NO SPOILERS 🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫

Las

"Zan Ken So Ki" refers to the basic four skills that soul reaper possesses. "Zan" = swordsmanship, "Ken" = martial arts (similar to Taijutsu in Naruto), "So"= movements (specifically refers to Flash step ), "Ki" = Kido.

snoobcat

GETSUGA… TENSHOOOO

Snow

Oh man we needed 59 with these! They go together so well as a trio! We are so ready for PEAK

Trae Young Supremacist

"yamamotsos bankai is probably a dragon" there's nothing thats going to prepare u for what it actually is and how cool it is.

Picasso

Bleach is so good 😩😩

Trae Young Supremacist

w. fellow soul society haters, people always try to defend soul society and i never will.

Crogadile

EPIC refresh pull

Crogadile

So pumped, literally just finished the episode 55-56 watch. LETS GOOOO

ggr

Cannon and Carter's hair looks epic

Jesse Herrera

Getsugatensho = Moon Fang Heaven Piercer

Kona

Lets effing go!

Lettuce

It got mentioned this episode, the anime never explains this stuff, it’s only in the manga

Las

I dont think it's ever been said in the show formally; it got mentioned in Japanese transliteration. But still, if this is a spoiler, then i'll delete it.

Yara

you guys hyping ichigo and his bankai is giving

Lettuce

They’ve mentioned central 46 before, they’re the main decision makers and ukitake tried speaking to them to not execute rukia but his appeals kept getting denied

GBuckets

Yall better finish off the last 5 episodes next week

kai

ichigos bankai transformation with the clothes ripping is one of the best transformations in bleach and anime + him speed blitzing byakua was insane

Mitch

I want to spoil so bad 🙏🏼🙏🏼

DarynkaD Bleach

Hi, Geks) If you want to understand Bleach better and on a deeper level, right after episode 63, check out: 1. Chapters -12.5/169, "Blooming under a cold moon" and -16/-016, "To Die on an ice field". These chapters were NEVER adapted into episodes. 2. Episode 227, "Wonderful error". This episode is an adaptation of a few bonus chapters. 3. The movie Memories of nobody. This movie contains some canon material that is important to the story ( Not the entire movie is canon, as the anime staff didn't faithfully adapt Kubo-sensei’s original ideas). 4. The light novel The honey dish rhapsody. Kubo-sensei co-wrote this novel, as he has with all Bleach novels. Unfortunately, it does not have an official English translation, but there're good fan translations available. I recommend this one (with Kubo-sensei's images for the novel) https://www.thebleachasylum.com/threads/bleach-novel-the-honey-dish-rhapsody.2941/

bigdog

I love Yoruichi and also Matsumoto’s cannons 🥰

Evelyn_Endwise

Having watched Bleach growing up, I memorized every single one of those complex Japanese names and who was in what squad and what position. Its world was my obsession. Seeing it again many years later and I can surprisingly still remember many of them.

Gage

HOLD THE LINE!!!!

sky

the link contains insane avatar spoilers of commenters

Vlad Blue

I can't wait for them to watch this opening in particular. Also, Patreon hates me it crashed in the middle of me watching this.

QUARTZ QUANTUM

Fun fact Ichigos bankai Tensa Zangetsu means "Heaven Chain Slaying Moon" And Byakuyas Senbonzakura Kageyoshi means "Vibrant Scape of a Thousand Cherry Blossoms"

sky

we're having a feast next week

Benio

Oh no. Why did I watch this? The wait is gonna kill me.

Kona

Bro i CANNOT wait any longer!!

Lothbrok

Crack hit, I repeat, Crack HIT

JevCor

Hey guys small favor, surely its not asking too much, ya'll should just watch the entire show and upload everything by next weekend. ❤️

DarynkaD Bleach

Do you mean profile images of commenters? If it is, i doubt Geks will look at them

Kai-lo

Crazy only 5 episodes left of this arc

Huxley Bennett

Cooking a meal and ironing a suit before watching this drop

Ayoodude

The amount of times I’ve rewatched the Bankai scene is crazy and finally y’all get to experience it

Kurofi

Ichigo was not blasting Kido. Yoroichi's ability is Kido based though. There is a difference.

Ayoodude

The cut away stuff never bothered me. The Bankai stuff is just so epic it doesn’t bother me at all..but I get the take

Clinky

5 episodes left of this arc, so please throw in a third episode in either of next weeks drops!

