little fear for our hero and savior Sir Jem shall be there to right the wrongs and save the numerous throngs of people across the land! And all of Perdæshia shall sing ‘Sir Jem the greatest of all the Knights of our King!’” Briel laughed. And Jem applauded. “You shall need musical accompaniment! Shall I round up some players?” he asked.“Ah no sir; you must protect our Kingdom!” she advised. The two friends smiled at one another. “Well I’m afraid I must retire,” Briel announced, “I still have some work I must do before the morrow.”“I shall escort you!” Jem offered, standing.“Oh no! Don’t you have your own duties to attend to –in the stables perhaps?”“I have none; the stable keepers shall feed Lansten and I have done enough practice with the sword for today. In fact I’m quite exhausted. No I shall retire to my room early this evening but first I can escort you to your destination.”“Alright,” Briel smiled and they left the hall together.Having been preoccupied in her conversation with Jem, Briel had not noticed her younger brother had returned to the table a few seats down from where he had been seated earlier. He had returned to procure a few treacle tarts to give to his pet imp-dragon Brarn for a treat and some to keep for himself. Zeth, who had not been paying much attention, now noticed Airane had left the hall as well and few courtiers remained seated at the table.“Are those two courting?” a soft voice asked. Zeth turned to see a beautiful young Fay with bright blue eyes, pale skin and dark cascading hair smiling at him.“Who? Briel and Jem? No, they’re just friends. I think they might like to be someday though. Right now they’re both too dedicated to their studies and duties as Wizardess and Knight to be caught up in even thinking of liking one another. They’ve been friends for years but of course they can’t help but grow up and start acting differently of course. Her doing her hair all the time and he constantly smiling in her presence. They may not know it yet but I see it. It may happen… Time shall tell,” Zeth explained.“Ah yes. That is quite a bit of complicated matter for two people. Then again I suppose not everyone has it as simple as our people do –most of the time.” She smiled.Zeth smiled back and then squinted at her. “You’re name’s not um, Kaëytriah –or Kaëyt; excuse me if I’m getting it wrong.”“Why yes? How do you know me?” she asked in surprise.“Well, I believe you met my friend Erod the other day in the market. He told us about you today.”“Oh. Yes the sorcerer! And what did he say?” she asked with a smile.“Uuum just that he met you in the market there and he was, uh really intrigued by you. He’s never really met a Fay before,” Zeth told her. “Excuse me if this is, well, improper in formal speech or what have you but I do believe he’d like to see you again…”“He would?” Kaëyt almost seemed to blush in her tone. “Well perhaps we shall meet again. You are Zeth?” she asked.“Yes, I’m a wizard –pleasure to meet you.”“And same to you!” she agreed, “Tell your friend Erod I shall enjoy to see him again. Perhaps at the banquet,” she suggested. Zeth grinned sheepishly. She sure was beautiful. “Yesh, I mean, uh yes. Yes I will!”Kaëyt smiled and then looked to her right where the remaining Fay delegates were rising from the table. “I’m afraid I must depart. Pleasure once more to make your acquaintance. I hope to meet again!” she bowed her head slightly in respect and he did the same. “If you’ll excuse me,” she appealed and he rose with her to bow in farewell. As Zeth watched her walk away, he grinned. If Erod truly spent even just part of the evening of the banquet with her, it would probably be the best thing that had ever happened to any one of them. And he remembered Androth’s words about if she introduced them to any of her Fay friends. Zeth was besotted already just at the thought. In the name of Arthur’s sister Morgan he thought please, please let us –let Erod have something between them! I would do anything! Anything!
