Haha no, just been sick and struggling through some serious brain fog the past week and a half 😂 Particularly after ep 2, didn't want to go into this series with only half my brain cells lol

People keep saying Seth has lil redemption arc, since he vanished from the game after sandwiches, but I say it was just a ruse to get the gays out of Jackson ;)

I totally get what you mean about unsubtle so far and I fear this is the storytellers backpedalling after the extremely vocal reactions to the way the game handled this part of the story. It was a lot more subtle, left a lot more open to interpretation and drip fed the answers throughout the 30+ hours of gameplay. That resulted in a lot of people dropping the game before getting those answers. For a TV series, if they want to retain viewership, I suppose they have to do things in a lot less subtle manner. But I'm glad you're feeling better!

The fact that Dina says "You'll shoot your damn ass off" just like Joel said to Ellie in Season 1 Episode 4. Just makes me think at some point Dina put a gun in the back of her pants when she was on patrol with Joel and he said that line to her and it stuck. And that just makes me smile. I played the game, so it's hard for me to know if they are being obvious or if I just know what's coming. Interesting to see it from someone who doesn't know any of what's going to happen. If they had followed the game, and not told us who Abby was, or why she killed Joel, I think the viewers would be left with a feeling of "well what if they come back to do it again", leaving the viewer to be more on the side of Seth/Ellie. "We need to go after them so they get justice and don't come back and do it again." Even though none of the characters in Jackson know why Joel was killed, the viewer does, and I think that weakens the story a bit. They obviously changed it so we could sympathize with Abby, but I'm not sure that was the right decision.

I agree with the hard to see the obvious. Played the game too. So it doesn't feel like they are not being subtle to me. But I can totally see how that is how people can feel. I can't wait till we are done and can compare game with adaptation cause there is sooooooooo much i want to say but don't want to risk spoilers.