Daniella

It's not about the size Byakuya it's about the drip!!!

ooAlmondMilk

I dont think jack and mckay are gonna change their, but I wonder if by the end of it cannon or carter are gonna have bleach as their favourite shonen, it definitely feels like it has a shot, at least for now

Daniella

I know people have said this before but i really can't wait for you guys to get to tybw. The rest of the show is peak too of course, especially the ending of this arc, but i envy future me so much it hurts 🤣

gggoos

Best part about it is that Ichigo is going in both directions, so he was swapping his direction while going in a ring around byakuya

kai

reason fans love this fight is because this whole arc has been basically ichigo versus the ancient traditions of Soul Society. byakuya represents a younger member brought up in that society who feels the need to defend it (at his sisters and his expense) however he can, this whole clash has been ichigo showing him he shouldn’t follow the rules that would destroy his sister.

86 LilaS

Byakuya’s just cool period. And yes I’m biased

La

Man this reveal was crazier than the time cannon doxxed himself on stream!

T.Yaseen

It's finally here! BANKAI!!

Jeff

The wait for 5 days. Diabolical.

Erina

Ban-Kai

Fletch

Everyone talking plot points McKay - "whats the currency in this show.."

Maj

Ichigo got the coldest trash talk in the verse

Xen0n

yall only have 5 episodes left in this arc. Y'all could finish it next week?

Tea_Lover

Man rewatching bleach really reminds me of how many things JJK kinda took from it lol. Domain expansion aside Yoruichi and soi fong are so similar to maki and mai.

Angel Myrick

All they said was it’s cool calm down

Sari-chan

Ichigo suited up for the occasion! I understand the frustration with how they cut the action but with that many side characters and everything happening in parallel I am not sure how they would have avoided that edit. Besides maybe, a huge flashback after the main battle, but that would have been kinda clumsy too.

Jack

Well now I know it’s not a dragon… maybe lol

Jack

Ok, I thought they had mentioned it before. I’m Very interested to see what’s inside

Jack

DANG

Jack

Yes yes yes

Jack

Hey you never know

bebe

ahah nice reaction to ichigo's bankai, that sword was so sleek. btw we are only getting 2 days in a week, please do 3 eps at least that would be really great

Jnasty

Now they know he uses his bankai at some point, which is the main problem. I'm not surprised the most toxic dude in the comment section is doing this tho

KenpachiKam

the duality of being hype when bleach drops then depressed realizing its a week til next drop

Trae Young Supremacist

did they not expect him to use his bankai at any point? also what did i say thats toxic here? you seem overly emotional about this to say that lol

Jnasty

They had no expectations, and now you gave them expectations. You seem to have no problem with your past behavior, so there's no reason for me to try to make you understand.

Trae Young Supremacist

“past behavior” what are u even talking about. this sounds like some anime rival talk what lmao. u make it seem like i personally attacked u

Sunny

yeah I def agree that the last episode should have been an Bankai-only episode but well. I freaking love Ichigos Bankai soooooo much. These creative designs for the whole Shikais and Bankais are soooooo cool.

Sunny

Bleach as ur Childhood Anime would go hard, i mean imagine this: playing in the house or outside with swords and imagine how ur Shikai and Bankai would look like would be soooooo fun

Cyn

By far the drippiest anime. Kubo really went off on the character designs

Mack

The moment of truth

Kp__

We needed one more soooooo badly

AzorAhai

Didnt do 57-59? damn that really hurts the flow but oh well

jrnoodles

Thanks Geks! Bankai Tensa Zangetsu

Bradyy

Sick shirt Cannon where you get it

aye bee

absolutely must finish this season next week

Gutzilla3

Not every charecter uses Bankai. Thats clearly a spoiler.

Trae Young Supremacist

did anyone think the Captain of all the squads doesnt have a bankai while some people under him do?

Cadas

that's why he makes the big bucks!

