TWISTERS (2024) FULL LENGTH MOVIE REACTION - WATCH ALONG

Comments

Mike

I didn't even realize this was out yet. I thought it was still in theaters

Ryan Liechty

As a fan of the original, I personally loved this movie, not as good as the original but still a worthy one!!

I don't know if this one made record numbers. If they don't aim to break records like Marvel did with Deadpool, these ones will go on streaming services faster. If you want a Bluray rip, you still have to wait.

I'm looking on Amazon and all I see are pre-orders. Edit: oh you can rent it for 19.99.

Thanks for this Reaction, You too - Could You consider Reacting to "SAN ANDREAS" (2015) & "The CORE" (2003)? Keep them coming :)

Stephanie

OMG! Thank you so much for your reaction to this movie. Unfortunately in my country the movie is not available yet, but as soon as it is released, I'm gonna watch it with you.😉

Some places have "fire seasons", "rainy seasons" the South has "Tornado season". From March-May. Most usually occur in April. We usually start gettnng a heads up about 24 hrs out that the conditions are right for tornadoes and to stay tuned to local weather channels or your emergency weather radio. We just stay updated on passing storms from there. In 2011 we had the largest outbreak since 1950. 62 tornadoes in 18hrs. Really appreciated our basement that night. At least 2 were EF5's. One clocked at 210 mph and carved a 132 mile path from North Alabama into Southern Tennessee. Knocked power out for days. The aftermath was awful.

If you guys are going to stay on the disaster movie run, may I suggest one of my favorite movies period - THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE (1972), starring Gene Hackman. It's produced by the great Irwin Allen. It's a yearly watch for me on New Year's Eve (it makes sense when you see the movie 😁). It's one of the few films I like more than the novel it's based on. The book is very different especially the characters, who almost all of them are just despicable people. Another good older disaster flick is the classic EARTHQUAKE (1974), starring Charlton Heston. To entice you both further, both films are scored by the legendary JOHN WILLIAMS. 😁

I second 2012, Dante's Peak, Geostorm, The Poseidon Adventure, and San Andreas. To add to them, and if you suspend some of your disbelief, Moonfall is a great conspiracy disaster film. Also, The Wave (this is Norwegian and has subtitles, so not sure if you can do it on the channel, but I highly recommend it) I am autistic and disaster movies are my safe place. When I am feeling overly anxious, I watch one to calm down. I think I have seen this one four times now and Day After Tomorrow has at least 50 watches to date. Thank you so much for doing these. Now I can rewatch all of them with you.

Another great disaster movie is San Andreas starring Dwayne Johnson.

Just saw this movie for the first time. Definitely glad I saw it. Was definitely surprised at how much I enjoyed the movie. Very much feels like an original movie, but I could definitely see aspects of the original film that didn't feel artificial, and the characters were flawed, but very much likeable and found ways to redeem themselves in ways that seemed more natural and not forced by a script. I really think all studios need to do a deep study of why this film found the success that it did and build off of it instead of trying to appease everyone to the detriment of the film itself. With regards to IRL tornadoes, the most terrifying aspect of them is when they strike at night, or in areas with high traffic around rush hour. This happened in Oklahoma some years ago with people caught in traffic on a road where a tornado touched down.

“How it Ends” (2018) is another good one.

Grimbane42

I 2nd all 3 of these, especially Dantes Peak, which has one of the dumbest deaths in a disaster movie in my opinion, won't spoil under after you watch it. lol

Grimbane42

My first experience with a tornado was thankfully while I was asleep. Went quite literally through our backyard.

I think javis grief is so overlooked in this movie

Emperor Raven

Woah that sounds INSANELY terrifying! :O

I feel you... disaster films are dope when done right!

Holycow that's just devastating, mother nature inflicted serious cruel and unusual punishment that tornado season! I have never heard of so many in a 24 hour period, I watch Ryan Hall's weather streams because they both fascinate and terrify me (plus I just like to stay on top of the weather).

I enjoyed watching this sequel with you guys!!! It was really a fun blast with such an enjoyable dynamic cast, I think they did the first film a ton of justice when many didn't think they would. Just like the first film the cast here has amazing energy, chemistry, dynamics, dialogue, and interactions while this film forms its own unique identity independent of the first film and never makes the mistake of actually leaning on the first film's success. Solid and fun film in general, really enjoyed the main characters and I loved how the trauma the MC faced early on rapidly unraveled as the film called for it. The romance subplot was amazing, I loved it because it was super magnetic and obvious, while "under the radar" the entire time as we see their relationship develop with the romance always acting as a shadow and never a primary agent of the film. I would like to see more clever writing, dialogue, and subdued romance subplots like this in other films... great reaction and review guys. Now I am off to watch your Scary Movie 3 reaction that just dropped! :D

I really enjoyed this reaction. I’d already seen the film, so in that sense I knew I was going to enjoy it, but seeing how much you all enjoyed the film – and that you didn’t just stop at the reaction, but went much deeper and took it all in: the characters, their emotions, the special effects, and so on. In particular, I really enjoyed seeing how you let your emotions flow whilst watching the film – not just the fun bits, but the deeper aspects too. I really empathise with how you experience the film because I’m exactly the same and I like to analyse everything. Personally, I empathised with and enjoyed Daisy Edgar-Jones’s performance and her emotional range. Having seen her in Normal People (a 2020 series I’d recommend you watch, if you haven’t already), I knew I was watching a truly brilliant actress, and it’s great to see her in a different genre and doing such a fantastic job.
