Very accurate statement. There are definitely great moments and eps at the beginning, but at times you might start to question if Bleach hit a wall. But there's light at the end of the Dangai. For me, after the rough early stages, this arc is on par overall with the Soul Society arc, and in some ways it even exceeds it.

to answer yalls question, an arm in bleach does make a great difference since the bodies are spiritual this basically just means that everything is made out of reiatsu and contains reiatsu so like to put it easily when grimmjow was missing an arm he was basically missing a ton of spiritual pressure thus making him automatically weaker which was also why he got kicked out of the espada because his spiritual pressure got decreased and yeah obviously his choreography and fighting style would also be restricted since he has an arm less but yeah

The crazy thing is Kubo hinted at Isshin and Ryuken’s relationship way back in episode 4. There’s a scene where Isshin calls Ryuken’s hospital to get some patients admitted and says: “Tell your boss it’s a request from Kurosaki, he’ll find me some free beds real quick!”

"The expression is used metaphorically and is especially common when people reflect on simpler, more joyful periods of their lives. For instance: "They fondly recalled the halcyon days of their youth." "He often yearned for the halcyon days of the 1990s, before everyone had smartphones." meaning an idyllically happy, peaceful, and carefree time.

Jack, Ichigo is known for not having complete control over his spiritual pressure, because it's so large it constantly leaks out. He doesn't mean to "throw it around" it just happens. The same thing happened when Byakuya, Ukitake and Rukia were on the bridge in ss arc and he showed up :)

Regarding the next arc, Hueco Mundo. A lot of people say every bleach arc is the same, just hence and repeat, and that comes a lot because we have 2 arcs with very similar structure so close to one another. Imo, that's stupid. Bleach has 8 arcs, of those eight only two are similar, and they're similar on porpuse, more in spoilers. For example a good 80 percent of One Piece arcs follow a basic structure: The straw hats go to an island, they meet someone whos in trouble, they save them, we learn their story, the island's culture and help them by defeating a form of corrupt sistem. Just because a lot ot the arcs are similar, that doesn't mean they're automatically bad, in actuality they're good, a lot of them. The same with bleach. They are similar in some aspects and different in others. Spoilers: Hueco Mundo is supposed to be the inverse of Soul Society. Where in ss ichigo develops his shinigami powers achieving bankai, aka his enlightment Im Hueco mundo he develops is hollow powers and gets consumed by them, a "fall from grace". Just compare both final fights, vs byakuya and ulquiorra. Against byakuya the hollow comes out, but ichigo is able to take control and end the battle on his terms, the end of the battle he screams in euphoria. Against ulquiorra white takes control, and when ichigo comes back the fight is over, ulquiorra is disappearing and ichigo can't bring himself to deal the finishing blow. He's the opposite of euphoric after defeating the enemy, he's troubled with himself, he doesn't recognize white as a part of him. Later on going with Fake Karakura Town Aizen himself says that ichigo is afraid of using his hollow powers. Sorry for the long rant😅😅

Yeah you're heading into relatively bad pacing territory now after this one. They didn't have enough canon to adapt for all these so they filled some of the time with anime-only fluff and flashbacks. Thankfully it picks up after that but if you had the stomach for a binge at some point this is a good time.

They have only pretty much refered to vasto lordes when hitsugaya was talking about them to Ichigo and then they cut to the scene of Aizen telling Ulquiorra to reveal the info to "20 brothers" which would hint that there are 20 vasto lordes. But seeing that those people also included the people who followed Grimjoww who got dumped on, it's unclear how many vasto lordes are under Aizen commands. So there isn't any accurate information at this point

When hitsugaya fought number 11 he said a lot more. 11 said that every Arrancar from 10 and up was of a "different leve" basically alluding to the fact that they are Vasto Lordes. Up until this point, we are meant to believe that all Espada's are Vasto Lordes.

For the googling thing I have no idea what something like Bleach wiki has and how easy it is to come across spoilers but at least please don't go to wikis. At least for another series I was consuming as a novel form, the wiki will literally spoil things in the first 1-2 sentences of a character page. So I would advice at least not to go there and good on you guys to not google lmao

Early Hueco Mundo is kind of slow and feels fillerish, but once we get past this early part things pick up hard and will stay at a high point for the rest of the arc and the rest of the series actually. A lot of peak to come.

We are meant to believe that they are tho by this point. That is what I keep saying. By this point. From what the boys have seen. I’m not talking about any information that comes after. Around Episode 115, Hitsugaya warns that Aizen has over ten Vasto Lordes, suggesting that having even a few would mean the ruin of the Soul Society. This sets the expectation that the most powerful members of the Espada belong to this highest, terrifying echelon of Hollow evolution. Jack was saying he doesn’t have 10 when it has been eluded to that he does…..which is why I asked what is he talking about. lol

I will say that the next upcomming eps (not 100% sure what ep this starts on) you can probably watch like 5 episodes and get make it feel like you're gonna watch only one. Basically, at this point in time the anime got so caught up with the manga they had to stretch out the plot by A LOT. So not only are there filler episodes, but the episodes themselves will all follow a similar pattern. They start with the OP, have a 5+ MINUTE long recap of whats been going on, actually play maybe 10-15 minutes of actual new plot, and ED, and then a random fun cartoon that'll last maybe another 5 minutes. It gets a bit annoying. I actually struggled with it when I was trying to follow each new ep when it was airing and ended up dropping it in favor of just reading the manga instead. So you might have to skip a lot when that happens.

Orihime literally says why she is taking orders from Aizen at the end of the episode. She's try to show that she is useful to them because Ulquiorra threatened to kill everyone if she doesn't comply, and she wants everyone to have time to train and get stronger. She knows it's not helpful to heal the enemy, but she believes her friends will be able to get strong enough that they can overcome it all

I know it's frustrating to see what Yamamoto is doing... but we have to remember that as viewers, we're protagonist and narrative merchants. We're following and on the side of Ichigo's group and know all of the details in a "god's eye view". But Yamamoto has none of that. He's only concerned with protecting literally all of existence! To him, Orihime is simply just one mildly powered girl. And he's not wrong: the fact that she healed Ichigo means that she had autonomy on some level. Given that he knows nothing about her like we do, or the reality of what happened, it's a completely fair conclusion that she defected.