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

@gutzilla ok but with that logic, youve now also spoiled that not every character uses bankai... 😅

Kurofi

SPOILER QUESTION I've heard the Geks ask on multiple occasions; how people get their swords....Mckay asked yesterday how Yamamoto acquired Ryujinjaka or during another drop someone asked if swords and their abilities are "inherited" through lineage etc.....I'm just curious how they got that idea and if it's ever addressed because I thought it was clear that their abilities and swords came from within the user and their spirit/soul? Idk, I've noticed the Geks ask this a few times (more than 3 drops at least) and wasn't sure if it was a spoiler to answer since it's been a while since I watched Bleach from the start and wasn't sure if it would be addressed in the near future. It's just been brought up enough and we're 60 ep in lol

Mags

Ichigo's bankai hilt is a Swastika. Its a religious symbol in Japan based in Buddhism called "Manji". Its also a reference to Bankai itself as the Japanese word is spelt 卍解. In Byakuya 's fight with Renji he likens himself to the moon. He says Renji is a baboon whose fang will never reach him. Renji does reach him but is unable to wound him. Here Ichigo unveils his signature move Getsuga Tenshō (Moon Fang Heaven-Piercer) and wounds Byakuya.

KazumaSpitfire

Swastika spins to the right and Manji to the left, so they are technically not the same thing but opposites

M-sama

They do have expectations considering they’re literally speculating what Yama’s bankai is in this episode.

Silentwtf

next few episodes are so peak...tf am i sayin, so much of this show has peak

Ben Everest

It's just beautiful man 🥲

KazumaSpitfire

I know that feeling, I've been watching other reactors who have made it up to TYBW already and it's been so refreshing seeing Bleach get the appreciation it deserves

Raoky

Obviously they didn't watch the 3 episodes together, they couldn't care less about what we tell them

Ben Everest

Very reasonable request 🤝🏾

Ben Everest

Can't wait for them to go through the colour spreads and covers

Ben Everest

The train tunnel fits 😮‍💨

Ben Everest

Was my second anime after naruto at 12 years old, was peak then and 12 years later I'm finally reliving that peak

Zess

You cant expect them to do every single thing we comment lol they have lives and a schedule.

tami

someone needs to explain that they can walk on air in bleach hence the flying, it's only explained in the manga not the anime, they solidify the reishi particles which essentially creates footholds - just like naruto with the chakra stuff when they walked up the tree or on water. no idea why they got rid of it in the anime

JevCor

This was filmed in one sitting with 55 and 56.

JevCor

Spoiler It will be explained at a time in the future.

Alexander

No triple drop is crazy 💔 but they clearly filmed these the same day so I get it

Kp__

McKay da goat

Kenji Harima

Waiting a week for the end to this fight is brutal 🥲

Jnasty

My man

Daniella

Same i’ve been rewatching so many clips on YouTube, the geks have reminded me how much i love this show :)

Benny

BAN…KAI! So much aura. Finishing on McKay saying “what the f is Final Fantasy” was diabolical.

Kenji Harima

This is pretty spot on, you could even get more specific since it was mentioned in show forever ago, but Ki/kido is classified into: “Hado” - Destructive “Bakudo” - Binding “Kaido” - Healing (never said in the series but implied)

mathiasmedswag

Mckay getting rage baited by the episode the entire time is so funny😭 (in the manga from Byakuyas SHIKAI to Ichigo stabbing him behind here at the end, it legit does not cut away to anyone else🔥) so i get the frustration man. Also getting rage baited by Jack comparing it to zangetsu after Mckay said that from the moment it was shown💀

ThirtyStik

These 4 eps are actually rage bait 😂😂

a_u_i_o

not really a spoil tho

St4rscream

Your reactions are so precious sometimes. Much joy they give. Especioully to things so old I can't remember my own original viewing.

Ninjinzo

Not a swastika.

Ninjinzo

Aot is still shonen btw 😭

Ron

I remember I was in high school when Bleach originally aired, I was the only one in my class watching it as they were all obsessed with Naruto. Over the years I gradually grew out of anime but just rewatching this now made me remember why I loved it in the first place.

Ninjinzo

It’s pretty easy to easily mistakenly look at a profile picture

Alexander

Imagine you're Kevin Durant and you whoop a random guy on the street 1v1. A month later he in the league dropping 30 a game on everyone racking up Ws, while saying your next. That's what Byakuya is experiencing

Hotdog

Mini-mustache McKay?

