I didn't get the feeling that Milchik felt proud after receiving those paintings from the board nor did he and Natalie looking at each other after strike me as romantically coded. Natalie looked pained and Milchik looked upset, it read to me like they were sharing a silent (and super tense) moment of understanding with one another that that was a really fucking weird "gift".

This show is so damn good. Also I think it’s interesting to look at Dylan’s meetup with his wife from her perspective. When you’re used to seeing a person like him who’s animated in a subtle and has certain joy for life versus her husband who it seems like has been weighed down by feelings of shame and inadequacy to where he isn’t really participating in life much anymore. It’d be weird to see some of the traits you feel in love with like that for someone who’s not really striving to live their life anymore

Here's my THEORY about Mr.Milchik and Ms.Cobel: They ARE both severed, but it's permanent. Since Cobel has that medical tube thing she might have lost a sibling or child and had nothing left. With nothing to lose she chose "suicide" by permanently severing herself after Lumon promised to resurrect her loved one. Or Maybe there was no severing and that's just why they're so invested in the company? Perhaps this is what they're practicing with Ms.Casey and Cold Harbor? As for Seth, I don't know; the guy's an enigma.

This show is so weird I love it. It feels like a bunch of random scenes where you understand nothing, but everything makes sense. Goat department is kinda cool, would prefer to work there instead of MDR. Goats are very cute

i didnt expect they would do reintegration this early into the season. makes me even more excited cos there's def something more cliffhanger-worthy at the end of the season. mr milchick and natalie's scene was insane! i think it's the most sinister one yet. it's just so unsettling to watch, the creators and actors did a fantastic job capturing performative inclusivity in companies/organisations.

I think what Lumun might be trying to prove is that they can completely, utterly and irreversibly sever the relationship between Mark and Gemma. Love mixed with heavy trauma is some of the most complex emotional turmoil we can experience. Especially when its the trauma of death taking a loved one away from you. Lumon could be trying to prove that Severance is indeed a PERFECT procedure even in this EXTREME of a circumstance, because if there is even a slight memory remaining, a sensation, a whisper, a bodily reaction being recalled in some way, perhaps they consider their process of severance imperfect? Why else are they sending people in a room with another person telling them about their outie and what their outie is like, and then monitoring how that information always provides comfort and pleasure to the innies? If the procedure was indeed perfect, the innies would have been indifferent to any information about their outies, right? Why does Lumon give these opportunities to their test subjects at all - obviously they are testing something. Then there's the name of the show - SEVERANCE - something that takes us away from one another, that cuts something off, or away. An opposite of that would be wholeness, togetherness, completeness... which is what seemingly no one at Lumon wants - departments are forbidden to interact with each other, employees arent allowed any intimacy, everything is so cold and disconnected - SEVERED. That's why I mostly feel like, the show is about the ultimate PROOF of Severance WORKING, which in Lumon's eyes could be - Mark and Gemma's love and trauma, and how no amount of memory altering can erase what they have lived and experienced together. This could be Lumon's worst nightmare, and for us the viewer, and possibly also what the writer/director intended to be the message of the show. A tad corny and predictable, but that could just be the sappy romantic in me. I obviously welcome the show to surprise me, and in more ways than one. I loved it so far.

I think its helena, at the end of ep 2 when they were all going down the elevator we hear a ding sound for everyone which is played when mark gets severed but we dont hear one when helena enters the elevator…🤔
