Hi everyone! πŸ‘‹

This is the second part of the tutorial series about one of my favourite Mathematical tools: linear interpolation!

Part 3 is available for preview for $5+ patrons.

This tutorial covers a powerful extension of linear interpolation to non-linear problems, called piecewise interpolation. This is a very powerful approach, especially useful for the ones of you who are looking into procedural animations.

The tutorial also comes with two downloads: the Standard package contains the script to perform piecewise linear interpolation on pretty much all of the basics types used in Unity: numbers, vectors, colours and even quaternions! The Advanced version, instead, includes a test scene, and the code to correct for colour curves and gradients!

As always, thank you for your support! I hope you will enjoy this new series, and if you have any question do not hesitate to get in touch!

Piecewise Interpolation - Alan Zucconi

This is the second part of the tutorial dedicated to one of the most used Mathematical tools in Game Development: linear interpolation! In this part, we will explore how to extend the concept of linear interpolation to non-linear mappings. The final part will explore how to use them to correct colour curves.
