On this edition of our Star Wars Gleep Glossary, we're chatting about the classic character from Return of the Jedi, Moff Tiaan Jerjerrod!

Famously played by late actor, Michael Pennington, Tiaan Jerjerrod initially set out to be a starship designer and architect. Our dude even did some work with the original Death Star's construction. And because of that work, he eventually wound up getting a command job on the Second Death Star. And, yeah, after getting wrapped up in all that, he done got blowed up by the rebellion in that Second Death Star at the end of Return of the Jedi.

Gleep Glossary: A Star Wars Story is a show where the guys try to honor the history and legacy of Star Wars characters, most of whom we've been told don't matter anymore!

Thank you for being so incredible and continuing to support this weird, wild adventure we're on! You make this all possible! We know you have lots of options when choosing which pods you listen to and we very much appreciate you carving out some time for us!

All right! I love a good Moff dive.

Barista Bran

Great outro, Gleep Master! I can only be soothed by Temuera Morrison grunts

Jason

This character name looks like Eric was posting the episode and had a stroke.

MarkNM

He had a twin sibling named Tamaraan.

Moff Tiaan Sam Gerard: “The emperor’s coming, men! Let’s pick up the jack-jack-jack-jack-jack-jack-jack-jack-jack-jack…” #Volcano

Brent Cowan

When the second Death Star was destroyed, Sheila was devastated at the loss of the Emperor and Vader, but for Jerjerrod she only felt pity and a sense of relief…

WarOfTheBees

Can we get some tamaraan for the table, please?

Jason

I’ll have the Tamaraan margarita on the rocks.

Matt

Whoa Black Betty, Tamaraan

Busiris

Can confirm: The Jango Fett soundboard is still hilarious. It's sort of akin to that saying I've heard from Conan O'Brien where he talks about always trying to make a joke that goes on for so long that it stops being funny but then it just *keeps going* and it becomes funny again.

Kevin Lynch

I thought they might’ve had him survive, because at the end of Jedi you can see him(or someone that looks like him) trying to flee the exploding Death Star part 2. There was some speculation that he escaped back in the day

RJ Cunningham

He just had to be Mr. Big and get blown up in a space station

StylinGreymon

damn, those last 30 seconds had me howling

Eren Keskin

No dipping sauces are allowed in the chicken planet though I’m afraid

Craig

Right, yeah there are those Imperials running out as Luke drags Darth’s body along, aren’t there? It always stood out to me that no one goes to help Vader at that point. The underlings must be thinking “f—- that guy” at that stage!

Craig

Yub nub!

Smaug

My god, long live the Jango Fett grunts. That shit is hilarious

Massey and Graham

Coatee cha tu goo (Yub nub!), coatee cha tu doo (Yahwah!), coatee cha tu too (Ya chaa!)

Billie Jackson

Very underwhelming hollow earth food court area as a result. Utterly sauceless.

John Edwards

Apropos of nothing, Raised By Wolves is worth a look if you haven't seen it yet. It's some evocatively strange scifi from Rotten Rid, although it sadly fell victim to the classic TV blunder of setting up a complicated mystery plot that it didn't get the seasons to fully tell.
