Never read the beginning parts of bleach in the manga but I did start reading it once Bleach went on a 10 year break picking from where I left off. However I'd still say that the current arc is a fantastic arc in the anime. I think even when taking most or all anime into account it's still a fantastic arc. Despite censorship or "poor adaptation" of the manga, it's still fantastic. I still haven't read this arc from the manga but regardless it's one of the best ones that anime has to offer.

Your critique "they know they're out there and not doing anything" was clearly because they sent Gin and figured that would be that, but now realised it wasn't and the captains then meet. I feel like yall need to rewatch the entire scene there cause you were not locked in on the dialoge (totally fair just saying).

29:55 Fun fact: Rangiku's hair color is an animation error, she canonically has blonde hair and it's something that gets fixed in the future. There is one more character that has their hair color changed and fixed. I will say that I do prefer redhead Rangiku over blonde Rangiku.

Objectively bleach has prettier characters. If Hancock, the prettier woman in one piece, appeared in bleach she would be mid. That's just facts. But that doesn't mean one piece lack fan service.. The idea that she would be executed for what she did didn't make sense to me so I was relieved that it is acknowledged as being odd. I completely understand where Jack is coming from. He's not necessarily talking about the pacing but the urgency seems quite low I guess. Using Enies Lobby was a great example. The urgency was there to save Robin so every episode felt like bang, bang, bang. Time felt like it was ticking and there was a lot on the line to save Robin. Versus right now in Bleach, we kinda have been chilling a little even though we are on a rescue mission. However, it's completely understandable. We came in defeating one of the gate guards who was considered strong but we got push back from someone even stronger. And we can't move forward unless we find a way to infiltrate. They still have a lot of time before Rukia's execution, so it makes sense we aren't as much in a rush. We have made progress, but I do understand what Jack is expressing. The direction for the start of Bleach is unlike the other 2 from the big 3, so they just need more time to get the fluidity of Bleach. At least we got introductions to new characters (the drippy cool ass captains) and learn more about the Soul Society which is building up the intensity and the arc more

I think it’s the way they insinuate the breasts. There are ways to draw and animate women with big breasts without sexualizing them, such as Methode from Frieren. I do get where you’re coming from tho bc people will assume something is fan service when it’s just the woman’s anatomy. Those people need to learn to distinguish the two. Such a good episode to end on, with all of the Captains being introduced. From the first time watching to now, it’s still one of the coolest shots/panels in Bleach. I would say One Piece definitely has the worst fan service in the Big 3. SPOILERS FOR THE GEKS!! Why I say that is because of two characters in One Piece Rebecca and Bonney. Rebecca specifically, with the armor in Dressrosa, is just weird and unrealistic. That kind of armor doesn’t make sense for combat at all and feels clearly designed for fan service rather than practicality. She is also 16, which just makes it even more uncomfortable, but the main issue is how the design itself is handled. I have heard people say the Donquixote Family forced her to wear that armor, but that’s never been confirmed. Bonney is also weird because she’s literally a child and is drawn like that. Even though she’s in her adult form, it still feels off. Also, all the girls in the Egghead arc are basically just wearing underwear, plus the way Oda draws some of their bodies. I would say Bleach is definitely the second worst. The biggest example is Orihime in the TYBW arc and her outfit when she’s 17–18. It’s not as bad as Rebecca and Bonney, though. I’ve heard people say Yoruichi told her to wear that to impress Ichigo or something, but that’s just headcanon. There are other characters like Harribel, the 3rd Espada, but most Bleach characters are at least adults, and they are not drawn the same way as in One Piece (especially post-timeskip OP). And Naruto is definitely the least in my opinion but still has some.

The pacing is definitely good in bleach at the moment, like One Piece is my goat but it definitely ruins serious moments or dire situations with the goofy things that usually the anime does. I also do like a lot of the goofy tropes/memes but Edies Lobby had highs and lows. Water7 was paced much better then edies Lobby.

I think it’s the fact that their breasts are constantly on display and unnecessary angles or jokes are made surrounding their bodies. You don’t see this as often with the men and it can be jarring

This might be an unpopular opinion but I don't think all sexual stuff in anime is necessarily fan service, like you's mentioned the table scene in Code Geass being one of the craziest bits of fanservice you's have seen but I see that less as fanservice and more of using something sexual as a plot point cause like... I mean is anybody actually out here "enjoying" that scene? I think it exists purely to show how far gone Nina was in her admiration of Sherry, how reliant on it she was that even in that dangerous situation THAT'S how she calmed herself down... Anyways, Brig's reaction to that is still the funniest thing I've seen on this channel, I died laughing just replaying that reaction over and over for literally like half an hour TABLE-KUN ASIDE I think you's should just drop everything and binge Bleach until you's finish it... jk but I am loving this sm I just cannot wait for you's to start learning more

Yeah…like we know the pacing is bad in one piece but does that mean he can’t point out pacing in other shows? And ofc he acknowledges it, he watched everything in OG like most watch it in. I guess since it’s his goat #1 anime he gotta prepare himself for the undeserved jumps😭. What’s funny is the bad pacing wasn’t even in pre timeskip, what fans mostly refer to is post ts pacing😭 I don’t think he was saying blasphemy, Bleach does have a significant better pacing no doubt, but there can be some slow moments

One piece definitely has way worse pacing overall, especially post time skip, but for maybe the first time ever I'm on Jack's side. Even one piece has points where it locks in its pacing when the plot calls for it. Having not watched Bleach in a while, I expected that point to have been when Renji and Byakuya first showed up and I wasn't expecting the goofy hijinks that has been the past several episodes. I feel like we're right on the cusp though.

Yeah I agree with you. I haven’t seen Code Geass so I can’t really say how much fan service it has. I’ll probably watch it at some point and maybe then I’ll understand what Carter meant, or maybe he was just tweaking lol. If you only look at pre timeskip OP then I can see the argument that Bleach is worse. But once you get into post timeskip it’s not even a debate anymore. And yeah Orihime has definitely been done dirty. For Naruto there’s the sexy jutsu, Tsunade, and Jiraiya being Jiraiya. A lot of what he says and does fits that too. Also people don’t always talk about male fan service. Like guys always being shirtless, Zoro for example, and almost every strong character having abs. It might not get called out the same way but it could be considered fanservice.

He has praised aspects like the VA’s and certain arcs, this one as an example. Obviously the filler doesn’t fully align with his vision, but it’s not a comment on the anime overall. Rewatching this after almost 2 decades. This is the first anime that got me reading the manga because I couldn't wait for the anime and the amount of fillers pissed me off. I was watching this at the same time as One Piece and Naruto but I was more drawn to Bleach than the 2 because I loved the concept of Samurai-like warriors. Damn I still hate Inoue after all these years. She irritates me so much. lol

bruh your guy's debate on fan service was hilarious. Scenes dont have to actually be sussy for an anime do have quite the fan service lol. One piece has absolutely has fan service haha just because a sussy scene is properly tied to the plot and not just slapped on top doesn't make it any less fan service. Also character design it self can be fan service whithout any sussy interactions. XD i think the only anime that comes to my mind (that i know you watched) that actally has no fan service is AOT
