This is the beginning of the peak for me, I've always loved post-apocalyptic stuff, but this theme specifically is my favorite; e.g. the nomad, the wanderer, etc.

For as brutal as this show is, I think they drew the line at killing babies/toddlers even if they were walkers. They may do it off screen but not on.

Part of the reason story-wise that we haven't seen baby or toddler walkers is that they're the most small and vulnerable and also the noisiest. They would be eaten first, either by their parents who turned or by walkers or predators that killed their parents first.

I just think of that bloody/gore soaked car seat T-Dogg saw on the highway at the beginning of season two—there is such a big reason why we don't see it. There usually isn't enough left to become reanimated. :( But your second point also stands too. They're the most vulnerable so they're easier to "dispose" of whether by walker or predator that killed their parents or their parents doing the mercy route.
