On this edition of our Star Wars Gleep Glossary, we're talking about a true OG from the prequels, the one and only Nute Gunray!

Considering the current state of things, should we all write an apology letter to George and tell him he was right all along about the Trade Federation, such as it is? But maybe we should also ask why an entire film studio thought that Nute's VoiceOver work was deemed acceptable? And, good lord, George, that was the inspiration for Nute's name?

Gleep Glossary: A Star Wars Story is a show where the guys try to honor the history and legacy of Star Wars characters, most of whom we've been told don't matter anymore!

Thank you for being so incredible by continuing to support this weird, wild adventure we're on! You make this all possible! We know you have lots of options when choosing which pods you listen to and we very much appreciate you carving out some time for us!

"Sorry, Modi". Typical Szyszka with his trademark geopolitical zingers! 😂

YES! Have been waiting for this since this week's emailed Patreon drop. One of the best of the snide snhnows. Time for a tall glass of bubbling water and my four (probly) favorite guys discussing One of my favorite IPs! ... mostly. :)

MarkNM

Ah yes, the nefarious Fu Manchu of Star Wars. Which really should have surprised no one, coming from the mastermind behind Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

MarkNM

Apologies if this is mentioned in the episode, I just woke up.

Dr. Poole

I feel it should be noted in the Revenge of the Sith novelization, when Gunray tells Anakin (now Vader) that Sidious promised them peace, Anakin drops the line, "The message was garbled, he said you would be left in pieces."

Gleep Jr. is what I'm calling Animation Damnation from now on.

Patrick caddy

This episode is just the boys trading porn like 1980s children

Dennis C

Eric, have you decided to go to the Star Trek convention for Hooked on TJ Hooker?

Benjamin Midkiff

Eric, I, too, also got an Xbox so that I could mod Skyrim. Also PS5s are too damned expensive.

I.C. Weiner

Eric, Ahmed Best is an actor and performance director in the Xbox game South of Midnight. I think you're the only one with an Xbox so I figured I would pass along that information (you can also skip combat in that game). Andrew, I played Outlaws when it came out and lost 10 hours of progress due to a bug, I hope it is better now.

Lance Flexington

I found "sexy neimoidian" images on imperialshipyards.net, whatever the hell that is. And I loved every second of your political talk, the CHUDs might whine about it but why do they even listen to the show

Brendan Kneeland

I seem to recall (and I won’t look it up don’t take this away from me!) that the Bush admin was talking about making Giuliani the “Viceroy of Iraq” and they were inspired to the title from Star Wars

Also dudes, I think that the very fact that Andrew Shue is in 'The Rainmaker' needs to by itself catapult it into Stay Tuned status. As a bonus, there's also some top tier Mickey Rourke going on in that movie.

Les Whinen

Eric, please stream playing your modded Skyrim. I dont watch video games streams but would watch that

Jason

In honor of Eric's poor-taste puns we all love: Nut Gonnaspray.

I think I remember Eric saying somewhere he thought this was one of the best eps of the Gleep Glossary and I couldn’t agree more. Laughed my ass off.

Craig

Classic episode. I did revisit the prequels recently and they are … almost good. Essentially a good story, badly told and victims of many bafflingly wrong decisions. If only George had stuck with “story by”.

Steve Lyon

The jokes write themselves.

Brendan Flanagan

If you wanna see a Neimoidian in the Princess Leia space outfit Google “sexy Nute Gunray” and look in images. Not what I saw myself doing today, but there you have it.
