I will say just from the intro, i knew what Carter was trying to say when he was asking what can Big Mom do, I just personally thought it was funny. But whenever a new character appears people get really excited but forget you guys won’t share that sentiment cause you don’t know anything. It’s nice to see hype but obviously if someone has a yonko status the geks know they’re gonna be a problem. Some things don’t need to be explicitly said in a reaction nor explicitly explained in the comments :)

I didn't think anyone was trying to hindsight merchant in the last comment section. I thought the comments were just being funny/sarcastic/trolling with Carter's comment. They revealed her being an emperor/yonko, and you know somewhat the weight of the title ever since Enies Lobby. And the show demonstrates power differences during Marineford. So, as a viewer after the reveal, you are already thinking "oh, she gotta be a big deal", especially based off how everyone else reacted after Luffy told her off😭 When I first watched that scene, I spit my drink because I was so appalled Luffy said that to a yonko😭 So, you guys saying things like "Now, were not gonna be surprised by her" just because people are hyping her up is or "we set the bar high" but I think you might be overlooking comments, if that makes sense. When a new character gets introduced, there's always gonna be hype for them. In this case, people are extra excited because it's our first reveal of a yonko since Whitebeard and Shanks. It's not crazy for the comments to be hyped that we're moving progressively with the story. It's the New World now, I'm just extra pumped😭🎉🎊 And you don't have to glaze everything but not everything is hindsight merchanting

It’s really easy to get caught up in hindsight and you sometimes forget that they literally have no context so it’s natural for them to have maybe underwhelming reactions in the moment. i get the hingsight stuff and yeah the comments should chill out but I feel like everything until this point has been laid out to understand how big of a deal certain titles are. In-world name drops of yonko, admirals, warlords, world government, etc. have carried certain weight in the world of one piece. Just by the name you should expect them to play a part in the story. Also want to echo that there was nothing wrong with how you guys reacted to last episode. Every time I start one of these reactions and hear that the comments on the last video were whack is so unexpected and weird. Hindsight merchanting is frustrating, I get people want to relive their excitement for scenes they love, but that scene might only mean so much to them with more context. Getting upset with you guys over this big mom scene of all scenes is so dumb. I hope that you can just ignore them and don't let them impact your ability to react to and enjoy Big Mom scenes in the future.

Just based off the intro, lowkey I don't think the Big Mom scene hype comes from Big Mom herself. It's supposed to be more of a shock that Luffy, just coming off of his training is already challenging a yonko. Our only idea of yonkos have been Shanks and Whitebeard so I think a good portion of the fanbase did react to it in a "Luffy just challenged a Whitebeard/Shanks level threat????". So an underestimation of her is probably just more of an uncommon reaction. But tbf assuming she is a Whitebeard level threat would be more of an assumption at this point and Carter was just being cautious cause we've gotten Moria before (HONESTLY MORIA WAS KINDA CRAZY, I DON'T LIKE THE GUY BUT HE GAVE THEM TROUBLE WHILE SITTING ON HIS ASS FOR MAJORITY OF THE ARC SO) Hopefully your expectations haven't been too ruined though💀🫠

i totally get what you mean nanami's wife, yonko's were already established as untouchable by the marines by their sheer power and how they basically rule the new world. sengoku had to end the war because shanks got involved. in contrast with the the warlords who are strong enough to deter other pirates but can still be negotiated with by the marines. i wasn't in the previous batch comments so i can't really speak on how much of it was actually "they're not ready for big mom ;)" merchanting or if it was just going over what yonko actually means based on what the show already gave us. a good etiquette i hope other patrons can start to follow is to let go of things and only bring it up once we're past it. and if they really want to talk about something in the future they use the discord OP channel while spoiler tagging

Thank you for understanding where I’m coming from🙏 The comments were mostly rage-baiting and I thought it was all jokes. I mostly saw spams of “BIG MOMMY IS HERE” or “man asked what can she do LOL”. I think a few was just reminding them of a yonko but no one was hindsight merchanting in their explanation. Jack replied to one of them with “fr fr”, so I didn’t think that we were gonna get ridicule in this video 😭😔😭 I don’t agree with anyone getting so angry at their reaction but I swear most of the comments seemed normal to me. Just trolls. I just hate for them to set expectations high just over some hype comments, most is just excited for them to learn more. I know they will keep having great experiences, and I hope this doesn’t affect it. I don’t think it will 😭🙏

It’s already been confirmed that big mom is an emperor so that means that can safely put her in the same category roughly as white beard (who they know the power of) based on stuff they have already seen. But people just taking it out of context it’s a valid question to ask what she can do. Bc they have no idea besides that she’s on the level of the other strongest character they have already seen. They aren’t gonna be super blown away from her first appearance so idk why people are mad that they weren’t. But they should still understand she’s on the same level of the other peak characters they have seen so far. So they shouldn’t let them knowing she’s one of the strongest bother them to much since it’s already been implied up to this point.

