Happy Monday Klaire, how you finding bb overall? 2 seasons down, after meeting Saul you think you'll watch better call Saul they are almost as good if not better in some ways it's obviously gonna have mix opinions but I love better call Saul so much: :)

You've probably seen the 9 seasons thing for Peep Show as that has 9 seasons, so may be thinking of that. Season 5 of BB was released in two parts with nearly a year in between each part so it kinda felt like 6 seasons (and the wait was unbearable lol)

Better Call Saul goes into Saul’s backstory and the backstory of a few characters you will meet in Breaking Bad. The majority of BCS is set chronologically before the events of BB but it makes sense to watch it after BB. There’s also a movie called El Camino which directly follows the final episode of BB. If you are going to watch all of the Breaking Bad universe then I would definitely recommend watching it in this order; 1. Breaking Bad 2. El Camino 3. Better Call Saul

Better Call Saul is a prequel show, which tells the story of Jimmy McGill a struggling lawyer and it tells the story of how he eventually becomes the character of Saul Goodman that we see in episode 8 of Breaking Bad. It is an incredible show, If you enjoyed the humour of Saul Goodman which it looks like you did then i think you will enjoy it. I highly recommend you watch it after you finish Breaking Bad.

It’s not as highly rated as BB and BCS (they are really highly rated tbf) but it still has 7.2/10 rating on IMDB and a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. It ties up the story nicely and is worth watching imo. Its also only a movie so its about the same length of one of these double episode videos you’re doing atm

Oh absolutely, after I had watched both shows for the first time, I then rewatched them later on with my parents as they had never seen them. First BB and then BCS (as without giving any spoilers, I definitely think you need to watch all of BB before watching BCS) But anyway after showing my parents both shows, my mum said afterwards that she preferred BCS to BB, even though she loved both shows. But yeah as I say, I highly recommend watching Better Call Saul and I look forward to continuing watching your reactions to the rest of Breaking Bad.

I think the top 4 are GoT, BB, BCS and the Sopranos. I keep changing my mind on which is my favourite among them

bit random, but this series is even better with a subwoofer system. I used to have a logitech GZ906 when I watched BB. When a car pulls up, or they're outdoors and you hear the sound of crickets, you feel it, like you're there. Ie the set/location is half the series. I sold that system, it took up too much space and was gathering dust, but it just doesn't hit the same with a headset. This applies to Better Call Saul too. That explosion scene in the previous ep, was spectacular when I watched it because of the sound system. other series i watched at the time like GoT and Boardwalk Empire didn't have that same auditory depth either. There's less focus on the location itsef. Ozark is similar to BB ie the set/location is half the series. i wish I had kept the sound system just for Ozark but i wasn't to know.