GBuckets

Nows the perfect time to get into TYBW if you haven’t already

tami

it was peak, i used to hold a kitchen knife and yell out different bankais -used to get in so much trouble as a kid lol

a_u_i_o

like for naruto (rasengan is yellow, not blue), the OG anime changed the color of the reiatsu, ichigo reiatsu is golden/yellow, not blue, keep it in mind as TYBW use the manga color, not the OG anime colors

Zorahul

Idk why soi fon's flash back has the "mexico" film filter on but it makes me laugh every time

mathiasmedswag

It seems from their outfits they filmed 55-58 all in the same day so it makes sense they couldn't listen to our ask of watching one more. Hopefully they'll listen before next week cause as we've said, would go MUCH harder to finish it off the arc next week.

zoldaic

BANKAI The first of manys So iconic

DarynkaD Bleach

It will spoil nothing if you do not know what it is

kuza

BLEACH

kuza

what a peak birthday gift 🤧

Zess

Swastika is the german version that was stolen, it was never originally the swastika

Alex Ramirez

I always felt that Gege got inspiration from Bleach's Central 46 for JJK's Jujutsu Headquarters (the authority figures Gojo hates)

GBuckets

After this arc, start at episode 110 not 109. 110 is the start of the next canon arc, not 109

victoria t

Soi Fon literally copied Yoruichi’s hairstyle from that time LOOOL

De'Andre Richardson

Pretty sure this was introduced with Kenpachi's appearance. It was also talked about in the Renji flashback so your good.

kuza

BAN KAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

kuza

ichigo just tp'ing right at byakuyas neck to show him and then backing off 😭😭🔥

Mack

His drip 🔥

kuza

brooo the cliffhanger 😫

kuza

next batch gonna be a movie

kuza

a whole week of waiting begins now

Mack

Ichigo looks like Anakin Skywalker when he joined the dark side

BipolarKitten

Cannon: “This guy’s PR trained. He always says cooler stuff.” Not the soul reapers getting professionally media trained 😭

Dobriv

It was mentioned in the renji flashback at the academy

Dobriv

Read your comment again and take a second.

JevCor

Happy birthday!!

Nick K

Byakuya is like Gaara but his sand is pink and he's a pompous ragebaiter

Snow

You ain't been paying attention G'rale

Matt C

“Keep in mind as TYBW uses the manga color” 🤓☝️ .Don’t get why you need to tell them that, they will see for themselves when they get to it

LuvStarburst

I like that the uploads are back-to-back but having to wait for a week till the next upload is painful. It's the same feeling of how I felt back when i first started watching this anime when it first came out and waiting for that weekly drop. I cannot wait to see your guys reaction to the closing of this arc.

Spidey

YOOOOO

Spidey

Finally off work to enjoy this masterpiece. Studio Gek has become my nightly routine at this point after work or school. Such a vibe rewatching the big 3 with yall and some of my other favorites!

Mack

This shows peak I want more!!!!

Herber

Yessssss!!!!

Nifty

The season ends within the next 5 episodes you guys might as well do a 3 episode drop for the Friday release to close it out. With that being said I also don't mind ending it with the last episode going into the new arc the following week.

ooAlmondMilk

Yeah I think they forgot about it, cause ichigo was litterally walking on air in episode 3

kuza

thanks yall 🙏❤

ahmad

Walking on air is just the unspoken shounen rule

ooAlmondMilk

I know but no one considers it a shonen tbf😅

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨❤️‍🔥

gaara's gourd is based off the sake gourd - its also something the tanuki in mythology (which shukaku, his tailed beast is) r often shown carrying

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨❤️‍🔥

'hes gambling aura' exactly carter 😂 byakuya IS cold...but he is saying a whole lot of the same all while its not quite panning out atm lol

Taesan Jo

Your profile picture is a spoiler

Hegataro

"That's no Bankai" "Peep 👇 the fit then"

Vallll

Can we get the rest of the arc in one batch? Like one drop instead of two.

christopher

dude if I died and was placed in a cast system in heaven i would give up on everything

Raoky

He just hyped the bankai please stop overeacting. It's a reaction channel, if you don't want any comment just don't upload videos about it like wtf. Have some respect for people who watch the channel

Shiki

Guts is actually the OG

NathSSB

Respec to zangetsus robe

Max Grodman

The schedule is so peak rn I’m having withdrawals on the weekends

Long Nguyen

KENPACHI FRIED CHICKEN LETS GOOOOO

Michael Iparraguirre

Im so torn between you guys going on this journey and watching and seeing everything for the first time and you guys getting to TYBW lol. Yes its that good and yes the whole show is good I CANNOT WAIT!!!

