Hey everyone,

Unfortunately, we have some bad news to share.

During development, Necro made a mistake while working with Git, the version control system we use to keep backups of the project.

For those unfamiliar with Git, think of it as a way to create "save points" for the game's development. It lets us safely experiment, revert mistakes, and keep a history of versions.

The problem is... sometimes mistakes happen before those save points are created.

🙃 The Issue

Necro had been working for several weeks without pushing his latest changes to git. Just as he was about to back everything up, he ran into a merge conflict between different versions of the project.

The result is that around four to five weeks of programming work disappeared locally.

Needless to say, everyone was pretty devastated.

✨ Not everything is lost!

The good news is that we still have a stable version from several weeks ago, and all of the writing, artwork, backgrounds, animations, and other assets are completely safe.

Right now, Necro was able to recover most of the work through the stashes he had done with git, and whatever can't be recovered will have to be reimplemented.

He believes after everything, this will set us back around 1 to 2 weeks. On the bright side, we might be able to squeeze in a bit more content while the programming catches up.

We'll do everything we can to get back on track as quickly as possible! Thank you for understanding.
