Hey gang, don't forget to vote in this latest poll to decide what we're covering in Scaredy Cats IV this summer! Vote now!

Like we mentioned at the end of Scaredy Cats III, after a righteous chat about Russell Crowe in The Pope's Exorcist, Scaredy Cats IV is going to fall right at the tail-end of our Summer Blockbuster Extravaganza, so we thought what better way to keep the blockbuster fun going over here on Scaredy Cats than to offer up two entries from two MASSIVE horror franchises?!

So, before the poll closes, be sure to cast your vote for Scaredy Cats IV and which film we'll be covering. Will it be the first entry in the eerie, hyper-successful monster franchise, John Krasinski's A Quiet Place from 2018?

Or will you ask us to descend into total madness and select the FIFTH entry in the unstoppable possession franchise, Lee Cronin's terrifying 2023 high rise-set flick, Evil Dead Rise?

Vote now and tell us scaredy cats what to watch!

Frank Grimes

a toughie...both are great contenders

Tony King

This is a tough choice, as I really like both of them.

RJ Cunningham

Two movies made to be the “no” choice for polls like these

Chris

Evil Dead Rise is the better movie but Quiet Place lets WHM bag on John Krasinski for 2 hours 🤔

Chris

I had requested A Quiet Place for an LRM a few years ago because I hate that movie so much but had to vote Evil Dead this time!

Matzar

EDR is perfect for Scaredy Cats, yo!

Ryan Petkau

I can only hope that this can lead to WLM on Evil Dead 2 or Army of Darkness.

Alison Calloway

I didn't like either one, but we need to talk about how STUPID everyone in A Quiet Place is.

Happy Panda One

JK is a charisma event horizon as an actor where audience interest disappears into a fucking void.

Barista Bran

I've seen A Quiet Place twice and that's probably enough. I've seen Evil Dead Rise once and would love a good reason to rewatch that

Busiris

I think the previous polls were more-or-less easy decisions, in my opinion. This is the first time where I was honestly so conflicted. Both are ripe for pretty hilarious episodes. Had to give it to Evil Dead Rise though because it's overall the one that I think could have the most to talk about. I only saw it once but I'm *still* thinking about the cheese grater. 😭

Rose Esposito

EDR is not my type of thing, but also it seems more outrageous and intense and therefore more ripe for jokes (imo).

Laurie

Its a good excuse to watch the new Evil Dead. As a big fan of Campbell, I was not sure whether id get around to it, but this has convinced me

Eren Keskin

Felipe will have a ball drawing deadites so Evil Dead Rise it is

Rob Perry

I really enjoyed Evil Dead Rise, but there is plenty there to have some fun with.

Adam Ray

Evil Dead Rise was my pick because it will be kind of like a continuation of Remakeril. And also follows the same theme as last week's episode Robocop 2014, where here's a remake that barely has a clue as to what the tone of the movie they're remaking was.

Cromulentius

Saying that Rises is an Evil Dead film is like calling Fanta orange juice. Not saying it's bad, just that the connection is in name only. It really feels like it started out as its own thing, but, to have any hope of getting funding they had to staple on the IP after the fact.

Alex

It's okay to like a movie... but Evil Dead Rise just did every single thing wrong for me as a horror flick. I really don't understand the gushing love for it.

Edmund Lewis

Y’all should do “A Quiet Place” and “Bird Box” on the same episode. You can call it the “You Can only Survive the Demons by pretending to be Deaf & Blind-Double Feature”
