If you notice Valarr has the same eyes (heterochromia) and same streak of silver as Baelor 🥺 that’s actually kinda how Rhaenys in HotD’s hair is supposed to look but I think her hair was said to be darker. Also Rowan is the whore (for a lack of better words) from the first few episodes.

Aegon (Egg) is always lying lol 😂 gotta love him tho. I honestly feel really bad for Maekar , his sons are always causing him stress even to his last scene in the season and you can tell he really loves his family like understanding why Egg wanted to kill Aerion but instead of scolding him , he comforts him instead, I also get why he doesn’t want him to just run off with Dunk especially since he saw Dunk fight last episode and knows he lacks training so I get why he doesn’t completely trust him with as he said “his last son”.

Also to be fair to Maeker (I’m still mad at him for using excessive force to save evil son 😤)….but imagine having his kids….I too, would’ve been irritated at everyone like he was in the first few eps. Like I don’t think he was being “dragon”, more so pompous & moody. 😩 He does really love his family tho and I’m glad we got to see that.

I'm 💯% Maekar killed Baelor. They did say it poetically tho - Baelar died for Dunk though.

Huh? His son was about to be killed and it was in the heat of the moment, Maekar loves his brother but when your father instincts kick in , that’s what happens and Baelor is one of my favourite characters but Maekar and him had a really good relationship , it was a mistake, he hit to hard when trying to save his son. Not sure how you could hate him for that.

That scene with Ser Arlan and Dunk when he asked why he never knighted him. That wasn't a memory, that was Dunk trying to internally find closure and an admittance to something hinted at the whole time. Dunk was never properly knighted by Ser Arlan. He'd lied.

It was 100% a memory and the show runners already said it was put in to add more ambiguity to weather Dunk was knighted or not. You are meant to see it as confirmation he was not, then when you see Arlan is not dead and wakes up, you don't know if he knighted him after.

Hmm. Must’ve read that wrong. Like I know part of it was a memory like Arlan telling a story. But him dozing off “dead” and resuming and Dunk asking him why he never was knighted. That I’m pretty sure wasn’t a memory.

Love it that Rowan the prostitute hooks up with the naive and sweet Raymun, he's so gullible and sheltered he believes she's already pregnant with his son. Can't blame her for trying for a better life by becoming Lady Fossaway! Love it that Dunk knows who and what she really is and says nothing, treats her respectfully. After all, Dunk came to the tournament looking to come up as well. That moment of solidarity between these two low born people was a nice touch. So many small details perfectly done. This show is PEAK! Every scene with Maekar was perfection. The whole cast is fantastic. Incredible how this series managed to deliver so many compelling and beloved characters in 6 short episodes.

Memory or not, Dunk was absolutely NOT knighted. This is not a spoiler, the show is far more explicit about that fact (in that scene) that the books ever were. Dunk is not officially a knight. But like the Hound and Brienne (who were not knights either), he has infinitely more honor than actual knights. It's a recurring theme in this world.

People have been spreading wild lies about this story and making definitive claims about stuff that has absolutely never been said, or the opposite has been said. Its been very strange to see.
