“This is such a choppy edit, thanks for nothing, Steven Seagal!” - Andrew

On this week’s show, we’re bringing “White Guy Karate” Month to a close with a banger conversation on the outrageous Steven Seagal film, Out for Justice!

How hilarious is Seagal’s Brooklyn accent? What is this outfit he’s wearing at the start of the picture? Was Seagal dubbed for the Italian dialogue? Were John Leguizamo’s scenes deleted? And should Gino have left that dog in the car the whole film? PLUS: Visit the all-new fast food sensation, Fuck Burger!

Out for Justice stars Steven Seagal, William Forsyth, Jerry Orbach, Jo Champa, Shareen Mitchell, Gina Gershon, Julianna Margulies, John Leguizamo, Raymond Cruz, and Dominic Chianese as Mr. Madano; directed by John Flynn.

“Maron!” -Seagal

John Halski

This should be about a rogue vigilante who comes out of the closet to rid the streets of homophobes.

David

I kinda love this one - just a street level, down and dirty action flick. And Seagal pretending to be Italian is the cherry on top

Heath Smith

Rewatching now, and I forgot about that damn beret.

Papa Taylor

I was 18 on the streets living in a condemned house and we had the Steven Seagal dvd collection and I can say it was honestly the lowest point of my life, this movie didn’t make that situation better. Lol

Darryl Bowen

As a kid I would get candy cigarettes and root beer in a bottle that looked like a beer bottle and pretend I was smoking and drinking. It pissed my mom off every time

WarOfTheBees

Prepped for this by inviting an actress over to my house at midnight to audition for a role.

Eren Keskin

William Forsythe is like an eviler Eric taking souls

Matt

William Forsythe in this looks like Wario

Matt

I am really happy you are in a better place now but I'm sorry I'm imagining a condemned house that just comes with a Segal DVD collection and I am giggling like an idiot

Rose Esposito

"I learned to honk from YOUR FATHER!" made me laugh out loud. Commentary on Unhinged whennnnn???? EDIT: I didn't even realize that was Dominic Chianese! Definitely the best non-ridiculous performance in the whole thing. I found myself thinking of Peter O'Toole in Troy -- quite a dumb movie, but he finds a little gravitas in there.

Matt

Wild road rage story. Thankfully didn't turn into a Forsythe siutation. Years ago pulled up to a light behind some type of service van, and a guy in a pickup truck. It was after class and I was on my way to my gf's house at the time so maybe like 4pm on a Tuesday? They were having some kind of disagreement. Suddenly the doors fly open and these two are chest to chest. The only way I can describe it is a full on "hockey fight". Each with a fistful of the other's coat in their left hand, and wailing punches with the right. These two did this until the lights turned green, stopped, said a couple "fuck yous" and got back in their vehicles and left. I sat there absolutely fucking dumbfounded.

Ed Harris

Might be the best Seagal movie outside of Under Siege.

Jonnie Sea

Yes! GET EM STICKS! my friends and I used to say that all the time and completely free of context!

Joe Wright

I’ve been trying to think of who Forsythe reminded me of all day and it just hit me: when One Man Gang become Akeem.

Tim O'

Eyes of Jerry Orbach would be a fascinating sequel to Eyes of Laura Mars

Tim O'

[ABBA vocals] Don't look into his Orbach eyes!

Vōclō

“God has a strange sense of humor” - I wouldn’t have pegged Steven Seagal as a Depeche Mode fan…. (Yeah, the song is “sick sense of humour,” but, still!)

Christopher Oxentine

One of the henchmen he picks up under the bridge looks like Mike Golic.

John Halski

Same sentiment and I hope your life has only gotten better since then. I’m also imagining Seagal visited for a charity photo-op and his only actual gesture to the kids in need is to leave them with a collection of his movies.

Ray

I was under the impression that William Forsyth was smoking weed throughout this whole thing and he just was not taking it well lol or they just didn't know what a crack pipe was.

Tony King

With his hairstyle and moustache I definitely thought he looked a bit like a dark-haired Eric!

Tim Batson

What does Segal have on Eric??

Chris Tobias

What about Jackie Jan for a theme month and do a bunch of Jackie Chan movies in which his character name is Jackie.

Matt

I just want you to know that SOMEONE really appreciates this reference

Frank Grimes

If you liked the two part Dollop about Seagal, they got a lot of that info from a podcast called Behind the Bastards (who the Dollop did a crossover episode with) and the Bastards pod on Seagal is 3 parts. Surprise! Seagal is a huge piece of shit.

James Bergquist

Bros... There has to be a *Unhinged* I love movies or a commentary!! It was fucking bananas😎😊

James Bergquist

I was a special guest on this episode but they cut me out. I showed them all up😉😎

James Bergquist

I live in Georgia. Will a Fuckburger come here? I'd love some doggy style tots

James Bergquist

12 count of Backshots for the table, please?

Busiris

There's mention of the movie being a mix of real New York and Los Angeles posing as New York and I can confirm that right at the VERY start of the movie where you can see the building that is used as the exterior for Paddy's Pub in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Kemper

Speaking of candy cigarettes- I encountered one in the wild for the first time in decades recently. The wife & I went to a fancy cocktail bar that was doing a Valentine's Day thing. I ordered a smokey bourbon drink they called Cigarettes After Sex. It was served with a candy cigarette on a small plate with burnt sugar that looked like ashes. It looked real enough that I started getting nostalgic for my smoking days. 🚬 Oh, and the candy cigars were made out of bubble gum back in the day.

Dennis Stack

First, Vin Diesel's club thumper tune and now, Steven Seagal's reggae jam 😂 We Hate Movies, your number one source for songs you didn't know existed but are glad they do 🤣

Tim O'

To wear to church

Sonya Ballantyne

I was cackling at Steve's Segal impression, 'And he put up his hand to say "i hear you and I am working on it" and then she continued to honk afterwards?'

D Arthur

The dancehall song is entitled “Strut”. Segal is doing an accent. The beat is lowkey 🔥.

Kureigu

Here in the uk. The candy cigarettes i used to get as a kid were chocolate wrapped in paper, came in a paper cigarettes pack with foil lining.

Brett Chatfield

Fuck Burger: “would you like a single or double fisted?”