G. A

I won’t shut up about how much I like bleach’s fashion . Like every modern anime should take notes bc is too good 🧑🏻‍🍳😭😭

BROCODEDUDE

It's so funny how ya'll were so intigued and excited to see Soul Society during the earlier eps, but NOW you say that line at 48:54. Lmaoo.

Lettuce

Also I feel like they should watch a recap video of the filler arc just cause the anime keeps some characters around and uses flashbacks to it all the time

Lettuce

Just to reduce confusion when starting the next canon arc

sky

some people in this comment section just need to never type again for how much they hint and spoil to ruin this experience

Anh Nguyen

The anime's violence censorship is making the battles look a bit... silly to me idk. Like for example, Byakuya's bankai landed on Ichigo and left wayyy more damage in the manga. Meanwhile, all it does in the anime is leave a tiny bit of scratches lol. Highly recommend the Geks to just pick up a Bleach volume and just flip through the pages to see the art!

Mack

It’s Thursday and Fridays right bruh that’s a long wait

Nicholas Swanson

So true. And for what? Just to let the others in the comments section know that they've seen the anime before?Congrats, guys. you did it. Now let the geks get hyped, too.

Alexander

I think the alternating days schedule is better than the back to back drops. Not only because the wait is less but it also just gives more time to let the first batch of episodes get it's shine and attention.

Shade Barrow

It just keeps getting better 🔥 so excited for upcoming eps because you are not ready for what’s next

Shade Barrow

The fact that this much development happens in just one arc like no one is doing it like Bleach back then and even now

Nashi

Is he using Zangetsu’s clothes?

kpthpthhh

feeling withdrawals so im here again 2 days later

Kurofi

This is sorta hindsight merchanting. The very thing they have asked their subs to not do, multiple times lol. No one is overreacting,

Mack

Nah I like the old schedule

Mack

The next Gek news I expect to hear is that this was their favourite moment of the show.

Jenny D

It definitely is hard when they cut around a lot. You want to see the fight with Ichigo and Byakuya. Some of the cuts are definitely interesting and help cut the tension. Hard to believe we are 60 episodes in already! Ichigo's bankai is definitely cool. It's not as big and flashy as Byakuya's and Renji's, but the outfit definitely works for him and it gives him great speed. The flashbacks with Yoruichi and Soi Fon are definitely heartbreaking. She looked up to Yoruichi and then to just find her gone one day. That's rough. I am excited for the next drop!

Alexander

That's literally what im saying

DonDuh103

Can’t we just call it big slicey dicey sword attack😂😂😂 Your Rock Paper Scissors is weak, is a brutal insult😭😭😭

DonDuh103

Cannon that’s what I said since the first episode that Demon slayer literally stole the song😭😭

Mags

Manji is just the Japanese word for the counter clockwise Swastika in their written Kanji. You can see the clockwise version in Yu Yu Hakusho for example. The symbol, both clockwise and counter clockwise have existed long before the Nazi's co-opted it across many religions and cultures. That doesn't change the fact that the Manji kanji is a swastika, in the same way that the Hakenkreuz (hooked cross) that the Nazi's used is also a swastika just tilted 45 degrees.

kuza

oh man i cant wait next batch right around the corner ITS GONNA BE A MOVIE

Seb

the geks should listen to how they say bankai in the english version, i think it sounds better and it goes hard.

Reed Stevens

I remember being 14 watching Bleach on YTV after hours in Canada and being like "Bro, no way Ichigo's bankai hilt is a swastika..." Wasn't until years later that I learned what the shape really meant lmao

-

Rewatching this reaction has become a daily ritual for me lol

Akodros

Geks shook

Dexter Gaba

I guess this is a crazy comment- but back in the day- elementary school for me- this girl named Amanda Todd from the states committed sepeku by drinking Bleach. Someone edited Ichigo hair on her, and edited a bleach bottle with the logo right next to her. Your joke brought about that memory- not to make you feel bad, just a wild memory LMAO

Rachel

I swear Soi Fon and Yoruichi give lesbian energy

Riya

I got shivers when ichigo called his attack getsuga tenshou, omg it's been so long since I heard that and reliving those peak moments. And OH MY GOD WHEN ICHIGO DID HIS BANKAI FOR THE FIRST TIME, CHILLSSSS after all these years I felt it again