We know that Laboon and Brook came from the West Blue. The West Blue and the New World are both in the Northern Hemisphere, so if those whales are also from the West Blue, they would only need to cross the Calm Belt to reach the New World. And for creatures that massive, especially traveling in a pod, crossing the Calm Belt without being attacked by Sea Kings probably wouldn’t be impossible But Laboon followed the Rumbar Pirates up Reverse Mountain and ended up in Paradise, which is in the Southern Hemisphere. That means the Red Line now separates him from where his pod could be We don’t know for sure if those whales are actually Laboon’s pod, but it’s definitely possible. So maybe the scars on their heads are signs that they’ve been trying to reach him too

Genuinely I don't think anyone should ever think Sanji is stronger than Zoro. Not even hating on Sanji, but if you just look at their dreams it says everything. Zoro wants to be the greatest swordsman, Sanji wants to find the All Blue. Sanji happens to be strong because of his upbringing, but he could have easily been on the same power scale as Nami and it wouldn't interfere with his aspirations. I like to think of them as Luffy's right and left hand men cause of their attitudes and a lot of that is shown in the goat Water 7. Both of them make sure Luffy upholds his role as captain

Honestly man, I really hate these hindsight merchants. Not hate them exactly, but it just gets annoying. Like, as someone who watches a show with first-timers when I already finished it, i always try to be careful with anything i say. Because I know my words are affected by my own experience and knowing the story. So yeah, I obviously want you guys to just have fun and live your own experience without anyone ruining it, because I really enjoy that. But about this whole Big Mom thing, I feel like it’s being blown out of proportion a bit. Like Imagine if people were talking about a random character that just showed up and we know nothing about them. Let's say Aokiji when he first met the crew. If the episode ended right when they showed him, and before we even knew his rank, and we just saw him chilling with the crew on that island. If people started typing in the comments "why didn't you react?? why why why", then yeah, that would actually ruin your experience. Because we don't know Aokiji and the show didn't tell us anything about his rank, so you can't predict what he will do. The comments there would obviously just be pure hindsight. But with Big Mom, it's a bit different. I definitely don't want anything to gets spoiled for you for you and I want you to enjoy it as much as possible. And it's totally normal that you didn't give a huge reaction to her. It wasn't really a crazy mind-blowing intro that needed a big reaction, she was just introduced. But I mean about people's comments, and how you feel like your experience with Big Mom is ruined now because you know you should expect big things from her. That would be true if she was just a normal character with no hype. But Big Mom is literally a Yonko. The 4 strongest pirates in the sea. We know Shanks is one of them, and he's one of the most important characters because of his impact on Luffy. We saw another one, Whitebeard, literally the strongest man in the world. We saw how huge the Yonko are, Blackbeard became one and we saw how much of a threat he is to the world. We saw three of them: Shanks, Whitebeard, and Teach. And even if we didn't see them, we can just assume their level because their rank is the top 4 pirates in the sea. Big Mom is one of them. So it's not a surprise that she's a big deal or will have a huge impact. It's not like she's a nobody that people are just hyping up. The show actually sets you up to expect big things from her. You still haven't seen anything, and maybe people messed up a bit in the comments, but I just want you guys to know that your experience with Big Mom isn't ruined. Again, people have standards for what they consider a "good reaction," and I think those standards are also influenced by reactions from other creators who may have reacted differently than you did, despite not knowing what happens later either. To me, it wasn't even serious criticism of your reaction, it was mostly jokes, but to each their own interpretation. You see it in every show unfortunately, a character will make an appearance briefly and everyone will rush to the comments to give their two cents about them. Takes away the ability to form your own opinion naturally because people who have full context are setting your expectations. I saw it in the first few eps of The Walking Dead when everyone felt the need to share their favourite character, obviously indicating that person would be around for a while. But when you have a large community you can't really avoid that, people want to share opinions, I just hope it doesn't taint the experience for you guys.

Ah we are finally getting to the Zoro vs Sanji debate, this has actually been cleared up by Oda himself as it is a debate that has ravaged the community for years. In a panel to describe Sanji he stated: "A first-rate chef who takes care of the crew's stomach, and at the same time he's also a combatant, who fights with magnificent footwork. Though his bounty is lower than Zoro's, their abilities are evenly matched, worthy of being called wings." However it is important to keep in mind that while they are evenly matched that doesn't mean they share the same traits, Zoro is canonically physically stronger, while Sanji is faster. Sanji get's a lot of disrespect probably due to his comedy gag which is unfortunate.

