Heads up everyone, I didn't know til after watching the 4 episodes that there was some Broadway play of stranger things that reveals Vecnas power origins and explains how/why Henry is Hopper and Joyce age. I don't know why they would put all this info in a Broadway play but alas lol. I used the stranger things wiki (didn't know it existed either til today) to get the summary of all the Broadway info.

I love that Will finally stood up to Joyce. She means well of course. But without El, Will is one of their best shots at keeping track of the Hive Mind and figuring out Vecna's plans. And Joyce would rather him sit on the sidelines and be safe instead of contributing like the incredible asset he is.

Dustin doesn't deserve any of this but his attitude to others isn't helping as well. Those scientists last season were unarmed. It was the security inside the underground lab that were armed. The scientists though were all gunned down outside by the helicopter when they tried to make a break for it. They were unarmed... so Hop was right in that they massacred a bunch of unarmed scientists. Loved that Erica came prepared with Tina lol...I was getting worried since she wasn't eating any of the pie 😅 MAX IS BACK!!!

there's also like a year and a half timeskip between season four and season five so with all of the crawls and planning it probably got tiring from the character's pov to be using the government name all the time lol

I love Dustin so much and I feel for him after him losing Eddie who he loved right in front of him in such a horrific way but to say he doesn't deserve people snapping back at him is crazy. Have you even clocked in on his snarky tone when talking to most people. Yes, I get he is grieving Eddie, but he has been quite rude to many people this season especially Steve. Murray and Steve had every reason to snap back at him for his attitude and tone with them.

I really love how Will is finally taking a leading role in planning for the team! And when they showed him standing at the map with the pointer, explaining everything, I was watching it with full “proud mother” feelings 🥹🥹🥹 I’m also really happy their science teacher is back! It upset me that he wasn’t in the previous season. I keep saying how much I love the Will & Robin duo. Just like I expected, we’re getting little pieces of their conversations about homosexuality each episode until the whole picture finally comes together for Will! It was so sweet when he asked her how she realized Vicky liked her back. Now I’m 90% sure he’ll try to spot similar signals from Mike, even if he’s not actually hoping for anything!

That plot twist with Vecna’s body ending up with the military — wow, that was good! I didn’t think of that at all! But it explains why he mentally appears in his old form in the kids’ minds. Looks like this will lead to his release! And it also explains why Vecna didn’t do anything to Hawkins for 1.5 years and why nothing horrific was happening there after the previous finale. Even during Hopper’s crawls, he didn’t run into any demogorgons or demodogs.

The scene at Tina and Derek’s house almost brought me to tears! Especially when Derek burst out laughing after his dad fell. 51:18 — Erica was on a mission! Just fully turned into a kidnapper-maniac 😂😂
And the whole main group really cooked, of course, but imagine the family waking up after all of this and seeing what they did to their house! From their perspective, our main characters are literal villains and psychopaths! But the scene with the demogorgon fight was amazing! I loved how well they planned everything! Mike’s plan was genuinely good. You can tell they’re all experienced by now!

I was shocked too when it turned out to be Max, even though I was desperately going through everyone in my head, trying to figure out who it could be (definitely not Henry)! Like as soon as they showed the camera pov of someone looking from the woods and someone knocking the door, I knew it was Max while watching, because who else could it be ? She's the only one that basically got killed but is still alive and is in a coma.
