On the first part of our massive, three-part conversation on Zack Snyder's Justice League, the guys kick off what turned out to be a four-hour recording session! In Part 1, they address the toxicity and entitlement of The Fandom, what Darkseid's posse could've looked like, why villagers would sing a song to a sweater, Steppenwolf's new voice modulation sounding like a broken Wendy's drive-thru radio, the removal of "Icky Thump", that Star Labs janitor's beefier role, and much, much more! Thanks so much for supporting our Patreon endeavor. Be sure to tune in on Wednesday, March 24 for the second part of this journey!Original cover art by Felipe Sobreiro.

Thank you guys! Just made my work day better!

I really dug this movie alot but I'm still psyched to hear you probably tear it apart. An MCU movie on the main feed is long overdue, lots of possibilities there.

Frank Grimes

Way better than wheldon's red tinted mess

A UFO Party

Can't believe you're finally talking about Zack Snyder's Return of the King!

The Minimal Nerd

I think I'm going to like these 3 episodes more than Blame it on Rio, SWAT and After Earth. Thanks to the gang for posting this!

Nathan M

I liked it and I'm totally down in hearing my four favorites dissect to all hell.

Bless your hearts, it's ok to like a movie. Slightly better than Whedon but I think this might be my new "The Room" with how confusingly bad some of the directorial decisions are. And this sepia soup (soupia?!) that he shoots his gd movies through...makes me want to rip the arm off the chair I'm sitting in.

Maybe for We Love Movies month :)

I think deep inside the Snyder cut there may have been a good movie but its a bloated mess. For every good addition there felt like 5 things that were just unneeded. I think a good editor could take this cut and Whedons and put together a pretty fun 2 and a half hour movie but both movies would need to shed a lot of baggage,

I am getting real season 4 of Battlestar Galactica vibes from this ep. Everyone is tired and needs 12 hours sleep and a breakfast burrito

Nah. There's so many Marvel and MCU movies just begging for the WHM treatment.

Derek Detzler

How far in the movie do they make it? I don't wanna listen and spoil this (possible) dumpster fire.

I finished my first night of watching at about an hour fifty when part 4 was starting and It dawned on me that this is not a movie. Movies require editing, making specific choices, and a narrative focus of some kind. There seems to be no editing beyond cutting to different angles, it seems like Snyder made all the choices everywhere, and I genuinely think the only character who has a story arc is Cyborg. The Snyder Cut feels like content to me in every way imaginable. Superhero stuff wrapped in an apocalypse burrito.

A UFO Party

Iron Man 2 for sure has to be a stay tuned

Paul

There was a moment during the final boss battle that I felt like the movie was redeeming itself a bit (you know that part when the Flash was talking to his dad in his head and he was moving light speed or whatever...that was cool) but then they added 30 more minutes after the final battle! That epilogue was obnoxious.

DC head reporting that Darkseid is indeed the original and Thanos is the knock off. When Jim Starlin was creating Thanos and his crew, his editor was like “if you’re going to rip off The New Gods make sure you include the best one” and we got Thanos. Great round up on a terrible terrible movie.

meowmers

It's always interesting to see a movie with everything in it and it's obvious why stuff was removed, like the Donnie Darko Director's Cut.

Maggie0401

Wow. You guys really didn't like it, did you? This is not the first time our opinions have differed. But, you know what? It's okay not to like a movie. 🤪 Actually, you've given us eleven or so years of solid entertainment thanks to that fact. Keep it coming. xx

Brian Ralli

I actually liked this a lot more than I could have imagined given how much the the theatrical version was trash. That begin said, you guys hating on it for hours and hours of podcasting is indeed a listening delight. Carry on.

Angel Young

I laughed at the "Sny-DON'T" joke harder than I expected. 😂

Jamie Hicks

Superman's mother got behind on her house payments suggesting that's she's generally fiscally irresponsible? Well I have just one piece of advice for her... "SAVE, MARTHA!"

Robert

They should’ve gotten brunch after the win

Jason

I would listen to the DC Sajdak show where it's like Gleep Glossary but Steve reading his favorite DC comic arcs
