I love your responses … I can assure you the envelope continues to get pushed further & further … enjoy!

Charlie

From what I remember, Barney was actually supposed to be Sophie's weird brother Jamie, but the actor wasn't available because he was pursuing a career as an actual musician. Hans and Jeremy's band is basically a microcosm of the music industry, actually: a lot of exploitative contracts, intense pressure and sucking off, ultimately culminating in disappointment, drug abuse and mental illness.

Scott Jones

Did you ever see Matt King as ‘Super Hans’ on tour? It was a very amusing show, he performed various music from the show and the long note of ‘dread’ 😂

When you come to England you should try some real deal scones with clotted cream and jam with your afternoon tea.i don’t think you have clotted cream in America, but I think you’ll like it.

Michael

I don't really understand everyone's hostility towards Mark at work. We as the audience know that Mark was trying to get out of the wedding. But as far as the attendees saw they got married and Sophie was the one that ran off on Mark

Shaun Stonard

You should watch some of David Mitchell’s (Mark) stuff outside of peep show. He’s really funny on Cats does Countdown

Wayne

We got tickets but got drunk beforehand and ended up just staying at the bar, bad call

Charlie

Being caught hiding from his own wedding probably didn’t endear him to many people.

Alan

Towards the end of Season five is the best, the episodes just get better. In fact the aftermath of season five, picking up the pieces of what happened in season five, is the best. So somewhere in season six, (S6E2 to be precise, I just checked).

Alan

but do NOT look at the titles until you watch each episode.

Wayne

This is my favourite peep show episode full stop I think pretty much every scene is kind of classic, even down to Johnson and Jeff’s short appearances

Steven Sjosten

I so need personal cheese in my life 🤔🤣

Jára Zimmerman

Glad to see you've warmed to this show so much! You resisted at first, but now you're really embracing the degeneracy aka totally normal British behaviour.

david h

you should watch Would I lie to You for more David Mitchell. But yes he is that weird in normal life

Jay

Clearly a lot less socially awkward than Mark though.

Charlie

Channeling his inner My Bloody Valentine with the note of dread, love it.

Michael

That was a stag thing... and it really worked everyone was so surprised

Lemuel Rodriguez Jr.

yeah it's very clear in his mannerisms. If this were an American show, they would've just recasted him instead of introducing a cousin.

7 minutes in heaven with Dobby? sounds like every IT guy's fantasy lmao

klaire

oh boy cats?? the musical

Shaun Stonard

No 😂 There’s a comedy panel show in the UK called “8 out of 10 cats does countdown” and they have different comedians on each week, with Jimmy Carr as the host. David Mitchell is often on there and he’s hilarious (and not too different from Mark Corrigan)

Dave

It's hard to watch David Mitchell in other shows without thinking of Mark, but it does seem to work well for him tbf lol

James

David Mitchell is kind of a legend in UK comedy. You should look up some of the panel shows he does, 8 out of 10 cats is really good. Although Sean Locke is even better if you look up that show. Lots of YouTube clips people tend to react to.

Megatron

Peep Show is so rewatchable. When my mate rented my spare room a few years ago we used to watch it on repeat. We were pretty drunk and high a lot of the time though. Ahhh good times. 😌

Adam

I hate Sophie

Nathan Dickson

You asked about the actor who plays Mark. If you want more exposure to the brilliant and funny David Mitchell, you can watch the sketch shows "That Mitchell and Webb Look" and "The Mitchell and Webb Situation," most of which you can find on YouTube, including the now super-famous and oft-quoted "Are We the Baddies?" sketch (https://youtu.be/h242eDB84zY?si=i9ritidZUOmB35Ty). Mark is a staple of the popular British panel show "Would I Lie To You?" and is in the new Sherlock Holmes-style series "Ludwig."
