Crispy Cole died so others could fail worse than him.

Even though Criston Cole was not my favorite character, in terms of moral grounding. I was taken back by him accepting his death. Yes we can all throw all his mistakes at him, but he knew his role in the game and accepted it. Respect. Not delusional just living his path.

Alicent could’ve married Helaena to Jace back in season 1 . Helaena liked Jace and described Rhaenyra’s sons as “always kind” . It would’ve been perfect for her, but Alicent was being petty and resented Rhaenyra at the time . She made Helaena marry Aegon because she was sold on undermining Rhaenyra and usurping her at the time . She put her own desires above what was best for her children ! Another lie by Alicent, it was not preferred by Otto. It was her choice she made for Helaena

I’m glad Cole went out with no glory. Exactly what he deserved!!

Coles character was very well done. Part of you hates him & the other part is tragic and you pity him. He is a cautionary tale instead of "the greatest warrior" which was possible if he never slept with Rheanrya
