Does the patreon player not have any video quality settings? It looks locked to 720p instead of 1080p. I'm on PC with a super-fast fibre connection btw.

that shit is wild bro. limited to 5-6 hours LOL. ain't no way kol can watch all of this shit that's coming in january. this january is one of, when not even the most packed season i've ever seen. even when kol starts immediately with anime and reduces the news, he won't be able to meet this time limit lol.

I think KOL is overestimating how many streams he does. 3 streams a week, 4 weeks is 28 days, so 3x4 is 12 streams + 1 more for the extra 2 days of the month descrepncy and you have 100/13=7.69(lol) hours per stream. So KOL and we are good unless I’m missing something 😌🙏

7.69 hours per stream uufff. the thing ist that when jjk, frieren, hells paradise, fire force or vigilante coming out kol will just pausing too much lol. even when kol said he tries to take fewer pausing/breaks, i don't really believe it. it's precisely the thinking and short analyses that many users like about kol and the pure mass of anime that's coming out soon makes that impossible if he wants/needs to stick to the 5 or 6 hour limit. even if he splits it all up into 3 streams per week (does golden kamuy count ? lol), no way kol can do that, especially when you include other series that aren't even anime. he can manage a 5 hour stream here and there but no way that shit will be anything permanent, especially from january onwards.

You stream 3 times a week, 4 weeks a month, that's 12 times. 100 hours divided by 12 is 8.3 hours per stream. As far as I know, the read throughs are just Vods from YouTube.

KOL the video quality is a huge problem, I am on my computer and the max quality is like 720 but when a lot of stuff is going on the screen its like 420p

you're just exaggerating for no reason, the biggest problem's with vimeo are solved by a simple refresh or having to be 1 show behind which is not that bad.

just want to say vimeo was peak and patreon live is trash i cant even rewind in middle of a stream to see the reactions i missd now i have ot wait til after vod is uploaded to catch up.... why is it every new decision youve made since leaving d live made it harder for people like us to enjoy we tollerate so much crap and support you even when you price hike everything and keep them high after leaving vimeo

Bro I was just praising that one cat in the previous chat thread that did a super detailed write up of the pros and cons of the Patreon streaming experience, as soon as I got done the damn video quality dropped (it was definitely below 720p because I came back to continue it now and the quality is back up lol) and I noticed I had no video player control to toggle between the quality settings, I would be so pissed if playback speed controls were missing lmao.

@The Caped Baldy Brotha I agree 1,000% — there's just NO friggin' way he'll condense THAT MUCH content into 5 hour streams, especially when you factor in the 30 - 60 minutes news segments, pausing and analysis, on top of TV shows that have hour+ episodes lmao. Even with no news like you said there's still the mixture of long TV series' episodes to contend with plus the sheer volume of anime flooding in next year! He would have to cut the news, cut the live action content, and control pausing for analysis considerably; good luck to KOL and the mods attempting to rack their brains around streamlining all of that efficiently lol.

@memes4You Correction... you've been using it "no problem 4+ years" lol. Although I would say it was pretty solid in most areas and definitely was more complete feature wise, it was glitchy af whenever I would click the timeline to move it forwards or backwards to jump to another show or another point within the current show. It was a massive delay between pressing it and when the stream/VOD would begin playing again, there's also the massive discord chat relay response time that Vimeo was clearly inferior on. They both have their own strengths and drawbacks, he just has to weigh the pros and cons based on his schedule, stream goals, and overall enjoyment factor.

@memes4You Let us also not forget the voluminous amount of complaints from boundless users about Vimeo streams and VODs crashing abruptly at various times during playback, which I also experienced lol.

yeah we all experienced it but it was nothing more then like a 20 minute lil wait and you can catch the show if it was 1-2 ahead/behind. And lets be real if you wanted to watch kols reactions for his chat then join the discord and be there yourself. you cant replay anything with this new patreon stream and it takes away all the freedom of being paying patron user. this is not a subscription for a twitch stream that i have to catch live 30 minutes before, this is something i pay for that i can watch on my own leisure, or have ATLEAST a 1-2 hour buffer where i can tune in. the difference is too big and the quality is just worse.
