huh, i got through this arc in about a week (though it's far from a favorite of mine). like, one piece is largely a comedy, so this arc being focused on that just didn't put me off and i enjoyed it a decent bit, so i don't really get the whole idea of it being torturous to watch.

W One Piece Drop. I'm interested to see how TB feels One Paced, only complaints so far are them missing the soldier docking system reveals and not getting to see Luffy barking at Cerberus (might be a funny scene for Jack to show them just for the memes). I enjoyed Thriller Bark on my first watch but I def remember some parts of it feeling like I just wanted to get through to get to the meat and potatoes.

I love that Jack loves this arc. I personally really liked Thriller Bark. It's hilarious, introduces one of my favorite characters, and has a few of my favorite moments. I hope the boys get to enjoy the comedy in this arc because it really is a scooby doo type arc😂 Would've love that extra scene of Sanji and the cerberus making fun of Zoro tho😂

Sit back and enjoy the ride, Thriller Bark is one piece at its funniest, and it’s really the last arc of the story that’s like this. After this (and Fishman island) the plot really starts to take off and never slows down

also i think its kinda good to set expectations for this arc! its def v goofy and pretty scooby-doo lol, but i think if u go into it knowing that it'll make it much more enjoyable as opposed to waiting for the next 'peak' kinda thing 🤧 while i never really hated tb i was def someone who found more appreciation for it the more i rewatched it, and when i knew what to expect and could just laugh along~ there's definitely plot too, don't get me wrong, but i think its just easier to look at it that way for a first watch rather than feeling some of the drag at points too heavily

I think it's a solid arc in the manga, far from the best but still good. Toei just made it miserably slow plus Ussop screeching will never not make my ears bleed, but One Pace should help a lot.

Even without One Pace, there was a specific episode that ranked the highest among all the others they had already watched and for good reason. Everything about it was perfect from beginning to end. It didn’t even feel stretched out, because of the amazing things happened that you barely noticed the pacing. Jack knows whats up, I think just watching those episodes normally, starting right after M is defeated, will be good

I also saw a few other reactors where people were spamming the comments like crazy, and just by reading them, the reactors were able to figure out what was going to happen, even though no one directly spoiled anything. Too many people were dropping hints, and when you read a lot of comments about the same thing, you basically get spoiled anyway just by putting two and two together.

it's an edited version that removes the filler (one pace is a 1:1 to the manga more or less). They use it cause the pacing is better, so moments added by toei won't be included (i do like some of them but it is what it is currently).