On the whole hindsight merchant stuff I think a lot of people in the last comment section were ragebaiting or misinterpreted what Carter said. Although I think it is definitely a problem the One Piece community has more then other fandoms just due to the sheer length, that is that people can't understand that their favourite arcs or characters are completely unknown to people without context. It will be interesting to see when all their dreams are accomplished, and yes I agree that I wish all of them get a moment, a proper one where we can see them enjoying seeing their dream being fullfilled. Realistically I think most of them are going to happen really close to each other... For example Franky's and Brook's overlap a bit because by the time they reach Laboon they will have travelled by the end of the Grand Line. I imagine first dream to be accomplished could be Zoro's, then Robin's, Usopp-Chopper, Luffy-Sanji, Franky-Brook and lastly Nami's because there's a lot of places they haven't been yet and maybe they keep travelling together after Luffy becomes the king of the pirates... Although I don't think Zoro and Chopper's dream are in a rush, it really depends when Oda wants this to happen, for example does Oda want Zoro to be the greatest swordsman before Luffy becomes king of the pirates or the other way around? We'll have to find out

Those who just watched this intro, had no idea of what were exactly commented in the last drop but saying some fans are haters or have no life or are stupid are too much insulting. 10x worse than the level of hate in the last comment section.

AOT SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN’T SEEN!!! That’s like if they say floch from AOT is a goated character after watching the episode where he drags Erwin off the battle field. Of course they would think so after only seeing that part of the show. But we know that later floch is a piece of poop so we go in the comments and say “No Floch sucks. He had his crew jump an old man!!!” They have to be able to get there themselves in order to possibly share those same feelings for a character you like or dislike. Otherwise their reactions to the episode you mentioned will be less savory because they already know that character does something they may or may not like. It’s the same when arguing with other fans in the comments. Let people have their opinions. Agree or disagree but mentioning why in too much detail is where things go wrong.

I don't know what people expect. I hate the hindsight spoilers. The hindsight comments are too easy to see what they're really trying to say and its just spoiling the show. A lot of channels overreact on every reveal or anything because they know thats what people expect but you guys are more genuine and I respect that

I love how toxic anime fans who fight over characters or fight over MCs or fight over what shows are better or fight over peoples reactions dont realize that their favorite characters would probably hate them and their toxic personas. It’s okay if you watch a reaction and you’re disappointed they didn’t have the same reaction as you or nonchalant. That doesn’t mean you need to force anything or pretend, but I’m sure everyone has been thrown off from someone’s reaction. Example: You’re watching a Avengers Endgame reaction and they were nonchalant when everyone came together after Cap said “Avengers…..assemble”. Another example is Naruto. After you first get introduced to the Akatsuki, you’re shocked/hyped up. If you watch someone’s reaction to it and it’s nonchalant, you be kinda bumped. No matter what show you watch, when it hypes up an unattainable title (Hokage, Yonko, Soul Reaper), you and others will be hyped up no matter what. When Big Mom was revealed 14 years ago everyone was hyped up without knowing anything abt her. The hype doesn’t tell you anything abt the character other than people are excited. And it’s not even Big Mom that is creating the hype, most people if not all focuses on Luffy telling off a Yonko for the first time. So, try not to assume stuff from comments because that affects you more. I totally understand hindsight merchanting and there are limits. But when Whitebeard was revealed nobody got ridiculed the same way they hyped him up like Big Mom. All in all your guys reaction was enjoyable to watch but I hope you know most of the comments were mostly just trolling/sarcastic. Im not defending anyone who was angry or hating either.

Okay so I reacted the same exact way when I saw Big Mom for the first time. And I definitely don't think anyone should be criticizing the way you guys react. Authenticity of reactions is important. And that being said, guys try not to let the hindsighters influence your reactions or opinions. You still don't actually know what Big Mom's role is, so just go in with an open mind about her during your watch

I do not think there there was much hindsight in the previous comments. The power levels have already been explained several times, she is one of the yonko, the same level as whitebeard. Once but I don't remember what was said anyways the movies are great. They NEED to watch BARON OMATSURI, STRONG WORLD, FILM Z, GOLD, STAMPEDE, RED & for extra Mugiwara Cheisu. The rest is just a retelling of the earlier arcs with random fluff. ~ P.S. Non of the movies are actually canon. They may have canon characters & plot lines but over all, all the movies don't affect the source material.

SPOILER WARNING: I did not Like how Oda basically made her a really strong punching bag for kid and law to beat up until it finally falls. Her character was not the most intelligent. She kept allowing things to happen to her. I didnt like how she had amnesia. And I found her laugh extremely annoying
